| Weekly Reading Homework Spelling Packets are handed out on Monday or the first class of the week. It is due, completed, by Friday of that week. Weekly tests in Reading are given the last class period of the week. Tests include spelling, grammar, and comprehension tests for the story of the week. Accelerated Reading is a requirement for every student. Your child should be reading non-fiction books on their reading level throughout the entire quarter. Their goal is to pass tests on 2 books per week or 16 books per quarter. |
| Weekly Math Homework Accelerated Math practices and tests are a requirement for every fifth grade student. These practices are automatically generated every time a student scans a completed practice. Tests are printed out by the teacher on a regular basis depending upon the number of objectives the student is ready to be tested on. Each student needs to master 25 objectives per quarter. Progress can be checked by looking at the TOPS printout received for completed practices and tests. |
