Incentives

Executive Order No. 67 amending City Ordinance No. 280

  • Tax Holiday Incentives - LIB registered business enterprise shall enjoy the following:
    • Exemption from tax payment of all kinds of business taxes imposed by the City Government.
    • Exemption from tax payment of all local licensing and permit fees.
    • Exemption from all inspection and examination.
    • Other exemptions, privileges and incentives, as may be provided, by the Sangguniang Panglungsod.
  • Privileges
    • Free use of government land owned by the city if the business concerned is to construct infrastructure at less developed areas as may be determined by the LIB & approved by the City Council. Provided that the ownership of said infrastructure will be transferred to the City Government at no expense upon the lapse of 20 years from the completion of the infrastructure. Provided, further that the proposed site is not allotted for government use.
    • In case the registered business enterprise decides to continue its business operation after the expiration of the privileges granted under Ordinance 280 as amended, it may continue to occupy the infrastructure without any rental. However, it is to pay for the lease of the lot occupied by the constructed infrastructure at a reasonable cost to be determined by the City Assessor.
Major tourist attractions
  • Dinagyang Festival is a festival characterized by stoping of the feet and hypnotic drumbeating. It is a colorful whirl of people dressed in unique costumes, dancing and chanting.
  • Jaro Town Fiesta (Nuestra Señora dela Candelaria) is the biggest and most opulent religious pageantry in Western Visayas. The blessing of candles and the yearly procession of the patroness, the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, is followed by the Fiesta Queenand her court.
  • RACSOS Inland-Woodland Resort is the only wildlife resort in Western Visayas. The place is a combination of theme park, zoo and resort.
