David and Goliath the Giant: The Prophecy of Yeshua vs. AntiChrist
The story of king David is very prophetic, we all believe that he was of the typology of Yeshua, yet the typology I am about to show you I have never heard preached by the modern shepherds before. It is about David and Goliath but the story begins in Genisis.

Genesis 6:1-9
1  And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2  That the sons of G-d saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3  And the L-rd said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of G-d came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5  And G-d saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6  And it repented the L-rd that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7  And the L-rd said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the L-rd.
9  These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with G-d.

The first thing I notice is that not only were there giants, (HaNpiliym or Nephilim), in the earth in those days, but the scripture also says that there were these giants also AFTER those days. This had to do also with the fact that the sons of G-d came unto the daughters of men and impregnated them, causing the offspring of these giants! What is going on in this story? The clue is the fact that Noah was perfect in his generations. Does this mean that he was a perfect man like Yeshua? No way possible! The intent of Lucifer and his fallen angelic counterparts had one goal in mind, to destroy or taint the lineage of the Meshiach who was to come! If G-d had allowed this plan to succeed, then the lineage of Christ would have been tainted by these sons of G-d cohabiting with women. So then, the text of Gen. 6:9 says that Noah was perfect in his generations, meaning that his bloodline was still pure. And it is quite possible that his was the only pure bloodline left of all the tribes of earth. The tainting of all of the other lines, except Noah and his sons and their wives, caused G-d to repent that he had made man on the earth, and so G-d destroyed that wicked generation, saving Noah, his sons, their wives, and the all-important bloodline of Yeshua.
Now this is where the story of king David comes into much better focus, for if Gen. 6:4 says that there were also giants AFTER those days, then we may expect to see them mentioned again in scripture. One of the words used to discribe the children born to the Nephilim in Genesis 6 was hagiboriym. It is the same here with Goliath, (Gibborim), and it means Great Hero or Hero; a man of great name and fame; renown. In fact some translations use the word Heroes in Genesis 6:4. This gives us the direct link we have been missing! For Great Hero is the same blasphemous name that the later Herods took for themselves! Greek Herod means song (or ode) of the Hero, hence: Hero-ode= Herod! Herod the Great was from Ashkelon, one of the five cities of the Canaanite kings, (the cities of the lords of the Philistines).
In the story of king David we find that Goliath was a giant, and the hero of the Philistine armies, and he definately represents the antichrist. And guess what else, he was a Philistine of the lineage that the modern Palistinians claim! I believe that the Palestinians are correct in their lineage: where does the scripture say they were ever completely wiped out? It does not say they were ever wiped out! Has there been some modern story telling when it comes to thePalestinians of today? Of course! But dont let that fool you.they have a place in prophecy and just like the Philistines: G-d will use them, in His own way, to fulfill the destiny of Israel. We shall, therefore, take a closer look at the story of David and Goliath the Philistine.
    1 Samuel 17:1-11
     1.  Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim.
     2.  And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines.
     3.  And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.
     4.  And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was
six cubits and a span.
     5.  And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.
     6.  And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders.
     7.  And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed
six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.
     8.  And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.
     9.  If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.
     10.  And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.
     11.  When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

Now the first thing to confront us in this story is the enormous size of Goliath, six cubits and a span! This would be about nine feet tall or so. When we see professional basketball players they tower over us by a foot or two, and they seem huge to us. This Goliath would have towered two feet over the modern baskatball players, and he was not thin like them; he was a muscle-flexing killing machine with a giant sword in his hand. The fear that the Israelites had may be summed up in the same words that are said of the antichrist in the book of the Revelation, who can make war with him?
The next thing I notice is that Goliath was six cubits and a span and his spear head was six hundred sheckles! The number 666 is associated with Goliath as well as with the antichrist, and as with the great image of Nebuchadnezzar. The next part of this passage is the fact that here we have the brass and the iron mentioned together, (once again) as the weapons and shields of Goliath the great beast of a man. The last thing I will make mention of is the fact that here we have the mention of the armies of Israel ready to go into battle but no mention of G-d in this part of the passage, and when Goliath says to the Israelites am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? The armies of Israel could have said we serve the Living G-d of Israel, but instead they all became afraid.
     1 Samuel 17:12-16
      12.  Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.
     13.  And the three eldest sons of Jesse went and followed Saul to the battle: and the names of his three sons that went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next unto him Abinadab, and the third Shammah.
     14.  And David was the youngest: and the three eldest followed Saul.
     15.  But David went and returned from Saul to feed his father's sheep at Bethlehem.
     16.  And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself
forty days.
Here we have the typology of Christ already evident in the first words about David: he was a shepherd over his fathers sheep, and he was from Bethlehem. Now the forty days that Goliath presented himself to oppose the armies of Israel is also important, for this is indicative of the timeline of the two-thousand years that Satan will oppose the true armies of  Yeshua, the congregation of Yeshua, the body of Christ is the armies of G-d. How is the number forty indicative of two-thousand years? Two-thousand years is forty Jubilees. So then with the thirty Jubilees that came before Christ we will end up with a total of seventy Jubilees altogether. When our forty Jubilees end, Satan will be kicked out of heaven and no longer be able present himself before G-d and accuse us!
   1 Samuel 17:17-33
     17  And Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for thy brethren an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp to thy brethren;
18  And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how thy brethren fare, and take their pledge.
19  Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.
20  And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle.
21  For Israel and the Philistines had put the battle in array, army against army.
22  And David left his carriage in the hand of the keeper of the carriage, and ran into the army, and came and saluted his brethren.
23  And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.
24  And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.
25  And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.
26  And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living
G-d?
27  And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.
     28
And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.
29  And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?
30  And he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.
31  And when the words were heard which David spake, they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him.
32  And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.
33  And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.

Here again we have the story of Jesus Christ portrayed in the life of David, he is sent by his father to his brethren with food and sustenance, and to inquire for his father of their well-being. He hears what Goliath says and this is Davids inquiry: who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defie the armies of the living G-d? And he is condemned by his own brothers who accuse him of pride and leaving the flock, and coming just to watch the battle at hand. So far the story flows perfectly and here is where it gets really interesting:

1 Samuel 17:34-36
34  And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a
lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
35  And I went out after
him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.
36  Thy servant slew both the
lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living G-d.
Where else do we read about a
lion and a bear being destroyed by Christ at his return? Isnt Christ Jesus the rock that smotes the great image of Nebuchadnezzar? Remember the four great beasts of Daniel chapter seven? This is truly the typology of Christ being played out by David, he says that a lion and then a bear came after the flock and took one of the sheep, but notice when he explains to Saul how he smote the lion and the bear he says; And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me. David refers to the lion and the bear as if they were one beast, yet later tells Saul that he slew them both! He also says that Goliath will be as one of them.

Daniel 7:2-7
     2.  Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
     3.  And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
     4.  The first was like a
lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
     5.  And behold another beast, a second, like to a
bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
     6.  After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
     7.  After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

For a complete break down of these four end-time beasts see
The Four Horsemen. So what does the story of David and Goliath point to? Goliath represents the revived Grecian-Assyrian-Seleucid-Babylonian empire of the antichrist: the kingdom that will arise from the coming little-horn state of Palestine now emerging so violently on the world stage. And it cannot be missed that one simple little fact remains; Goliath was a Philistine from Gath! David obviously represents to us the first advent of our L-rd when he was rejected by his own, and the second advent of our L-rd when he returns to save his own and slay the Philistine and his army!

1 Samuel 17:37-58
     37.  David said moreover, The L-rd that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the L-rd be with thee.
     38.  And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.
     39.  And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.
     40.  And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him
five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.
Now what does the stone represent? David will only need one stone to strike down Goliath, the stone we know represents Yeshua. Why is it smooth? It was buffeted and polished as Christ was for us. The stones are even taken from the brook, I wonder if this represents the brook of life, the water of life, the Holy Spirit? Hmmm.

41.  And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.
     42.  And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.
     43.  And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
     44.  And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.
     45.  Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but
I come to thee in the name of the L-rd of hosts, the G-d of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
     46.  This day will the L-rd deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and
I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a G-d in Israel.
     47.  And all this assembly shall know that
the L-rd saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the L-rd's, and he will give you into our hands.
     48.  And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.
     49.  And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence
a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.
     50.  So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with
a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
     51.  Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.
     52.  And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.
     53.  And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents.
     54.  And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent.
     55.  And when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot tell.
     56.  And the king said, Inquire thou whose son the stripling is.
     57.  And as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him, and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.
     58.  And Saul said to him, Whose son art thou, thou young man? And David answered, I am the son of thy servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.

The last thing I will say about this passage is that if the stone that the builders rejected is this same stone of David, (and also that of Daniel 2), then the stone represents not only Yeshua, but also the word, remember that the word became flesh and dwelt among us. Isnt this exactly what the book of the Revelation tells us will happen? Yeshua the Word will slay the wicked with a breath and His Word as He returns. Not by spears, nor by the sword, but by the Spirit of the L-rd. Now David was a typology of Christ in a spiritual way, but the stone he slung represented the typology of Christ in the real and physical way that Yeshua is about to impact our world in this last of the great days. Goliath, the Philistine from Gath, represented the antichrist and his armies being defeated at the final great day of judgment. David struck down the giant with a blow to the head: Christ will strike down the Beast with a blow to the feet, (10 toes of Daniel 2), and the same blow strikes at the forehead, or brain of the Beast: thus we have a connection between the Palestinian little horn who rises with a small people and the American "forehead" of the Beast.
