I did receive a response to the Monopoly card.

Dear sir   i got your mail if that is the way you understand it,all the best.   john

I wrote him back.

You're right - I don't understand it. I'm not paying another 982 bucks. Or are you telling me something
different?

The scammer responded.

J. Doe   i think you need to come down to spain and see for your self, seen will convince you.i will call you.

JOHN

Now we both knew at this point that we were playing with one
another. I wrote him back.

Ya - I'd like to take a trip to Spain. I'll tell you what - send me some money via Western Union - and
then I'll buy a ticket and come to see you. Pay me two payments by splitting them up in half totaling $ 982
USD.

John, You seem like a cool guy - but is it really worth risking going to jail over - running the kind of business
you guys are operating? I would think it isn't. And you’re a smart guy. The reason I'm saying this to you is
because God still cares about you. I'm a Christian.  I'm telling you as a friend - you need to change your
direction.

I never heard from my Buddy John ever again. However I did
receive a letter from his associate.

company, if you collected your prize let me know. bye

Thanks for your inquiry,   I did collect the 715,000 USD.  However, I went directly to the Loterias y
Apuestas del Estado - (The Spanish Lottery) and they paid me directly.
