So it was a bit of a trek to get to the river from ClayNation, the name his current batch of campers had given to their cabin in his honor.

This is not an actual quote from anyone, but a nod to the fans who call themselves ClayNation.

He had a voice that some people said sounded pure as an angel's when he sang.

On Movie Night, Gladys Knight said Clay and his voice were pure.

Clay shook his head with a smile and bit his lower lip. That had felt amazing.

After "Somewhere Out There" Randy asked Clay how that felt. And Clay said it had felt amazing.

He was effortless. He was effortless with his voice. Its golden tones warmed her.

Paula said all these things about Clay and his voice.

He leaned forward to kiss her-he couldn't help himself-but suddenly her eyes rolled up in her head and she sagged against his arm.

Not an actual quote, but a line from the song Clay sang on Motown Night, "Can't Help Myself" (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch).

"But I just love songs about mice," said Joanna, and put on a mock pouting face.

Simon said this after Clay sang "Somewhere Out There."

Clay laughed. He'd chosen to sing her a love song from a cartoon about mice, An American Tale. Well, it was a pretty song. And it showed off the range and power of his voice.

Clay said this when explaining why he chose to sing "Somewhere Out There" on Movie Night.
