Links You May Want To Use In Your Classroom!
Here are some links to sites that you might consider using in your classroom! (Many of these sites also contain lesson plans for teachers!)I would encourage teachers to visit these sites first before allowing students to visit. I encourage this so that you can form your own opinion of the sites. You be the "judge" and decide whether your students could benefit from these sites! : )
ARTS / CRAFTS FOR KIDS You will find many arts and crafts ideas on this site!
SURFING THE NET WITH KIDS This site includes internet safety tips for teachers and parents, games, arts and crafts, music, computer technology, etc. (NOTE: There is a "monitored" chatroom on this site. I do not endorse any chatrooms. However, I do feel that there is a lot of great information on this site.) Check it out! : )
THE RAINFOREST WORKSHOP This site contains educational resources to help teachers and students learn about the Rainforest! YES Mag: CANADA'S SCIENCE MAGAZINE FOR KIDS This is a really great site! Some highlights are children in Science and projects to do at home, etc! AES BUG CLUG HOME PAGE This page promotes insects and other "creepy crawlers" to children!! I like the "bug site" on this page! Students can click on the "bug site" where they will find a fun quiz to identify insects!
GRANDMA GEORGE'S PAGE This is an exceptional site! It is a great place for almost anything!! Great links, fantastic award winning seasonal and thematic graphics to download (teachers can use the great graphics to make cool certificates, etc!), an excellent list of links for children's sites, etc. This is a must see site! : )
