Welcome to my Skink Army Page!!

My army follows the rules for an official Southlands Lizardmen Army.

To date I have all the units available for the army listing.

I got Skinks up to wah-zo and a fair number of everything else. I don't include Saurus, just to keep to the 'skink only' theme. In my roster is a pair of Salamanders, six Kroxigors, ten Chameleon Skinks, six Jungle Swarms, four Terradons, and a nice little Stegadon. I have just got a hold of some Horned Ones Cavalry, but haven't built them yet.

For my lords and heroes I have a nice little Slann, half a dozen different looking Skink Shamans for variety, and a Skink Chief for fun. The shamans are all converted old skink standard bearers, each displaying a symbols of the all the more common Old Ones.

I currently run games at 2000 points. This will include a Skink Chief, three Skink Shamans, six Skink Skirmisher units; three at twelve strong armed with shields and javelins, the other two at ten strong armed with short bows, the last is fourteen strong that are scouts and armed with javelins and shields, a full Jungle Swarm, a unit of four Kroxigors, a full unit of Chameleon Skinks, a unit of four Terradons, and two Salamander hunting Packs. I give all my shamans power stones so that my magic will be almost unmatched. With this bonus, I can cast spells without worry. Although in most games the magic phase really doesn't win the game, for me it has turned the tide.

Wonderfully, I can easliy tune my army to a 3000 point force. In this I include my Slann, who is fourth generation, another unit of Skink Skirmishers, this one at twenty five strong all armed with shortbows, two more Kroxigors, and my nice little Stegadon. I add in some magic items and that caps it. With this force, my magic is really awesome and
I have blown away entire units with some well placed spells.

I have tied more battles than I have won AND lost combined.
My number of victories have been not so great but thats better than a bucket of defeats.

The great thing about playing the Skinks is that they are always on the move. Keeping in loose formation and flowing all over the battlefield keeps my opponents guessing. Tie this with the Terradons and the Chameleon Skinks, who really tick people off, my army does a good job of causing confusion and disarray. The only bad thing is that they only got a T of 2. But my sheer numbers and well as shamans help play it out.

I haved mainly played against my friends or their friends. They include an Empire force, who is very flexible and has the widest diversity of troops; a Tomb King force, who mainly goes bows and catapults, with a small unit of chariots and a deadly set of tomb swarms and scorpions; a Night Goblins force, who is now becoming more and more like a normal goblin force; and a Dwarf force, who really is heavy on the shooting. Their biggest beef with my skinks is two main things, my magic and my cold blooded leadership. This I can understand, but hey, they're my enemy on the tabletop so they can whine all they want.
