Usagi Hey Minna!! Here it is, the long awaited chapter four of Serenity and Endymion: Silver Love. I bet you guys have been on the edge of your seats waiting for this huh. J/K. Anyway's, thanks again to all those who are writing me, I really do appreciate it. I don't own Sailor Moon. Duh, that's obvious, if I did, I wouldn't be so low on cash right now. <=0) Anyway's, on with the story. ************************************************************************ Serenity and Endymion: Silver Love-Part 4 "Bunny, will you hold still, this wouldn't be taking so long if you would." Usagi was seated at her vanity table getting her hair done. She was on Avolon, and tonight was the grand ball, where all the kingdoms gathered to celebrate the success of their patrons. Tonight she would see Endymion of the first time in two years. Hold still, was she kidding. "How can I hold still, when I'll finally see him again Molly?" Usagi squealed, once again squirming in her seat. Molly Usagi's personal friend and good friend grumbled as she had to start over once more on the bun she had been twisting. "If you don't hold still, you won't be there at all. I can't do your hair when your squirmin' about so much. Now hold still." Usagi stopped her squirming, and contented herself to watch Molly do her hair by looking at her reflection in the mirror. "You know I can do that," Usagi murmured after a moment of silence. Molly rolled her eyes, but a grin covered her lips. "I know you can princess, but what will that give me to do. I'm your maid rememeber." Usagi nodded. "I know, but I feel funny some how, letting some one do a job for me that I can do on my own." Molly laid a hand on Usagi's shoulder, smiling at her kindly. "I don't mind. It's my job. It puts food on the table, and gives me something to do. I don't mind at all." "That's because you have me for you to serve on. If I was like that old Mr. Crotchet you worked for before, you would be singing a different tune," Usagi teased. "Oh he was a mean one he was," Molly muttered. "But your mother took care of him quick as a whistle. Now he is getting a dose of his own medicine by working in the palace. He has the job of cleaning out the stables and tending to the animals. Quite a foul job isn't it." The two girls laughed at the joke, and Molly finished Usagi's hair. "There now, done with that. Now let's get that dress on, and then we'll do the rest." Usagi stood, and Molly went over and picked up the dress laid out on the bed so as not to get wrinkled. "It's beautiful Bunny. You chose the dress wisely. You'll look gorgeous in it." "Molly, I'm only twelve. Your making it sound like I'm sixteen or something," Usagi scolded teasingly. Molly nodded. "Well you are almost thirteen, and his highness Prince Endymion will be turning sixteen in a fortnight. I've heard he's getting even more handsome as the day's go by. He will be a heartbreaker when he gets older." Molly signaled for Usagi to raise her arms so she could put the dress arm, and as the dress sild down her body, Usagi commented about Molly's remark. "He wouldn't do that Molly. He's to kind. He'd never intentionally hurt anybody," She said. "That's true Bunny, but he just has to walk by a girl for her heart to break. One look at him, and she'll break into tears at the idea that he may be hers one day, and when he kindly tells her that she just isn't the one for him, she will break down even more. Then in a fit of tears she will storm out into the gardens and there she will lay. Then she will die of a broken heart, and many will wonder what could have happened to such a gentle lady." Usagi broke down into a fit of giggles. "What a romantic you are Molly," she gasped between giggles. Molly nodded, and then gasped when she saw the dress on Usagi. It was a pearl white ensemble, with a tight bodice. Pearls accented the top of the dress above the bodice and around her waist, with the material tight between. The skirt flowed about her feet in a array of shimmering material. On both wrists were pearl bracclets, with pearl earings, and pearl barrettes on either side of her head pinned near her buns. Her silver hair which was nearly to her feet seemed to glow and shimmer with the dress, her eyes a somewhat deeper blue that sparkled like diamonds. "My princess, you look stunning. Your going to knock the gentleman off their feet tonight," Molly murmured in awe. Usagi blushed at the comment, and dusted off imaginary particles on the bodice to hide it. "Oh hush silly. I'm not old enough for that kind of stuff yet. It's to frightening still," Usagi said. "When you find the right one miss, it no longer becomes frightening. All you can think about is him, and how safe you feel in his arms, and how you two seem like one," Molly said, staring into space dreamily. "You seem to know about this kind of thing Molly," Usagi teased. Molly blushed this time and cleared her throat nervously. "Yes...well.....I have had some experience." Usagi burst into laughter. "Your not much older than me Molly. Who's the guy?" Molly blushed even more. "It's no body.....Just some man," she stuttered. Usagi grinned. "Uh-huh. Who is it? Do I know him?" Molly shook her head, her face flushed. "Never mind that, we have to finish getting you ready. The others will be here any minute now." Usagi could see Molly was avoiding the subject, but decided to let it rest for now. "Okay," she said. "But this isn't over." Molly nodded, still flustered, and signaled for Usagi to sit down. Once seated, Molly began to weave white roses into her hair. "You'll look so beautiful and grown-up the men will be tripping on their feet just to dance with you." Usagi shook her head softly so as not to disturb Molly's work. "Oh pish-posh. They'll hardly even notice with so many more grown-up and more beautiful girls there." "Trust me Bunny, you'll out shine them all," Molly assured her. Usagi just shrugged and let Molly finish. Once done, Molly stepped back. "Now one last thing. What was it you said that you were going to have so that Prince Endymion would recognize you?" Usagi placed her hand on a star locket nestled gently among her articles of jewelry. "This," she whisperd. "It was made by him with magic. It's our locket. I'll be wearing this tonight, and he'll be wearing my locket I gave him. The one I told you about in the shape of a heart with a moon in the middle. That's how we'll recognize one another." "He'll be easy to spot, just look for the flocks of girls, and you'll find him in the middle, looking for a way out," Molly chuckled. "Will he rocognize me?" Usagi asked out of sudden worry. Over the years contact had lessend between them, due to the fact that they had become more busy. They'd talked in the morning's and at night's but that had been it. She remembered teasing him about his voice going from high to low as he passed puberty. He'd laughed along with her, threatening to get her back somehow. They'd stayed close, but now she was worried that it would some how be different now that they were in the same room together and seeing one another. "What if it isn't the same?" Molly place a reassuring arm around Usagi. "Don't worry Bunny. If he's anything like you've told me, then you have nothing to worry about." Usagi nodded, but her eyes still mirrored doubt. "I guess I'll have to see." There was a soft knock at the door, and Usagi called a enter. Minnako entered with a large grin, followed by Makoto, then Rei, and then Ami. Minnako was dressed in a beautiful dress done in different shades of oranges. The bodice was tight to about the waist. Beneath the bodice, yellow-orange beads wrapped around the the waist and around the back. The skirt was layered, with the first layer going in a 'A' shape down the front and around the back. The first layer, along with the top of the bodice and sleeves, was a red-orange color, with the second layer of the skirt, a light orange. Her sleeves puffed at the shoulders and than hugged her arms down to the wrists. Her hair was pulled up in a customary style bun with wisps of hair about her face and neck. Her hair was held by pearl pins, with pearls in her ears. Makoto was dressed in a dress similar to Minnako's except it was green, and had short puffed sleeves. Her hair was down from it's normal pony tail, with the sides pulled up into a small bun with the rest of her hair flowing in waves about her shoulders. Her bodice was in a deep 'V', with a Jade pendant about her neck. Jade earings and hair pins finished the ensemble. Rei was dressed similar to Usagi, except her dress was a deep purple, and had two layers on her skirt one layer atop the other. Her sleeves were puffed and short and hugged just her shoulders leaving the rest of her arms bare, which at the moment were covered by gloves. She wore rose earings, and left her hair to flow down her back. Ami was dressed in a blue dress with a tight square bodice, with pearls about the top and bottom of the bodice, and a strange pattern of flowers between. The skirt was array of silk, that shimmered as she moved changing colors from light blue to blue to dark blue. She wore small white gloves about her wrist with a victorian like pearl choker about her neck, and pearl earings. Usagi smiled at them all, winking as well. "You all look beautiful," she said. Ami blushed, Minnako and Makoto smiled, and Rei smirked. "Yeah we know we do," Rei said smoothing the skirt of her dress. "My we're humble aren't we?" Usagi teaseed walking over to them. "No she'd not," Makoto answered for her. "But we are going to be late if we don't hurry." "Ooh....I can't wait," Minnako squealed. "Isn't it exciting. A whole night of dancing and romancing with just us and the whole room full of eligible guys." "We're not going to be the only ones there Minna," Ami stated. "There are so far on record twenty-thousand applicants along with their families and all those who were invited." "Talk about crowded," Rei muttered. "We're going to be squished." Usagi laughed. "Don't worry, from what I've heard they've got a ballroom big enough for sixty-thousand, plus a large garden made especially for dancing and dining. It'll be okay." 'I just hope I can find Endymion,' she worried silently. "Then what are we waiting for," Rei said impatiently. "Let's go." The girls all cheered agreement, and together headed out the door. The ballroom was all they had heard about and more. Large columns surrounded the whole area with large crystal clear windows between. Large crystaline chandiler's decorated the ceiling's, with painting's of angels and clouds on the celings. The room was situated in two levels, the lower level was where all the dancing was done, and the upper levels had the entrance as well as the dining hall and other halls where students were allowed to show what they had learned and to prove they had earned their merrits to the ones that had sent them. The room was filled with soft waltzing music with the orchestra situated in the middle of the room against one wall. To finish of the ensemble gold candlesticks were situated about the room upon the wall, with decorations of every kind of flower known, giving the room a fall summer feel to it. (For those of you who aren't able to picture the scene, just think about the ballroom in Disney's Beauty and the Beast only make in larger) <=0) The five girls caught their breath at the elegant room staring about them in awe. "It's beautiful," Usagi gasped. "I've never been to any place like this," Ami murmured, just as shocked at seeing the real thing. "It's nothing like what I thought it would be." The others nodded, still staring about them. Soon Rei in her normal impatient nature spoke up. "Well, are we going to stand here all night and look about us in awe, or are we going to join the party?" She asked irritably. The other girls nodded, smiling broadly. "Let's go," Makoto crowed. The girls headed down the stairs in excitement, only Usagi stayed behind. She scanned the hordes of people anxiously looking for something familiar to lead her to Endymion. Finally unable to spot him in the crowd, Usagi reached out with her mind. Closing her eyes, Usagi began to search. 'Endy,' she called out. 'Are you here?' Unaware to her, the crowd had spotted her and they stared in awe at her beauty, conversation stopping little by little. Endymion was at the far end of the room talking to his guards and some friends he'd made at Avolon, but at the same time hiding. He'd been bugged by girls all night vying for his attention and wanting to dance. He wished to stay hidden, he wasn't going to come out until a certain person he was waiting for showed up. He was dressed in full armor, required for one of his rank and statis, and so he wore Usagi's charm about his neck hidden by the armor. He watched the crowd of people entering in the corner of his, since his back was to the entrance, and continued to talk. "So anyway's, I said to her, I'm not that kind of guy, and if she was looking for something like that to go look for some other sucker." Jedite was talking about another experince with the raids of girls he'd claimed to have met, and the others listend with half an ear. "So then she gets all teary eyed, and said I'm not looking for that kind of thing, I just want to be friends. Like I was going to.....WoW!!!! Look at what just walked in." The others who were anxious at the change of subject, looked to where Jedite was pointing and they all smiled like wolves staring at a lost sheep ready for the picking. Endymion rolled his eyes at their over-active hormones, and instead began to scan the crowd before him. "Wow," Neflite said in awe. "I've never seen girls that gorgeous, check out the one in green. She's beautiful. I wonder if she'll dance with me." "I think the one in purple's more pretty. Check out that hair. And that figure.....and those eyes. Wow, she's perfect," Jedite murmured awed as well. Endymion dropped his head in boredom, and stared into his glass of punch, finding it suddenly very interesting. He groaned silently when the others spoke up. These guys, and girls, one would think that was all they thought about or noticed. "No, the one in orange has definantely got to be more beautiful. Check out that hair," Malachite argued. "Wrong it's the green," Neflite argued back. "Nope your all wrong, it's the one in purple," Jedite said. "Actually, I kind of like the one in blue," Zoicite said shyly. "WHAT!!???" The other three asked together. Endymion rolled his eyes. Suddenly all conversation was lost when a voice reached to him through psyhic link. 'Endy? Are you here?' Endymion looked up sharply, the others ingnored him as they argued over who was more beautiful between the girls they had just spotted. 'Bunny?' Endymion asked uncertaintly. 'Is that you?' 'Who else would it be?' Usagi answered a slight teasing in her voice. 'Your girlfriend perhaps?' Endymion smiled. 'Yeah right. I don't have one.....Where are you?' 'Ummm.....I'm at the entrance,' Usagi said. Meanwhile the others were still talking about the girls they had spotted. "Look, their coming down the stairs. Let's go ask them to dance," Jedite said, beginning to walk off. "Hey look," Neflite said. "That silver haired girl is still standing there. What's she doing?" The others looked up except for Endymion who was talking to Usagi. "I don't know, it looks like she's got her eyes closed," Neflite murmured. 'Where at the entrance?' Endymion asked, still ignoring the others. 'I'll come find you.' 'Ummm.....at the very entrance, at the top of the stairs.' Suddenly Usagi gasped in fear. 'What's the matter?' Endymion asked worriedly. 'What's wrong?' 'Endy, everyone is staring at me. Help me.....I don't know what to do.' "Hey Endy," Neflite said tapping him on the shoulder. "Look at this. You have got to see this girl. She's gorgeous." "Not now," Endy snapped. 'Bunny, I'm coming.' Endy turned around, then stopped dead, his eyes at the top of the stairs. A young girl stood at the top of the stairs, she was dressed in pearl white her hair pulled up into buns with hair falling from each. She was beautiful with wide crystal blue eyes, soft rosy cheeks, and pink lips. Her complexion was white and creamy, but pale. She stared at the audience, unsure why they were staring at her, and unsure what to do. Endymion recognized her instantly. "It's Bunny," he said, beginning to head towards the stairs. Just when he was a few feet away four girls dressed in orange, purple, blue and green beat him up the stairs surrounding Usagi first. "Bunny, are you alright?" Minnako asked worriedly. Usagi swallowed and shook her head. "I was never a crowd person. Attention makes me nervous. Why are they all staring at me?" "Because your a knock out," Makoto said. "You out shine all of them here." Usagi swallowed and turned towards the door. "I have to leave. I can't do this." "You're not leaving Bunny," A deep voice stated behind them. Five girls gasped and faced a tall young man with dark hair and killer blue eyes. He was dressed in armor with a black and red cape behind him. His armor was silver with tight black pants, and boots. A sword was strapped to his side. The girls stared at him open mouthed, unable to comment or move. Usagi pushed past them a happy smile on her face. "Endy!" She cried running up to him and throwing her arms around him. "It's so good to see you again." Endymion hugged her tightly, having missed her warmth and happy to have her near again. "Bunny. Is it really you?" Endymion pushed her gently away to look her up and down. "You've grown up since I last saw you. Your beautiful." Usagi blushed. "You've grown quite handsome. Oh Endy, I'm so happy to see you again. I've missed you terribly." "I have missed you to," Endymion whispered, huggin her once more. Below them, the crowd began to whisper wondering among themselves who she was, and why was the prince of Earth hugging her. The four Guards to the prince smiled, finally knowing who the young girl was and happy such close friends were reunited. Suddenly Jedite got an idea. "Hey, those girls know Bunny, and Endymion knows Bunny, maybe he can introduce us to them," He said slyly. The others grinned at the idea, and headed toward's the stairs. At the top of the stairs, Endymion and Usagi were still hugging, having a hard time they were reunited and so close once more. "I'm afraid if I let go, your going to disapear Endy," Usagi whispered. "It's been two years, and it's hard to believe I'm actually seeing my best friend again, in person and hugging them. Tell me I'm not dreaming." "Silly little rabbit," Endymion scolded gently. "It's not a dream. Your here, I'm here. Let's make the most of it, and enjoy ourselves." They drew away from one another hesitantly, and together they headed down the stairs. Endymion had Usagi's arms strewn through his, and the four girls followed mutely behind. The crowd parted for the whispering amongst themselves. Endymion smiled and communicated via their link. 'You've created quite a stir. A beautiful silver-haired angel enters the room, and attracts that attention of the Crown Prince. It'll be the hottest gossip every where.' Usagi frowned. 'It won't cause trouble for you will it Endy?' Endymion smiled. 'Nothing I can't handle. And look here comes Malachite, Neflite, Jedite and Zoicite. They had their eyes on your friends, watch they'll be beggin you to introduce them.' Usagi giggled softly at the puppy eyed look the Generals were giving her guards and knew she was going to have fun with this. 'Of course I shall introduce them. How could I not?' They chuckled, and then smiled when the guards were upon them. "Ah, you guys finally joined us," Endy said. "You guys remember Bunny don't you?" They all nodded, and grinned. "Who could forget her," Neflite said grabbing her in a giant hug. "It's good to see you again Bunny." "Hi Neflite....Malachite, Jedite, Zoicite," Usagi greeted. "May I introduce you to my Guards. This is Minnako my first in command, this Makoto the second in command, Rei the third in command, and Ami my fourth. Girls this is Malachite, Neflite, Jedite and Zoicite." They all bowed and curtsied to one another and Usagi rolled her eyes. "While you eight are getting to know one another, me and Endy are going for a walk." The eight smiled shyly at one another and blushed, beginning to slowly converse as Usagi and Endymion headed into the gardens. "So how are things back home?" Endy asked once they were outside. "Their good. Your parents are excited to see you again. They'll be coming along later in the evening. They didn't want to get caught up in the crowds." Endymion nodded. "I can understand. You still have a hard time with crowds don't you." It wasn't a question. Usagi nodded grimly, her eyes clouded. "I don't know what happens. I just saw all those people staring at me, and I froze. I just didn't understand what they were staring at, and it made me nervous." Usagi stoppped and faced Endymion sharply. "Did I look bad?" Endymion smiled. "You looked just like a princess who wasn't sure how to conduct herself." He tipped a finger under her chin, bringing her eyes up to his. "Don't worry. Most likely they didn't notice you just standing there, because they were too caught up in this beauty that had just entered the room. The men were oggled, and the women were jealous that they couldn't look like you. They probably didn't even pay attention to the fact that you were standing at the top of the stairs in sheer terror." Usagi lowered her eyes at the compliment at being beautiful, and blushed at his words. "They weren't all staring at me Endy," She whispered. "Oh yes they were Bunny. There wasn't one eye that wasn't turned in your direction." Usagi shook her head again, but looked up at him smiling. "Your to kind Endy. I'm happy to have a friend like you." Endymion gazed at her intently. She had grown up a lot since the last time he'd seen her which had been two years ago. Gone was the clumsy, akward girl and in her place was a beautiful young lady growing into adulthood. "What happened to my little Bunny?" He whispered teasingly and yet seriously. She was growing up, and so was he, and yet his feelings for her were still the same, except they were changing, but he didn't know how they were changing or what was happening. Usagi's eyes widened worriedly. "She's still here Endy. She just began to grow. Just like you. You've become quite handsome.....in fact very handsome. I wonder why no one hasn't picked you up yet?" She asked the last part more to herself, but Endymion heard any way's. "No one has caught my interest yet. They go more for the romantic part of everything, or try to have me be something I'm not, or they pretend I'm something I'm not. I'm me, and just because I'm not perfect, who I am is who I am. I can't or won't change that for anyone." Usagi smiled. "I like you the way your are, tease and all." Endymion smiled, and began to walk again, Usagi still attached to his arm. "How's our secret place?" he asked. Usagi's smile brightened happily, and Endymion couldn't help noticing how she looked even more beautiful with her smile. "Oh Endy, it's beautiful. Everything has grown so much since you left. There are flowers everywhere you walk, the pond is more crystal clear than it was before. It's beautiful." Through her eyes, Endymion was able to see the glade, and he had to admit that it had grown more beautiful. He pictured Usagi running among the flowers happily laughing and dancing, and the scene became more beautiful. "Endy, stop that," Usagi said seriously. "Stop what?" Endy asked confused. "Don't do what everyone else does. They just see the outside of me, and forget what's on the inside. Don't do the same thing. This is me, not some empty shell of a beautiful something." Endymion stoppped. "I could never forget you. What's inside of you makes you even more beautiful outside. Your kind heart, fun-loving spirit, your spirit. It all makes you who you are. I could never forget that. I like you just the way you are inside and out." Usagi nodded, her eyes serious. "Don't ever forget who I am or who you are. Don't let some one take that away. Your beautiful inside as well, and don't chose anyone who tries to change that or can't see it. They must love you for you." "When did you become so serious?" Endymion teased. Usagi blushed. "I don't know. I'm not alway's serious," she mumbled indignantly. Endymion laughed, hugging her briefly. Her body felt so fragile against his, but he knew that she was powerful, and her appearance didn't give credit to the strength inside of her. Endymion smiled down on her. "Don't I know it. So, since I've been gone, who have you been racing to Breakfast?" Usagi groaned. "Absolutely no one. It's no fun going to breakfast any more." Endymion laughed. "Well, maybe tomorrow I can race to breakfast here. It would cause quite a stir." "And let you loose all the confidence you've gained with all the teachers here," Usagi yelped. "Absolutely not......Besides, you'd just loose." Endymion scrunched his brow, trying to look threatening. "OH yeah?" He asked with a slight gruffness in his voice which caused Usagi to laugh. "Yeah," Usagi gasped between giggles. Endymion began to slink toward's her, looking and playing the part of the evil villion. Usagi just laughed harder, and backed away. "Just for that m'lady," he growled. "You must pay that consequences. Your about to be tickled." Usagi widened her eyes in mock horror, still laughing. "Oh no," she cried. "What ever shall I do. Oh help.....some one help me." Usagi continued to laugh and back up, watching Endymion intently. He gave a sudden leep, and Usagi moved out of the way in the nick of time. He turned sharply, still growling and laughing evily. Usagi laughed even harder, dodging his every move. It went on like this for a few minutes, Endymion pouncing and Usagi dodging. Finally Endymion had enough, and mock pounced at her causing her to leep aside, where he jumped at her and grabbed her. Usagi squealed in suprise laughing and trying to break free. "Now little princess," Endymion murmured in her ear. "You must pay for teasing the monster." With that he began to tickle Usagi, and she began to laugh. He tickled her even more and she laughed harder. "Endy.....Stop.....I yeild," she cried gasping. Endy stopped tickling her but held her tight, gazing into her eyes deeply. "Do you take back what you said?" he asked threateningly. Usagi shook her head. "I could still beat you," She argued. "Humph," Endymion snorted. "We shall see." He continued to hold Usagi, and just stared at her. Usagi's face was flushed from dodging him, a bright, happy smile on her lips. Her eyes sparkled with unkown joy and secrets, her chest heaving with each breath she took. She had become so beautiful, and Endymion was having a hard time putting her down. He liked holding her, she felt so right in his arms. The more he thought about it, the more he realized that he couldn't picture anybody else he'd rather have nestled in his arms than Usagi. "Sometimes I feel the same way," Usagi whispered, pulling him from his thoughts. Endymion's eyes focused on her face, and gazed into her eyes. "What way?" He asked softly. "That I can't picture any one else holding me. I can't picture any body else holding me in their arms. I only see you and feel you." she explained. "Endy, what's happening to us? We're still friends right?" Endymion nodded. "You'll alway's be my friend, but it's becoming something more, something deeper." Usagi stared at him worriedly. "Is that bad?" Endymion shook his head. "I don't know. I mean your still my friend, and my somewhat sister, but those emotions of love are becoming something more, something deeper." "Endy, I'm a little afraid. I dont' want this to tear us apart." Usagi whispered. Endymion nodded. "I don't think it will, but maybe we should try to get to know other people and see if we can't develop the same kinds of emotions for them." Usagi nodded. "I'll try, but I doubt I'll be able to." Endymion released Usagi, and she stepped back. Suddenly her eyes lite up with memory, and she pulled something from the bodice of her dress. It was the star locket. "We forgot about these. It seems we didn't need them to find one another," she said softly, removing the locket from about her neck. Endymion brushed a hand against the charm still under his armour. "How foolish we were to forget we would have our links to find one another. But it was still nice to have this. It helped me to remember that you were there and alive and that I had someone to come home to." "I'll always be there for you Endy, no matter what," Usagi said, placing the locket about his neck. Endymion cupped the locket in his hand, opening the top to hear the melody within. They listened to the calming music for a moment in silence, and then Endymion shut the lid. He removed the locket from about his neck, and gave it back to Usagi. At her questioning gaze, he smiled. "I want you to keep it until I come home," he explained. "That way I'll know it's safe." Usagi nodded. "Then keep my charm. I don't need it now." Endymion's face grew sullen. "Usagi....have you remembered where you came from? Have you rememered anything?" He knew it was only fair for her to know where she came from, but a part of him was afraid to lose her to someone neither of them knew. Usagi shook her head. "No....I haven't remembered anything, but there have been things that sound familiar to me or seem familiar." Endymion raised a brow. "Like what?" Usagi shrugged her shoulders, walking over to near by bench and sat down. "Not much really," she said sadly. "Just things people say. You remember those Sailor Scouts?" Not letting him answer she continued. "Well something about them seemed familiar, but I couldn't remember what.....Also the mention of life on the Moon, that too seemed familiar like I was a part of that or something......then there was the mention of the Queen of the Moon. Queen Serenity......there's something familiar about that name. Sometimes when I think really hard, I can almost see a face to the name, but just as I'm about to grasp it, it fliters out of reach, and I can't seem to get it back. Everytime something sounds familiar or someone looks familiar or anything, the memory is lost as soon as it is found, almost as if I wasn't supposed to remember." Usagi hugged herself in sudden chill, looking at Endymion in worry. "Endy, something's happening to me." Endymion walked over to her quickly and kneeled down in front of the bench, eyeing her intently. "I've felt something different in you Usagi. What's happened? Tell me, maybe I can help." Usagi thought for a moment. "Well....sometimes when I sleep I dream about a place.....a palace.....different from ours. It's covered in fog, and so I can't hardly see it. It's familiar....there are voices calling to me, voices that seem familiar, and yet not. I see figures, but no faces or features, just shadows." Usagi grew silent for a moment, and then taking a deep breath continued. "The other day I was in the glade, and I fell asleep. I had the same dream, and when I awoke, I was staring down into the water, thinking and I noticed something......something that frightened me, and yet excited me for some reason." Usagi scrunched her brow in concentration, her arms tightly about herself. "What did you see Bunny?" Endymion asked softly, not wanting to interupt her thoughts or rush her. "There on my forehead was a sign.....right in the middle of my forhead," Usagi murmured. "What was it?" Endymion questioned. "It was a.....a crescent moon," Usagi said, looking up at him. "A Crescent Moon?" Endymion asked in disbelief. Usagi nodded. "It gets even more strange." She took another deep breath. "A few days ago, when I was training with my guards, something happened. We were fighting just as usual, but then Makoto made a move I didn't expect, and pounced on me. She had me. Just like I'd been trained, I tried to break free, but I couldn't get out. I tried whatever I could, but she had me good. Suddenly, there was a flash of light, and Makoto was thrown off me clear across the room." Usagi scrunched her brow in concentration again, as if bringing the incident to life before her eyes. "I looked around wondering what had happend, and the others were staring at me in shock. I questioned what was wrong, and they asked 'Where had that come from?'. I said 'Where did what come from?', and they answered 'The beam of light from you. That was powerful'. I'd had no idea it had come from me, and to make it even more wierd it had come from my forehead or so they told me." Usagi looked up suddenly, her eyes suspicious. "You know what's funny? They seem to know something about it, and yet they act like they don't know anything. Their holding something from me." Endymion nodded. "Did you try to probe their minds?" Usagi nodded. "At first I didn't want to just because I wanted to trust, but just something told me to, but I couldn't because something was blocking the information, even from me. I couldn't get it." "Is there anything else that has been happening?" Endymion asked after a moment. Usagi flinched, as if she'd been dreading that question. "Yes.....there was," she whispered. "I....I almost.....ill...omeone." She mumbled the last part so softly that Endymion was unable to hear it. "What was that Buns?" He asked teasingly. Usagi looked up with tears in her eyes. All of Endymion's teasing disapeared instantly, and he gathered her into his arms. "Hey, it's okay. I was just trying to cheer you up. Tell me what happened." Usagi clutched him tightly as if he was her last link to all she had known. "Endy, I almost killed someone the other day," she sobbed. "I didn't mean to, it was an accident." Endymion cupped her face in his hands, wiping the treks of tears off her cheeks. "Shhh.....it's okay. Tell me about it, it'll all look better if you do." Usagi nodded. "I....I was doing my daily round of the village like I always do, but I was by myself, because I wanted to think. Anyway's, I was walking through a more deserted part of the village, because the day was coming to a close, when someone grabbed me from behind." Usagi took a deep breath, preparing for the next part. "It was the same guys that attacked me that one time. The one's who kissed me.....The leader was pulling on my arm rather hard, and it began to hurt really bad. I began to get mad more than afraid, and I told him to release my arm. He just laughed and pulled harder, I knew it was going to bruise, I got so angry that suddenly a ball of light surrounded me, throwing the men off me. I just stood there glowing, it was if for a moment I lost a part of myself, and someone else took over. I turned to the leader, and another blast of energy shot from my hands, and hit him in the chest. He flew about ten feet, and landed against a brick wall....He, he lay there not moving. I'd thought I'd killed him. The light suddenly disapeared as fast as it had come, and in sudden fear, I ran off. I learned from one of the servants that he didn't die, but he had cracked ribs, and a broken arm." Usagi hugged Endymion tightly. "Endy, I didn't mean to. I just got so angry that they were touching me again, that I fought back, but it was with something I wasn't aware of that I had." Endymion was enjoying holding her, but he concentrated on her words. "Don't feel so bad Bunny. In all honesty, he most likely got what he deserved. Don't feel so bad. It's okay." "Endy, I feel like I'm becoming a freak. People in the kingdom stare at me funny, and only my guardians have stayed near me." Usagi looked up at him. "You won't stay away....will you?" "I'll stick by your side no matter what," Endymion said sincerely. "I'm your friend. That's what friends are for." Usagi nodded. "Yeah....friends." But a part of her doubted that that was what they would be forever. Something in them was changing, growing, and she was certain, it was going to affect their future. "Now, let's go join the party," Endymion said, standing up. "I want to see if you can dance yet." Usagi giggled, but her eyes were still sad. "I can dance quite good thank you. I've had practice." Endymion smiled and offered her his hand. "Then prove it," he dared. Usagi took his hand, and took the dare. "I'll show you yet Endy," She growled. "That's a good girl. Be who you are, never change that," Endymion encouraged. "Let's go knock them dead." Usagi nodded, and together they headed into the ballroom. The room was stiffling a bit, but not as bad as most ballrooms Usagi had seen. The orchestra was playing a waltz and those who weren't afraid to try the daring dance were on the floor. Endymion with a mischevious grin on his face, took Usagi to the middle of the ballroom, and there placed Usagi in the proper position. Usagi giggled happily, placing her hand in his, and her other hand on his shoulder. Endymion placed his hand on her waist, winking at her, then placed her hand in his. They began the steps to the waltz, their eyes never leaving the others, and smiles upon their lips. They moved as one, the music overtaking them along with the joy of being reunited once more. Unconciously they began to move closer to one another, their eyes still locked. The crowds about them began to stop their dancing, and watched the young couple dance. All who saw them couldn't help but noticing how perfect they went together. Usagi's white creamy skin and silver hair, looked even more silken and creamy next to Endymion's darker complexion, black hair, and startling blue eyes. The crowd formed a circle about the pair watching them, jealousy, happiness, awe, and envy filling their hearts. On the other side of the room, the four generals were dancing with Usagi's guards, when they spotted Usagi and Endymion entering the room, and beginning to dance. Minnako and Malachite were the first to stop dancing, followed by Ami and Zoicite, Makoto and Neflite, and then Rei and Jedite. They approached the crowd, pushing their way through to the front of the crowd. As Minnako watched she began to sense something about those two, something uniquie and special something she hadn't seen for a long time. "It's a amazing," she whispered to herself. She was unaware she had spoken so intent on what she was seeing and feeling. "What's amazing?" Malachite asked facing her. Minnako blushed and guestured to the still dancing couple. "Those two. There's something about them, something special.....something important. Their linked totally, not even death could seperate them." "How can you tell?" Malachite asked. "It's just a power I have," Minnako explained. "I can tell sometimes when certain people belong together, whether certain people are soul mates, and so forth. It's quite amazing." Malachite stepped closer to Minnako, his voice low. "And what do you foresee between the two of us?" he asked in her ear. Minnako shivered, blushing deeply. "Ummm.....well......I see a lot of good things." Minnako blushed again, unable to continue out of embarrassment. Malachite chuckled softly and offered his arm to her. "Shall we leave these two alone, and continue dancing?" Minnako nodded, and took his arm. They walked off a way's and began to dance. A few minutes later, the others joined. "Endy," Usagi murmured after a while of dancing. "I feel funny." Endymion raised a brow in question and concern. "What's wrong?" "I don't know," Usagi replied. "I feel giddy, and lightheaded.....Yet happy and content. I feel like I......." "Could fly?" Endymion asked mirroring her exact thought. Usagi nodded vigorously. "Yes. I feel like I can take on the world. What's happening to me?" "I don't know, but I'm feeling the same thing Bunny," Endymion whispered. Unaware of the crowd, Endymion pulled Usagi closer, wanting to have her closer to him, and loving the feel of her in his arms. Usagi layed her head on his chest, her eyes closed dreamily. 'I don't know what's happening,' Usagi thought to herself. 'But I like it. I wish.....I wish I could stay like this forever. In his arms. Loved......' Suddenly Usagi's thoughts stopped and she opened her eyes in shock. 'Love?! Is that what's happening?' she screamed to herself. 'But it's not possible. He's my friend.....my almost brother...how can I love him? I mean I love him alway's have in a friend-sisterly kind of way, but now......now it's becoming something else. Something deeper.......Can we get through this? Will it last?' Usagi looked up at Endymion watching him intently. He was staring at her, a thoughtful look on his face. "What are you thinking?" She asked softly. "I don't know," Endymion answered honestly. "My emotions are a jumbled confused mess right now. I don't know what I'm feeling, but at the same time I know that I want this moment to last as long as possible. Usagi....am I loosing my mind?" Usagi smiled gently. "If you are, then so am I," she answered. "Endy, something good is happening.....something important. Let's just make the best of it, and let fate take it's course. I know everything will turn out okay." Endymion felt a sudden urge to kiss, and his eyes widened in horror. 'No,' he screamed at himself. 'You can't. This is Usagi. Your best friend. Your adoptive sister. If you do, you'll ruin everything......What's wrong with you anyway's, you haven't seen her for two years, and suddenly your feeling this toward's her. What's wrong with you?' Endymion argued with himself, trying to understand where this feelings had come from, and why they were there now. Endymion stopped dancing, and at Usagi's questioning stare explained. "People are staring at us. Let's go out to the garden again." Usagi nodded, and they were about to head out, when a voice stopped them. "Oh Endy! Bunny! Wait." Usagi and Endymion turned to see Queen Galalia and Theelonian were walking toward's them smiles on their faceds. The queen reached them first, and grabbed Endymion in a huge hug. "Oh Endy," she cried. "It's so good to see you again. I've missed you terribly. How are you? You haven't gotten into to much trouble have you? You've been behaving yourself properly haven't you? Oh look how much you've grown........" Usagi slinked off to let the queen and king have their moment with their son, and headed toward's the stairs. It had been good to see Endymion, but now she needed a moment alone to think and just be by herself. Without trying to look to obvious, Usagi headed up the stairs, and left the ballroom. Down on the floor, Rei happened to glance up and see Usagi leaving. "OH no you don't Bunny," she grumbled. "Your going to tell us everything. Hey girls, Bunny's leaving, let's go catch her." The others who were with the generals smiled and excused themselves to hurry and catch up with Bunny. The generals just smiled and let them go, knowing that girls will be girls and now was one of those times. Five minutes later, Usagi entered her room to find it empty which she was grateful for. Closing the door, Usagi seated herself in a chair before the fireplace, closing her eyes. A soft smile covered her lips as she thought about the nights events. It had gone well, and it had been nice to see Endy again. Knowing the King and Queen they would most likely stay a few more days to catch up with friends here, and to discuss Endymion's progress with the teacher's to make sure he was okay. That would give her the chance to spend more time with him, and to check this school out herself. She was curious about the workings of the school, and wanted to learn as much as she could about this place. There was a sudden knock at the door, and Usagi growled in irritation. "Who is it?" She asked tiredly. "It's Minnako," came the muffled reply. "And Rei," said another voice. "And Makoto," echoed a third voice. "And Ami," came the shy reply. Rolling her eyes in mild irritation, Usagi walked over to the door, and opened it. In the doorway stood her four friends, with large grins on their faces, and smug eyes. "Before you ask," Usagi muttered. "Nothing happened between me and Endy. We just simply talked and that's it." The girls walked into the room as she talked, their faces dropping slightly. Usagi closed the door behind them, and walked over to where her bed stood. "Darnit," Rei grumbled. "I was hoping for some juicy details." Usagi giggled, and plopped onto her bed. "You ladies are such hopeless romantics. Hoping that we'd fall in love at first sight huh?" Usagi didn't give them a chance to answer, but plunged on. "Since there isn't much to tell about me and Endy, you should tell me about your night with his guards. How was it?" Each girl either blushed deeply or lowered her eyes, finding some spot in the room suddenly very interesting. Usagi laughed out loud, enjoying their embarrassment. "Come on, give me the details." Rei rolled her eyes. "Give me a break Bunny. You know us. We just danced with them, and got to know them. That's it." The other girls nodded, the blushes still on their cheeks. Usagi smiled mischieviously. "Soooo.......do you girls like them?" Minnako giggled, nodding vigorously. "Oh Usagi, Malachite is so cute. He's so smart and so kind. He makes my heart race." Usagi smiled knowingly. "I knew you'd like him." Each girl told her tale about getting to know her certain general, and Usagi listened intently. When each was done telling about what they knew of their favorite, Usagi questioned them on if they were going to seet them again. "Oh yes," Ami answered excitedly. "Zoicite is going to show me around the library tomorrow. He says it's bigger than any library he's ever seen, and we're going to study together." Each girl cleared their throats nervously, hating the word study. "Uh....how about you Makoto, what are you and Neflite going to do?" Usagi asked bringing the subject back after the brief silence. Makoto smiled broadly, taking a deep breath then releasing it. "Well tomorrow night, he's going to show me the stars. He knows them all by name and their locations. But while we're waiting, he's going to show me the fighting arena where students can mock fight and practice skills. It's going to be good." Usagi smiled at her friends excitedness, and turned to Rei. "How about you Rei?" she asked. Rei shrugged as if it didn't bug her one bit that she liked a guy and a guy liked her. "Oh nothing much, he's going to show me the meditation room and fire reading room, and then we're going to look at the gardens." Finally Usagi faced Minnako, whom was staring at the stars outside her window. "How about you Minnako?" Minnako blushed noticably, smiling shyly. "Well....Malachite is going to show me the school. He's going to show me the training room, and the practice hall, and then we're going to go riding to view the country." Usagi laughed happily. "I'm so happy for you guys. Your guys are going to have so much fun. I'm glad you met them." They all smiled happily, except for Minnako, who had a frown on her face. "But.....what about you Bunny?" She asked hesitantly. Usagi frowned. "What about me?" Minnako swallowed nervously. "Well...what are you going to do tomorrow? Are you spending the day with Prince Endymion?" Usagi shook her head. "I don't know. I haven't talked to him about it. I was just planning to explore, and see what this school has to offer." "Doesn't sound like much fun," Rei grumbled. "Especially when your all by yourself." Usagi shook her head, smiling at her guards like a mother who is scolding her young child. "I'll be fine. It's no biggy. If I see him, then I'll see if he can do something, if not I can entertain myself." Usagi stood, signalling the conversation was over. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to change and go walk for a bit, then I'm going to bed." The girls stood up one by one, eyeing Usagi in concern, but not commenting. When they left, Usagi quickly dressed in a simple gown of blue that hugged the chest and waist, then flowed about her feet, the neck was square the sleeves slightly puffy, going all the way to the wrists. Usagi left her jewelry and roses on, and left the room. The night was late, but she was still restless and wide awake. Careful so as to not disturb those that had retired to bed, Usagi headed down the stairs and towards the Ballroom. As she approached the ballroom, she could still hear music playing and laughter and talking coming from the people still attending. Usagi walked past the doors, and heade toward's two french door at the end of the hall, leading to the garden. Once outside, Usagi released her held in breath, and began to calm. Usagi loved gardens, and spent alot of time admiring their beauty and tranquility. Their was alway's a sense of peace about gardens, and these were the places where she felt she could relax and let down her guard. When Usagi reached the middle of the garden where a large fountain stood she sat herself at a nearby bench, and stared at the gushing water flowing from the top of the fountain into the bottom. She leaned back into the chair, her mind clear her body relaxed. Suddenly, she heard voices approaching and not wanting to be seen, she ducked behind a thick patch of flowers, hiding herself in the thick follage. She watched the sidewalk, hoping the voices would pass the fountain. No such luck. Within moments, two figures a man and a woman approached the foutain. The man was tall, Usagi judged from his silouette, and well built. The girl was almost as tall as the man, with a skinny appearance, but graceful moves. As they stepped into the light, the moon's glow brought them into focus. Usagi gasped as she saw that it was Endymion. The woman had her arm around his arm, her body quite close to his, she was a beautiful woman with dark red hair pilled neatly and elagantly atop her head. She wore a deep purple dress that hugged her chest, waist and hips, then flowed about her legs and feet, trailing slightly behind. The bodice was quite low, showing off much of her cleavage. Her sleeves were off the shoulder and puffed, hugging just her upper arms, and leaving the lower arms bare. Her face was oval shaped with full deep red lips, and stunning green eyes, that smiled up at Endymion. She was speaking to Endymion, but they were to far away for Usagi to understand what was being said. Endymion had his head lowered close to the woman's head listening intently to her words as she spoke. He had a small smile on his lips, his eyes thoughtful. Usagi knew it was only a matter of time until Endymion realized she was nearby, she just hoped he thought she was in another part of the Garden nearby and not here. She blocked off her mind in an attempt to delay his notice, and slowed her breathing down, pushing her body deeper into the bush. Endymion and the young lady approached the bench that Usagi had occupied only moments ago, and sat down. Usagi was now able to hear what was being said. ".....And then he gave me my paper, and I passed," the woman was saying excitedly. "I couldn't believe it, I passed the exam." Endymion patted the womans arm in congratulations, releasing the hand about his arm. "I'm proud of you Lady Berryl," he murmured. "See, I told you you could do it." The woman smiled up at him, pure adoration in her eyes. "Yes, but if you hadn't of helped me study, I know I wouldn't of passed." Endymion shrugged, smiling sheepishly. "I didn't do much, I just asked you the questions. You knew the answers all along, you just needed the pressure eased up enough so that you could think." The woman slided closer to Endymion, laying a tentive hand on his arm. "I really do appreciate it Endymion," she said softly. "You realy did help." Endymion shrugged again, a small blush appearing on his cheeks as the woman slide even closer. "It....it was...noth...nothing," he stuttered, trying to slide away. The woman just slide when he slide, and soon he was to the edge of the bench. Usagi watched in silence, smiling at Endymion's nervousness. But a part of her was saddened and nervous. What did he feel for this girl? Who was she to him? Was she someone important in life? Did he feel strong feelings for this lady, more than he did for her? Usagi looked back up at the couple, her eyes widening as she saw the woman leaning into Endymion her lips headed for his. Endymion just stared at her wide eyed, not moving and not fighting. Usagi lost her concentration on blocking her thoughts and energy, a small gasp escaping her lips. Usagi smacked a hand silently on her mouth, looking up in horror to see if the couple had heard her. Endymion suddenly stood from the seat, as is he'd been shocked. The woman stumbled forward, then caught herself before she could fall. "My prince, what is wrong?" She questioned in confusion. Endymion gazed about him, and Usagi knew he was searching for her, he'd not turned to face the bush, so she could tell he didn't know where she was exactly. After a moment of searching, Endymion shook his head, and sat down next to Lady Berryl. "Nothing," he said. "I thought I heard something, but it was nothing." Berryl smiled happily, and layed her head on his shoulder. "That's good, you had me worried there," she giggled. "I thought you were scared of little me for a moment there." Endymion smiled nervously. "Umm.....naw. I wasn't." Berryl leaned closer, her face inches from his. "Then why don't we try that again?" Endymion cleared his throat, pushing her gently away. "I.....that is to say....I..." Lady Berryl smiled at his nervousness. "Yes?" she asked, signaling for him to continue. Endymion stood up again, and began to pace. After a moment of pacing, he stopped and faced the woman on the bench. "What I mean to say, is that I'm not ready for that. Your a fried....a wonderful friend, but I'm not ready to take it a step farther yet." Endymion stared at the ground as he spoke, then raised his eyes hesitantly. "Does that make you angry?" Usagi couldn't see the womans face, but she heard her words. "I don't know," the woman answered. "Oh well. I'll just wait, maybe some other time." The woman stood walked over to Endymion, gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, and then began to walk away. "See you tomorrow Endymion," she called over her shoulder. Usagi closed her eyes, sighing in relief. For some reason she was very glad they hadn't kissed, but she wasn't sure why. There was something about that woman, some kind of vibe she gave off made Usagi nervous. She wasn't jealous at all, jealous wasn't an emotion felt by her, but she was worried. Did Endymion like this woman better than her? Endymion stood in the same spot he'd been when Lady Berryl had left, his eyes staring into empty space. Usagi waited tensely hoping he'd leave. She didn't want to get caught and accused of spying. Suddenly Endymion turned to the bench glaring into the bush. "You can come out now Bunny," he ordered. Usagi gasped, but instead of coming out, she buried herself deeper into the bush. "I know your there Bunny. Come on, come out," Endymion said irritably. Usagi still didn't move. She sensed frustration from him, but she couldn't tell if it was frustration at himself or at her. As if sensing her thoughts, which he most likely did, Endymion gentled his tone. "I'm not mad at you Bunny, come on, come out." Usagi tentively stood, stepping cautiously from the bush, her eyes watching signs of movement from Endymion in case she would have to bolt. Endymion turned to face her and she tensed visibly, turning as if to run. "Wait," Endymion called raising a hand in silent appeal. "Don't bolt, I won't do anything." Usagi turned to face him fully, but she didn't ease her guard. "I'm not mad Usagi," Endymion said with forced patience. "I am a little frustrated though." Usagi stepped farther out of the bush, but walked opposite of where he stood. "I wasn't spying on purpose Endy," She said softly, nervously. "I....I was just out walking, and I heard voices......So...so I hide. I'm sorry for you not getting your kiss." Usagi continued to edge away from Endymion slowly and cautiously as she spoke her eyes never leaving his frame. Endymion gazed intently at the bench he had just occupied, his eyes thoughtful. And her last words, his head jerked up, his face registering shock. "MY what?!" he asked shocked. Usagi gulped and continued to edge away. "Your kiss," She stuttered. "I'm sorry I made you so nervous that you couldn't kiss her." Endymion face got even more confused, his brows furrowing. "What are you talking about?" He snapped. Usagi was almost on the other side of the foutain by now, her eyes never leaving Endymion's. "Lady Berryl," she explained. "She was about to kiss you, but because I was there you couldn't do it. I'm sorry." Endymion took a deep breath, and released it. "That's not what I'm frustrated about," he muttered. Usagi still moved toward's the walkway. "Then what is it?" she asked confused. "I'm frustrated because......Well....because," Endymion growled stopping his words. "That's none of your concern!!" He snapped. Usagi stopped suddenly, her eyes widening in shock and slight hurt. "I-I-I'm sorry for asking," she mumbled. "I was just worried about you." Usagi was near the walkway, and turned her back on Endymion. "I'll leave you now. I'm sorry for ruining your evening." In sudden burst of speed suprising both Endymion and Usagi, Endymion ran up grabbing Usagi from behind, and stopping her from leaving. Usagi gave a small shriek of suprise, turning sharply for face Endymion. Their bodies were close together, their faces inches apart. She didn't speak, but looked up at Endymion her eyes speaking her confusion for her. Endymion dropped his head in sadness, his eyes guilty. "I'm sorry Usa, I didn't mean to take it out on you. It wasn't your fault," he whispered gently. Usagi just stared at him, gazing deeply into his eyes. Endymion let her feel and see the sincerity, and smiled gently at her. "Do you forgive me?" He murmured, brushing his nose playfully across hers. Usagi giggled, ducking her head. Endymion didn't let her escape and brought her eyes back up to his, by placing a finger under her chin. He knew she did from her feelings, but he wanted to hear it. "Well....do you?" he asked again. Usagi smiled her eyes shining. "You know I could never stay angry at you Endy," she whispered. "Your too easy to forgive." Endymion smiled hugging her to him, their bodies quite close. Neither noticed to close intimacy, their gazes locked. "Your just to easy on me Usa," he murmured. Usagi blicked her eyes. "Usa?" she asked suprised. "Where did that come from?" Endymion blinked his eyes in suprise. "I don't know," he murmured confused. "It just popped into my head. It just seems to fit you." Usagi nodded. "I like it," she giggled happily. Endymion smiled, but then his gaze grew serious. "I really am sorry Usa, I didn't mean to take my anger out on you. There was no excuse for that." Usagi brushed some bangs from his eyes, smiling gently at him. "I already told you Endy, I forgive you. Besides you can make it up to me." Endymion raised a brow in mock villainy. "Oh yeah......How?" He asked teasingly. "You can spend the day with me tomorrow," Usagi crowed happily. Endymion's face dropped sadly his arms unconciously bringing Usagi even closer to him. Usagi enhaled her breath sharply, but didn't protest. "Endy, what's wrong?" She asked worriedly, sensing the drop in spirits. "I can't spend the day with you tomorrow," Endymion stated simply. Usagi dropped her head. "Oh, are you spending it with Lady Berryl?" she asked. Endymion shook his head virgorously. "No, nothing like that. It's just that my parents are heading home tomorrow," he explained, his voice sad. "What!!??" She asked, suprised and shocked. "But....but, I thought we were going to stay for a few days. Why are we leaving tomorrow?" "Because they have a peace conference that they have to attend in two day's, and they need to get home to prepare," Endymion answered back. Usagi gripped the front of his cape, her eyes wide. "But I just barely got here, and I've only seen you for a few hours. We can't leave yet.....Not so soon." Usagi dropped her head onto Endymion's chest, stil clutching at his shirt front. Endymion hugged her tightly, laying his cheek atop her head. "I know Usa.....It's hard for me too. I've missed you all so much." Usagi wrapped her arms around his waist, her eyes squeezed tightly shut as sudden tears entered her eyes. "When do we leave?" she asked sadly. "At first light," Endymion whispered. "You'll be taking the portals home instead of the normal transporation." "And I won't see you for........" Usagi drifted off, unable to finish. "Two years," Endymion finished. "Then I'll be coming home." Usagi looked up, forcing a smile, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, I was able to handle two years, what's another?" she asked happily. Endymion nodded, smiling. "Yeah....what's two years?" he grumbled lamely. Usagi once again brushed hair from his eyes, smiling. "It'll be okay. We can deal with it. The seperation's good for us." Endymion smiled down at her gratefully. The moon's glow above caused her hair to shimmer, her eyes sparkling, her silky skin even more pale in the moonlight. "When did you become so beautiful Usa?" he asked suddenly. Usagi gasped in shock, a nervous giggle escaping her lips. "Where did that question come from?" She asked teasingly. "I've noticed it since I first saw you tonight, I just asked now," Endymion chuckled. "You find that me beautiful?" Usagi question shyly. "Even as pretty as Lady Berryl?" Endymion snorted at the mention of Berryl. "She's not even close to you Usa," He stated. "Your the prettiest one in this whole congregation." Usagi looked around, pretending to search for other people. "I see no people here," she mumbled thoughtfully. "I meant from the ball," Endymion muttered, smiling at her. Usagi laughed, and chucked him gently on the chest. "Your just saying that because you grew up with me, and because we're friends," she argued, smiling nonetheless. "That's not the whole reason," Endymion argued back. "Every one was staring at you. They were trying to figure out where a beauty like you had come from, and who had a claim on you." "A claim?" Usag muttered angrily. "Makes me sound like a piece to sold at the market." "Some men think that's all women are," Endymion said sadly. "Just a piece of property." "But not you," Usagi pointed out. Endymion smiled and shook his head. "Not me, women are equals in my eyes, not lower." "I just hope some day, men realize that women are equal and sometimes better at certain things than they are," Usagi muttered, her eyes flashing in indignation. "I'm sure they will," Endymion comforted. "Anyway's.....shall I walk you back to your room, you never know who could be lurking about." Endymion growled and laughed like some villain, lifting his cape up to look like wings. Usagi giggled at the theatrics, bringing his arms down. "You look silly," she laughed. Endymion chuckled with her, placing a hand about her waist. "I know, but I love making you laugh." They continued to talk and laugh as they headed into the castle and up to Usagi's room. "I can't already be here, I'm not ready to go in," Usagi whined, whispering so as not to wake the other people asleep in their rooms. Endymion sighed. "It's amazing how fast things go when your having fun," he grumbled. Usagi nodded, and turned to face him, not opening the door. "Will you be out there to say good-bye?" she asked, not needing to explain what she was asking. "I'll be waiting for one of your giant hugs," Endymion answered in promise. Usagi nodded, and on impulse leaned up and kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks for being such a wonderful friend," Usagi whispered. Endymion gaze grew intent as he gazed down at her, and Usagi returned the stare. Endymion stepped closer, their bodies only inches apart. "Usa...." He whispered. "I'll miss you terribly." "And I you," she whispered back. Endymion leaned forward, placing a butterfly kiss on her forehead then moving down to gently kiss her cheek. He stepped back, smiled, then bowed. "Until tommorrow Usa," he murmured. Then he was gone. Usagi forehead and cheek tingled where Endymion's lips had touched. She placed a hand dazedly on her cheek, a goofy grin on her face. Eventually, she turned in her room, unaware she was being watched. When her door finally closed, a figure stepped from the shadows, her eyes ablaze with rage and jealousy. "He's mine," the figure hissed. "He belongs to me and only me. So help me, whatever it takes, I will make him mine." The figure then turned and stalked down the hall and into it's room.
