| THE ANIGHTTELEVISON AWARDS are my Alternatives for the NAACP Image Awards and they are, in my opinion, reperesents the best of the given Television Season. The Anight Awards celebrates the best in the African American Television community. This is a counterpart to The Anight Movie Awards which celebrates the African American Cinema community. The Anight TV Awards started in the 1998/99 Televsion season. |
| EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND Everybody Loves Raymond wins the most awards, 5 of its six nominations in the Comedy Series category. Wins included Comedy Series, Leading Actress (Patricia Heaton), Supporting Acyor (Brad Garett), Supporting Actress (Doris Roberts), & Writing. Bernie Mac took home Leading Actor, while Scrubs grabbed the Overall Direction Award. For the second year in a row, South Park took home Primetime Animated Series. |

| SIX FEET UNDER Six Feet Under was the big Dramatic winner, taking home 4 of its 8 Nominations. Wins included Dramatic Series, Leading Actress (Francis Conroy), Supporting Actress (Rachel Griffiths), & Overall Wrting. 24 was next taking home 2: Leading Actor (Keifer Sutherland) & Overall Direction. The West Wings only win came from John Spencer's supporting actor award. |

| THE BERNIE MAC SHOW The Bernie Mac Show was the big winner of the night, winning 5 awards of its 6 Nominations. The awards included the top prize of Best Comedy Series, along with Best Leading actor in a Comedy (Bernie Mac), Best Overall Writing & Directing in a Comedy Series, and Best Younger Actor in A Comedy or Drama (Jeremy Saurez). My Wife & Kids,The Job, & The Steve Harvey Show took home Leading Actress (Tisha Campbell), Supporting Actress (Karyn Parsons), & Supporting Actor (Cedric "The Entertainer"). |

The next big winner for the night was Boston Public which took home 3 awards including, Leading Dramatic Actor (Chi McBride), Younger Actress (China Shavers) and Overall Writing in a Dramatic Series |

Winning Daytime Series, Leading Actor and Actress (Hunt Block & Coleen Zink Pinter), and Overall Writing. Following in its foot steps was The Young & The Restless with 3 wins, Supporting Actress & Younger Actor (Sabryn Genet & David Lago) along with Overall Direction. |
