Snippet Page Four
Snippet 34:
Written by Master Maverick.
Obi-Wan and Slade meet Finn and Nifan, a pair of twins, and the four become fast friends, until something goes awry in their game.  Obi-Wan is reminded of a past event, and Qui-Gon finally realizes he must have a heart-to-heart with his Padawan in order to help the boy begin to heal.
Snippet 35:
Written by Padawan Providence.
One of our favs.  A bedtime story provides much amusement for Obi-Wan, and Qui-Gon realizes the importance of carpet for his accident-prone Padawan.  Something along the lines of "The Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day."
Snippet 36:
Written by Master Maverick.
When Qui-Gon is asked to participate in a Choosing day at the Temple, he has an encounter with a young 12-year-old boy named Kerge.  As he spars with Kerge, he makes a startling discovery that could end painfully for him.  (This could possibly be looked at as JA #1 revisited in some ways, but I like the incidents and consequences of our storyline much better that the JA books.  Of course, I'm biased.)
Snippet 37:
Written by Padawan Providence.
You're dying to know what happens to Kerge?  Us too.  One of Qui-Gon's friends comes to visit with enlightening news, and a boy's future is decided.  Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon have a bonding moment, and Qui-Gon gets to dispense advice for once.
Snippet 38:
Written by Master Maverick.
Rated PG for one bad word.  When someone close to Qui-Gon falls mysteriously ill, he is forced by the Council to do the thing he likes to do least:  wait.  Obi-Wan's prescient dreams reveal dire events, and Qui-Gon tries not to fear the worst.  Part 1 of the Deceptions and Revelations Arc.
Snippet 39:
Written by Padawan Providence.
Rated PG, they're swearing again.  The still untitled arc continues as things go from bad to worse.  Qui-Gon tries to deal with daily life as his former master's life hangs uncertainly in the balance, Obi-Wan tries to understand the gifts he's been given in the Force and Bel-San tries to hold everything together.  Warning: Things are not necessarily what they seem, don't make assumptions.
Snippet 40:
Written by Master Maverick.
Rated PG, even though swear a Jedi should not.  The mystery surrounding Yoda's illness continues.  Qui-Gon must face the reality of loss while trying to support his frightened Padawan, whose visions reveal what may soon be.  The line between dreams and nightmares grows thinner, and Obi-Wan may prove to be the key to discovering Yoda's attacker.  Part 3 of the Deceptions and Revelations Arc.
Snippet 41:
Written by Padawan Providence.
Questions into Yoda's illness continue as Qui-Gon takes a much needed break.  Obi-Wan confides in a friend and a plan is put into action.  A Republic newsfeed provides some answers, as well as more questions.  Part 4 in the Deceptions and Revelations Arc.
Snippet 42:
Written by Master Maverick.
Obi-Wan begins his vigil, with the help of a few friends, but staying up all night makes for a tired Padawan.  Qui-Gon comes to some conclusions, and decides it's time to seek reconciliation with Mace.  As they speak, Qui-Gon receives a major realization.  When Obi-Wan discovers his Master's plans to get involved with the radicals, he makes some plans of his own.  Part 5 in the Deceptions and Revelations Arc.
Snippet 43:
Written by Padawan Providence.
The mission begins.  Payter tries to make his own place on the trip while Qui-Gon struggles with some more personal issues.  Once again all is not as it seems and nothing is ever as clear cut for the boys as it should be.  Part 6 in the Deceptions and Revelations Arc.
