Book I: Water

Bell (reprise) from Disneys
Beauty and the Beast.
Heh, at first I was thinking of using this for Katara wanting to get out of the South Pole to find a bending master to teach her, but then I listened to it again, and its totally Gran Gran/Kana running out on Pakku to go to the South Pole XD

Baby Mine from Disneys
Dumbo.
Because Zuko is such a cute little mamas boy ^w^ My version has the random animal sounds in it from the movie, but instead of taking away from the song, it just makes me think of the turtle-ducks XD

Ordinary by Train.
Zuko thinking about how much his life sucks, starts around the time/shortly after he was banished but also encompasses the time during the show. Also has hints of Zutara, if you know where to look ;)

          Whose eyes am I behind?
I dont recognize anything that I see
          Whose skin is this design?
I dont want this to be the way that you see me

          I dont understand anything anymore
And this world that Im tired of
Is taking me right up these walls
          That I climb up
          To get to your story
          Its anything but ordinary

Chorus:
And when the world is on its knees with me its fine
And when I come to the rescue I get nothing but left behind
Everybody seems to be getting what they need; where's mine?
Cause youre what I need so very but Im anything but ordinary

Can you save me from this world of mine
Before I get myself arrested with this expectation?
You are the one, look what youve done
          What have you done?
This is not some kind of joke
          Youre just a kid
You werent ready for what you did

Chorus:
And when the world is on its knees with me its fine
And when I come to the rescue I do it for you time after time
Everybody seems to be getting what they need; where's mine?
Cause youre what I need so very but Im anything but ordinary

I think Im trying to save the world for you
          Youve been saving me too
We could just stay in and save each other

          Im anything but ordinary
          Im anything but ordinary

Son of Man from Disneys
Tarzan, by Phil Collins.
Iroh watching Zuko struggle to find some meaning in his life and hoping that someday, hell become a good man on his own, without needing validation from the father who cast him out.

Oh, the power to be strong,
And the wisdom to be wise,
All these things will comes to you in time.

On this journey that youre making
Therell be answers that you seek.
And its you wholl climb the mountain,
Its you wholl reach the peak.

          Chorus:
Son of man, look to the sky,
Lift your spirit, set it free.
Someday youll walk tall with pride.
Son of man, a man in time youll be.

Oh theres no one there to guide you,
No one to take your hand,
          But with faith and understanding
You will journey from boy to man.

          Chorus:
Son of man, look to the sky,
Lift your spirit, set it free.
Someday youll walk tall with pride.
Son of man, a man in time youll be.

          In learning you will teach,
And in teaching you will learn.
Youll find your place beside the ones you love.
Oh, and all the things you dreamed of,
          The visions that you saw,
Well, the time is drawing near now
Its yours to claim it all

          Chorus:
Son of man, look to the sky,
Lift your spirit, set it free.
Someday youll walk tall with pride.
Son of man, a man in time youll be.

Son of man, son of man,
A man for all to see

By Myself by Linkin Park.
Zuko's theme song, set squarely in the first season, as it's less confused and despairing than the earlier one and more just angry, like he is. ;P

Change the World by V6, from
Inuyasha.
Its in Japanese, but the general gist of the song is wanting to go out and make a difference in the world, make things right. Makes me think of the Gaang towards the beginning, when they first grasp that Aang is the Avatar and its up to them to end the war.

Playing with the Big Boys from Dreamworks'
The Prince of Egypt.
Zuko and Zhao dueling Zhaos telling Zuko hes not in the cushy royal palace anymore

Freedom Fighter by Creed.
The one, the only Jet!

Ill Make a Man Out of You from Disneys
Mulan.
Training with Master Pakku at the North Pole. It doesn't work with the rhythm of the lyrics, but Huns = Fire Nation. But I'm sure you knew that ;P
