The former strong, rich and influential Brecht realm of Kiergard is now a vassal under the entity known as the Gorgon or Prince Raesene. Human resistance remains, and the people of Kiergard wish and fight for the independance that Kiergard was once renowned for. Kiergard equalled modern Müden, but is now a state under permanent martial law and ruled by a fierce Orog with a tremendously military presence backing his claim.

Kiergard fell to the Gorgon's armies over 200 years ago, but the struggle over the realm never ceased. A member of the Free League of Brechtür, Kiergard has a history of resisting outside rulership. Now that the people are enslaved or beaten down, the land itself rebels. Earthquakes are common occurrences in the past three decades. Some say the Gorgon fears to take a source holding in this land because to might corrupt the power of his other sources.
