Eleven_band

��Eleven is a band from Los Angeles, CA which consists of band members Alain Johannes, Natasha Shneider, and Greg Upchurch.� Alain Johannes plays the guitar and does vocals.� Natasha Shneider accompanies Johannes on vocals, plays the organ, and left-hand bass.� Greg Upchurch plays the drums and percussion.�

��Eleven originally consisted of Alain, Natasha, and former Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer Jack Irons.� Irons amicably left the group after recording seven of 11 tracks on their third album entitled Thunk. Jack Irons left the group to join Pearl Jam.� Former drummer of Soundgarden and the current drummer of Pearl Jam, Matt Cameron performed on the remaining four tracks.

��Greg Upchurch, originally from Oklahoma, met up with Alain and Natasha shortly after moving to Los Angeles and landing a job at a local music store.� Greg entered into the group after the Thunk album was finished and was officially introduced to the Eleven fanbase when he accompanied Alain and Natasha on their 1995 tour.

��Natasha was born and raised in Moscow, but traveled over to the United States where she now resides in Los Angeles, CA.� Before Alain and Natasha formed Eleven, Natasha was quite busy from filming Peter Hyams' 2010 (the sequel to 2001 A Space Odyssey), in which she played the role of Russian cosmonaut Irina Yakunina.

��Alain Johannes was born in Chile, but was relocated to and raised in Switzerland, Mexico, and California(where he now lives).�

��Alain and Natasha are long-time friends of former Soundgarden member
Chris Cornell.� They have helped create Chris' solo project Sunshower from the Great Expectations album, Ave Maria, with help from Greg on drums, from A Very Special Christmas Vol. 3, and Chris' recent album entitled
Euphoria Morning.� Euphoria Morning was recorded in Alain and Natasha's Los Angeles studio, which is known as 11AD Studios.� Alain, Natasha, and Greg along with bassist Ric Markmann are currently touring with Chris Cornell to help support his solo album.� Eleven will release their fourth album entitled AVANTGARDEDOG on April 25, 2000.�
