My name is Sonia, and I am in Massachusetts. I want to learn Aromatherapy because I can increase my knowledge, and create more client specific products to sell for my business.
Beth M. I live near Flint, Michigan
. I work as a secretary during the day, Mom 24/7, and entreprenuer in between. I believe in aromatherapy, because it works and because it comes from God, the Creator of all things, He equipped us with everything we need, it is just a matter of us utilizing it, and all the chemical and sythetic inredients that saturate every last product you can buy are unhealthy at best and downright dangerous to deadly at best. Products are driven by greed so our health is not priority when corporations design and market to us, whatever gives them a desireable product in taste, texture, scent, long shelf life is what they will use, whatever is really cheap to buy and can be sold at tremendous markups is what they are looking for, not quality, not safety. I could rant and rave more, but I think you get the point. It is real, and natural and works and was made just for us, not created for profit with no regards to harm.
What I want to take away from this class is a good understanding of blending including needs for preservatives - when, & how much? Some knowledge on other ingredients to add to recipes for a good consistency (thickeners, waxes, emulsifiers)? When many oils have the same property (i.e. analgesic) how to choose the best one? So much more but can't think of it all right now.
Hello, everyone!
My name is Melissa and am from London, Ontario, Canada. I am a stay at home mom that has an interest in many things. I enjoy using the few essential oils that I have but would like to know more about contra indications and the use of essential oils in soaps, as I make my own. My family, friends and myself have used essential oils for the last few years and have seen amazing results. For example, when my son had chicken pox I used Lavender and Dill on him and he had no scarring at all. I look forward to learning as much as I can from this class.
My name is Sheryl and I live in Salem, Ohio. I'm a holistic practitioner, and will also be starting classes to work toward my state license in massage therapy. I feel that a better understanding of aromatherapy will enable me to incorporate this important modality into my own practice.
My name is Karen Coffman and I live near Lafayette, Indiana. I am interested in learning more about aromatherpy because I have always had an interest in alternative therapies. I've used herbs and teas and take a lot of natural supplements but reading about some of the things essential oils could do seemed a little too magical to me until I happented to try a blend as a last resort to overcome grief. After about 3 weeks of use I realized it was working and I was hooked! Now I want to know more.
My name is Suzanne, but all my friends and family call me Suz, so feel free to call me that also. I am from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada lived here for 12 years now. Born and raised in Canada and never have crossed the border, would love to someday. Im learning aromatherapy for personal reasons, but also to learn how to relax and to maybe do some healing without the medicine of today. Maybe get back to the basics since man isnt doing such a good job right yet so far as ive seen. So hoping to see ya all and talk to ya soon. Suz
Hello, my name is Darlene and I currently reside in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. I am a corporate travel agent, which can get very stressful. I suffer from severe tension headaches and a friend thought aromatherapy might help. She gave me a gift set with some oils and a diffuser. I have found some relief, but I want to learn more about the oils and their uses.
Greetings from the north coast! I am Kathy and I live in Northern central Ohio, about an hour west of Cleveland and an hour east of Toledo. I am so excited about this class. Since I live in a rural area I can only read books and connect on the internet about this interesting subject. I work in a nursing home and I hope to learn how to disinfect (to prevent the flu) and calm (destress employees and reassure residents) in a natural way that won't cause a problem with breathing or hurting anyone with chemicals.
Carol Texas. I am a nurse and believe in a holistic approach to nursing. I will be attending Massage Therapy school this fall and want to incorporate aromatherapy into my practice.
