After a few days of hard work our team and I finished putting down a new floor in the main room in the house of a poor family of 10 here in teh slum. I was tried put had to thank God for the opportunity to bless that family. Looking forward to continue to finish the rest of thier house. The next day we received a letter written by the mother of the family saying that we where no longer welcome in thier house and if we were to go back her husband would leave them... It makes me sad to see how so many kids have to suffer becasue of the stupidity of their parents :( well after that I was sad but I parted for the next project.
Living and working here in the slum has been very stressful for Cl�o (a little for me to) and her health has not been the best. I have been worried about her continuing to work here and was not to sure what to do any more. After thinking and praying about moving to the main base where excites a more peaceful environment, I had peace about it and I believe that it will be better for us there. We are going to continue to come serve in the slum (Complexo da Alem�o) one time a week, where I am planning to continue working with needy families and construction projects, with the families that the base is working with.
