Friday Night Magic is a weekly tournament that is generally free and held in many comic shops and trading card shops. I went to DMN in Sungai Wang because they hold theirs on Sunday. The tournament was Standard constructed (7th, Odyssey, Torment, Judgment, Onslaught, Legions). Here's my deck (RG beatdown) (similar to the last one) (i had lent my browbeats so i had to make modifications):

4 Llanowar Elves
4 Wild Mongrel
4 Basking Rootwalla
3 Anger
4 Shock
3 Violent Eruption
3 Krosan Tusker
4 Firebolt
4 Fiery Temper
2 Grim Lavamancer
1 Naturalize

Land:
2 Wooded Foothills
14 Mountain
7 Forest

Sideboard:
3 Naturalize
2 Price of Glory
1 Boil
1 Genesis
3 Krosan Reclamation
3 Threaten
2 Caller of the Claw

First round: Iskandar (playing a blue-red deck)

He had a few firebolts, some shocks, prodigal sorcerers and disruptive pitmages. They all die to all my burn and my creatures kill him. I sideboarded the price of glories and boil (for naturalize and 2 krosan tusker), but didn't need them as it was easy in the second game too

result: 1-0 (match win-loss)/2-0 (games win-loss)

Round 2: Vincent Ng (mono black control)

this is one of the more common decks. you just have to kill the black player faster than he can corrupt you and gain life. that's what happened in both games. I'll just note my sideboarding: 1 genesis and 2 Caller of the Claw, 2 naturalize (so when he kills all my critters, i can get a bunch back) (in place of 1 wild mongrel, 1 firebolt, 1 shock, 1 fiery temper, 1 rootwalla - scared of haunting echoes). i never used the callers. He sideboarded bereavement (when a green creatures goes into graveyard from play, its controller discards a card), but when he killed me llanowar elf, i just discarded rootwalla. I think bereavement is a bad sideboard card.

result: 2-0/4-0

round 3: (didn't get his name) (playing psychatog - very common deck)

i lost the first game. i think that, as you can see in my regionals report, red green will always lose the first game against psychatog. I sideboarded in boil, 3 threaten, 2 price of glory for 3 krosan tusker (which was a mistake) and 3 anger. I lost the second game. he countered my sideboarded cards, killed my creatures. at one point he was on 5 life and i tried to threaten (gain control of target creature and it gains haste) his psychatog but he smothered it. he cast out another psychatog to win.

result: 2-1/4-2

round 4: the shop owner (reanimator)

He was playing a deck where he used buried alive to put big creatures like Akroma, Visara and Glory into the graveyard, then brought them back with Zombify or Stitch Together. He got threshold using Zombie Infestation. First turn, he did just that, getting Akroma out, and red-green decks cannot handle Akroma. If he could get that going again, he would win the next game too.

I sided in 3 Krosan Reclamation, 3 Threaten and 3 Naturalize for 3 Anger, 4 Shock and 2 Firebolt (i think. i can't remember). The next two games, i won because my krosan reclamation would always shuffle his card into his library in response to him playing zombify or stitch together. i did not side out krosan tusker because i knew i would lose if i didn't draw my krosan reclamation and i needed to leave card drawing in.

result: 3-1/6-3

I finished second and won a foil Priest of Titania.
