| The complexo do alemao is located in the north zone of Rio de Janeiro, between the districts of: Ramos, Olaria, Inhauma and Bonsucesso. Made up by 12 needy comunities (slums), with a population of about 300 thousand habitants. It is known for its violents through the drug trafficking which is the last years has been consider to be one of the biggest selling points in Rio de Janeiro. Youth with a Mission has been in the Complexo sense March of 1997 with the vision to meet the communities basic needs, living in the same difficulties that they confront, | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| getting to know their problems and then bring our plan into play, and accomplishing our goal. "To know God and to make Him Known." | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We work with varies members of the community offering them the following courses: Computing, Painting on fabrics, English, Manicure and Pedicure. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The kids have been our biggest challenge. Every new generation of kids has the possibility of being influents to take the wrong path. We believe that Jesus can change the reality, that is why we offer the kids a workshop two times a year, for 5 months (morning and afternoon), with different activities like: workmanship, school reinforcement, capoeira (a Brazilian dance), circus (juggling and acrobat), singing and Discipleship. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We receive help form church teams, universities, outreach teams from YWAM national and international. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We have visited and accompanied some families offering spiritual help. By having bible studies with the families and some of our students for the courses. Meeting in one of the members house from the slum and with another group in our house. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
