C hris Jepperson is a native of San Diego, California. He holds a bachelors degree in music from Rice University and a Masters from Yale University. He was winner of the Texas Young Artists and has participated in the Festival at Sandpoint and was a fellow at Tanglewood. He spent a winter studying at the Banff Centre for the Arts where he begun lessons with David Shifrin with whom he studied at Yale.

In June 1999 he participated in the International Clarinet Festival in Oostandt, Belgium as a guest soloist premiering James Cohn�s �Evocations� for clarinet and orchestra. He has been principal clarinet of the Symphonic Orchestra of Colombia, the Philharmonic of Bogot�, the Symphonic Orchestra of Xalapa, Mexico. He premiered the Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra by Diego Vega and the Concerto by Luis Antonio Escobar with the Symphonic Orchestra of Colombia. He has been a member of the Quintet of the Americas in New York and currently is working in the Chamber Music Society of Bogot�. He has recorded with XLNT, MMC and OO Discs in New York.

Mr. Jepperson is a professor of clarinet at Javeriana University, Central University and the University Foundation Juan N. Corpas in Bogot�. Besides the Chamber Society, he plays regularly in contemporary music projects and in the trio, "Fagotangueando" and Zarzuela. He is the founder and webmaster for Clarinetes de Colombia.org . In November 2008, Mr. Jepperson will perform as soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogot�.
