Usagi was up before the sun was to watch it's annual rise. She tried to contact Endymion, but didn't get a response. She guessed he either didn't hear her call, was to busy to answer, or was asleep. She didn't even consider that the distance was to far for the link, she refused to believe that was the case. After the sun had risen, Usagi dressed in the a dress that had been laid out on her bed. She had to look her best, for her new guards would be arriving today. She was excited, and a little nervous. Would they like her? Would she get along with them? Questions continued to race through her mind as she finished dressing and headed downstairs. She walked at a normal pace which caused many of the servants to stop and stare, mouths agape, for in their whole time serving they had never seen Usagi walk anywhere. Usagi smiled at them and waved continuing on her way. A small smile covered her lips as she thought what the king and queen would do when she walked instead of ran into the dining hall. It would be most interesting. When she reached the dining hall, the guard opened the door for her, and she went in. Seated at the table were the king, the queen, and four young girls all around her age. She looked at them all in turn, liking them on sight. The There were two girls on each side of the table on the left side of the table, sat a beautiful girl with long raven hair that touched the floor as she sat. She had violet eyes, with a very beautiful and distinguished face. She talked to the girl next to her who had long blonde hair, with the sides tied up with a ribbon. She had blue eyes which sparkled with wisdom and mischief, and her face radiated joy and excitment. As Usagi stared at her, she realized how much she and this blonde girl looked alike. If she was to cut her hair to this girls length and wear her hair, it would be difficult to tell them apart. Usagi then turned her attention to the girls on the right. The first girl was a petite young lady with short blue hair. Usagi was quite amazed that her hair was actually blue, but it seemed to suit her, and Usagi couldn't picture and other color for her. The girl had dark blue eyes, that glowed with wisdom far beyond her years, but a sense of happines covered their depths, along with contentment. The girl next her, hand long brunette hair, that was pulled into a ponytail utop her head. She had greens eyes that sparkled with laughter, but also a sense of danger. This girl was not one to mess around with when it came to fighting. She was tall, but not weak. She was all muscle, with a spirit to suit. Each girl was dressed in a dress for the fashion of the day, except in different colors. The raven haired girl was dressed in a dark red rose dress, which accented her face and hair very nicely. The blonde was dressed in an orange dress, and though most girls would look horrid in that color, she looked good in it. The blue haired girl was dressed in a light blue dress, with the brunette in a green dress. The colors suited them somehow, and Usagi had the distinct feeling these colors were a trademark of some sort. They were all talking amongst themselves, but as Usagi approached the table, the converstaion deminished coming to a stop when she reached the table. All eyes turned to Usagi. The four girls looked at her curiously and with interest, while the king and queen's eyes lite with joy. "Usagi," the queen said happily. "Your quite early this morning. We are glad you could make it. May I introduce you to your new Guardians. This is Minako, Rei, Ami, and Mokato." As the queen introduced them, they each stood and curtsied to Usagi. Usagi liked their names. Minnako was the blonde, Rei the raven haired girl, Ami the blue hair girl, and Mokato the brunette. Usagi curtsied back, smiling birghtly at them. "Girls this is Usagi. Your leader and the one you must protect." Usagi took her place at the table and dug into the breakfast. "When did you all arrive?" she asked as she buttered some toast. "We arrived this morning," Ami said, shyly smiling at Usagi. "Did you enjoy your trip?" Usagi asked, then taking a bit of toast. "Oh yes," Ami answered back. "The land is quite beautiful here. Everything's so healthy and green." Usagi nodded. "Yes. We are quite proud of our accomplishments. The people have worked very hard for this land, and it's a joy to see their work paid off so nicely." "Do you like it here?" The one known as Mokato asked. Usagi nodded vigorously. "I do. There is so much to do and see. We have beautiful forests, wonderful waterfalls, kind and loving citizens, and wonderful training centers for joisting, fencing, tennis, and other sports and interests. One is never dull here." "Do you have a library?" Ami asked shyly. "We do Ami. It's a very large library. The biggest one around for miles. I'll show it to you after breakfast. I like to spend some of my time there studying or to just be alone." Ami nodded happily, and then turned back to her breakfast. "You say you have a training room," Mokato said. "Where is it located?" "It's in the west wing, I'll show that to you to," Usagi answered. "In fact, I'll just take you on a tour of the castle, and then you'll know where things are." The girls each nodded, turning back to their food. When they were all through, Usagi stood, and they followed her out. "We'll start with this wing since that is where we are. Down this hall we hav the kitchen and the other more formal dining hall, for when we have a large number of guests. And to your right we have the ballroom, though it's smaller than the one behind it, and down here we have........" "Well, and we're back to where we stared. It's really big, and I don't expect you to remember where everything is. So if you get lost or have a question, just ask me or one of the servants. They'll help you." The girls were each standing outside the dining hall, situated in a circle talking. "It's a very nice place Usagi," Rei said. "But I've seen bigger." "I'm sure you have. Mother and father didn't want a large castle, just one with all the niceesities, along with some other things they wanted to add." Usagi could sense that Rei had a fighting spirit about her, and would willingly jump into a fight if needs be. But Rei was also very protective of those she cared about, and hide it well by criticizing their accomplishments or pointing out their faults. Usagi didn't mind, just because she got that from Endymion, but she would have to help Rei on that. "Well, what do you want to do now?" Usagi asked not sure what to do. "Well, we could study in the library, and learn more about this land and it's people," Ami suggested. The other three girls groaned, and rolled their eyes. Minnako came over to Ami, patting her on the back. "Oh Ami, don't you think of anything besides studying. You need to get out. Meet people, enjoy life." Ami rolled her eyes at Minnako. "I do get out Minna, I just like to study and keep with the times, that's all." "We could go riding, and see that land, and stop and talk to the people," Mokato suggested alway's ready for a fast paced ride, and open land. The other girls nodded at this, happy to get out. "Alright, it's agreed. Everyone meet in the stables once we've all change into our riding habits. Agreed?" The girls nodded, and they headed off to change. In her room Usagi felt Endymion brushing across her mind. She smiled in happiness, and called out a greeting. 'How are you little rabbit?' Endymion asked his voice warm and kind. 'I'm good. Oh Endy, I'm so happy that the link works still. I was so afraid it wouldn't. 'I told you it would silly Bunny. There was nothing to worry about. So what has you so nervous and happy at the same time?' 'I met my new guards today. Their all nice, but a little withdrawn. Maybe I can get them to open up.' Endymion chuckled. 'If you can't than no one can. You'd could charm a rock.' Usagi laughed at that, throwing off her dress, and putting on some breeches and a shirt. 'Where are you off too?' he asked sensing her thoughts. He knew she was changing, and it was into her breeches and shirt. 'Mom better not catch you dressed in those. She won't like it one bit.' 'Ooh, what's the big deal anyway's. I'm covered decently, and I'm still in style. What's the problem?' 'The problem is silly Odango Atama, your in men's attire. That's not fit for a lady.' Endymion chuckled at her, enjoying teasing her and talking to her. 'I miss you too, but anyway's, why shouldn't girls wear these things. Their so much easier to move around in. I can do alot more with them than I coulnd in a dress, for example. In a dress I can't run or jump or ride like I like to or fight, because the stupid skirt gets in the way, and I trip and fall. It's so disconcerting.' Endymion chuckled, picturing Usagi trying to do all the things she enjoys, and unable to do very well, because she was in a dress. 'Not a very pretty picture is it?' She asked seeing the same picture her conjerred in his mind. 'Not really. It's very funny though.' Usagi harumphed at him, taking her frustration out on her boots, pretending they were Endy's head. 'Hey, be gentle there. My poor head wouldn't last a minute with that treatment.' Usagi growled again, but gentled her touch. 'It's not funny at all. I'd like to see you in a dress, and trying to do the things you do, with one on. Then I'd be laughing.' Both pictured Endymion in a dress at the same time, and laughed. 'On second thought, keep your clothes you have,' Usagi said, still chuckling. 'It would be better.' 'I couldn't agree with you more. I'd look horrid.' Endymion wrinkled his nose in disgust. Usagi laughed at his words, not seeing his face. 'It would be a sad picture in deed Endy. The girls would definantely stop al together. And how would that affect your poor ego. Not good att all I must say. Poor Endy, still a bachelor because he wore a dress one day, and after that no one came to visit.' Endymion shrugged his shoulders. 'Well then I'd better not wear one so that I can still have a chance with the girls. Oops, I've gotta go, the teacher's noticed me, and he's glaring. I'll talk to you later.' 'Bye Endy,' Usagi called out, but the connection was already disconnected. "Talk to you soon too," She whispered aloud, staring at the floor, before standing and heading out the door. The others were already out in the hall waiting, they looked relaxed, but Rei looked impatient. "Geez, takes you long enough to change," She muttered, tapping her foot. All the girls were dressed in customary atire for riding that was made for young ladies, and so they all stared when they took notice of Usagi's attire. "What is thatz??!!" Rei asked, guesturing to Usagi's breeches and shirt. "This is my riding habit," Usagi said. "Is there something wrong with it?" Rei's jaw dropped, her eyes looking Usagi's attire up an down once more. "WRONG???!!!" She shrieked. "Of course there's something wrong, it isn't the attire fit for ladies. You shouldn't be seen in public with that on." Usagi smiled secretly, fighting to not bust up laughing. "And why not, LADY Rei?" She asked accenting 'lady', and bowing mockingly. Rei guestured to her attire, her eyes still wide and quite shocked. "Why?? Because your chest is quite exposed, and it's unfit for a girl to be seen so openly in public." Usagi chuckled softly, shaking her head. "The people of the village are quite used to seeing me like this. This is what I wear everytime I go riding, no one comments or pays much mind." Rei folded her arm, snorting very un-ladylike. "Well I still don't like it." Mokato popped her gently on the shoulder. "Oh come off it Rei. I think it's fine. In fact if I could, I'd wear the same thing." Usagi laughed as Rei glared at Mokato. "If I was your height, I'd let you borrow one of mine, but I'm afraid your a little too tall." Mokato smiled broadly at her, waving a hand in dismissal. "Don't worry about it. I just love hasseling Rei. I can never resist." Rei grumbled something under her breath and then throwing her fists in the air she said loudly. "Are we going to sit here all day gripping about me, or are we going to go riding?" The other girls nodded fighting huge grins, and they all proceeded down the hall. After an hour of riding, the girls had seen the village, and were now out in the country. Usagi's face was flushed with happiness, her blonde-silver hair shining in the sun. "What would you guys like to see next?" she asked. Minnako pointed to the far horizon, where the forest lay. "Let's go there. I'll race you." With that she kicked her horses flanks and she was off, the others laughed, and soon followed suit. Minnako was off to a far lead, but Usagi was fastly approaching. Usagi and her horse had done this for years, and each knew the others moves when to slow down and when to speed up they were one. Usagi gave her horse the lead, giving her the single to catch and pass Minnako. She laughed happily as her hair blew in the wind. The land scape passed in a blur as she gained speed, and soon she passed Minnako, a look of utter shock on her face. When they reached the edge of the forest, they all slowed their horses down, with Usagi first, Minnako second, Mokato third, Ami fourth, and Rei last, her face in a frown because she'd been last. "Your pretty good at this Usagi," Mokato said as she brought her horse next to Usagi's. Usagi laughed, breathing deeply from the run. "I've done this since I was a little girl. Me and Endy alway's raced each other. At first he alway's won, but then I started too. No one's been able to beat me since." Mokato laughed. "Yeah. Poor Rei came in last. She's not too happy." Usagi smiled, but didn't laugh. "You seem really attached to your horse Usagi," Ami commented shyly. "You two almost seemed like one being when we were racing." Usagi shrugged, patting her horse on the neck. "I'm just able to communicate with animals. It's been something I've alway's had since I was little. Animals can understand me, and I can understand them. We know we can trust one another, and there's no threat or mistreatment. It's alway's been that way." Minnako nodded. "Yeah. I understand, and I think it's really neat. Can anybody do it?" Usagi shrugged, gazing into the forest. "I don't know. I didn't really know I was able to do it until Endy saw me doing it one day unknowingly, and he helped me to develop it better, and to become aware of what I was doing. He helps me alot." A somewhat sad nostalgic look came upon Usagi's face, and Minnako noticed it. "You miss him alot don't you. Are you two really that close?" she asked kindly. Usagi nodded. "We were best friends ever since I was found. He likes to protect me, and I do the same. We share everything together, do everything together. We're very close." "And that's why his leaving has you so down," Minnako said thoughtfully. "Because he's a farther distance, and not so close any more. Right?" Usagi looked up shocked, and nodded mutely. Mokato spoke up. "Well I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready for some lunch. Shall we head back?" The others nodded, but Usagi shook her head. "You guys go ahead. I need to do something first, and then I'll come join you." Minnako shook her head. "Sorry, can't do. We're your guardians remember. We have to stick by you at all times." Usagi rolled her eyes. "I've been riding this trail for years, and nothing has ever happened to me. I'll be fine, don't worry. I just need to check on something real fast, and then I'll be there. Please.....I'll be okay." Minnako seemed a little hestitant, but finally she nodded. "Alright, but we'll meet you in the village, not the castle." Usagi nodded. "Agreed. I'll huryy." The four girls turned their horses around, and head back towards the village, while Usagi continued into the forest. She rode deep into the forest into a section that had yet to be discovered, and she doubted ever would be. It was a area shielded by think trees. They seemed unpenatrable, but Usagi knew different. There was an alcove of trees with a thin opening for a person to fit through. Usagi dismounted her horse, and entered the protection of trees. On the other side of the trees, was the glade Endymion and her had discovered as children. It was even more beautiful now than when they had found it. The flowers had grown more in numbers and larger in size. The grass was thick, the sunlight dimmer. The pond was bigger as well, with the waterfall a little bit bigger than the small trickle it had once been. Usagi walked over to a patch of rocks on the ponds surface, and sat down. She stared at the pond, watching the sun's reflection on the surface and the swaying of moss and grass under the water. Small gold fish swam about in the pond, eating the small bugs that landed, and the bits of algae on the rocks and bottom. Usagi sighed in contentment, her body relaxing. She loved it here, and couldn't imagine any place she'd rather be. 'I'm not suprised that your there,' Endymion said, interupting her solitude. Usagi sat up with a gasp, looking around in shock. 'Endy?' Endymion laughed. 'You don't have to sound so suprised. Yes, Endy. How are you?' Usagi layed back down on the rock, staring at the sky. 'Good since the last time you talked to me, which was only a few hours ago. How are you? Dealing okay?' 'I'm okay, although the classes aren't as fun now that you are in it with me. But I'm learning alot. I've only been here one day, and I already know my way around.' Usagi smiled closing her eyes, and just going with the moment. 'You were alway's good at memory. No wonder you alway's did better on tests than me.' Endymion snorted. 'Yeah, but you still got better marks than me. I wonder why?' 'Because Endy I, unlike you, did my homework as well as the tests. You only really did your best work on the tests, you didn't even try with your homework,' Usagi said in an almost motherly scolding kind of voice. 'Well, that shouldn't have affected me so bad," Endymion grumbled. 'Well, than I guess I'm just smarter,' Usagi said, sticking out her tongue although Endymion couldn't see it. 'Whatever,' Endymion muttered. 'Anyway's, how are your knew guards.' Usagi smiled at the new subject, happy to discuss her new friends. 'Oh, their great. Rei is a very beautiful raven haired girl, with a fiery spirit to boot. Minnako looks alot like, except her hair is shorter, and worn down her back. Ami is adorable.....but get this, she has blue hair, can you believe that??!!' Endymion laughed. 'Your serious. She has actual blue hair?' 'Yeah it's real. It's not fake, but the funny thing is, is that it suits her somehow. I can't picture her with any other color. She's very shy though, and smart. She studies alot.' 'Something you lack,' Endymion said. Usagi snorted. 'I do study, but just not like some people do. I'm not alway's studying everyday, all day. It'd been to boring.' Endymion nodded. 'I have to agree. I'm not one who can study for a long time either. I'd go mad.' Usagi stretched, nodding. 'Yeah. I don't know how they manage it, but they do.' 'Anyway's, tell me about the other girl,' Endymion prompted, getting back to the subject at hand. 'Well, Mokato is a very tall girl. Taller than you, and she had long brown-red hair in a pony tail, with pretty green eyes and an attitude to boot. She's fun loving, but alway's ready and anxious for a fight to start, just so she can join. She's very protective too, though Minnako has her beaten just a little bit more on that subject.' 'You seem to like them. Do they like you?' Endymion asked. 'Yeah, although Rei pretends to hide affection and caring with criticism and negativity, though it's not real serioud or damaging.' 'They seem like the perfect people for you. They each have spirit in them, and they like to have a good time. It's perfect for you.' 'Yeah. We're doing okay, especially considering how we just met this morning. We're good friends already.' Endymion smiled. 'I'm glad. I'm glad you are friends with them, and have someone to talk to and be with.' 'Yeah, but they can't replace you. Your my one best friend, and no one could replace that. You'll alway's be my friend no matter what.' 'And you mine,' Endymion said softly. They sat in silence for a moment, each picturing the other's location, and plainly enjoying one another's company. 'Hey, I hate to break this up, but I have to go,' Endymion said softly. 'I have fencing now. I'll talk to you tonight okay.' Usagi nodded, and sat up. 'Okay. I'll see you than.' 'Bye Bunny,' he said softly. 'Bye,' Usagi answered back. Then giving the glade on last look, she left, and returned to the village. "OOH......Where is she? She's been gone almost an hour," Rei growled pacing back and forth, and watching for signs of Usagi. "Calm down Rei," Mokato said. "She'll be here soon. I'm sure she's okay." Minnako nodded. "Yeah, but I still think we should have stayed with her. It would have eased my mind." Ami nodded. "Yes, it would have eased all our minds, but having us with her wouldn't have eased hers." Minnako looked over at Ami, who at the moment had her head in a book. "What do you mean Ami?" "Well I just got the idea that she was going someplace that we couldn't go to, and that she needed to be alone for a moment." Mokato nodded. "I understand about wanting to be by yourself once and a while, we all do, but she's not here yet, and that's the only problem." Minnako held up a hand for them to all settle down, and then spoke. "We'll wait for a few more mintues, and if she isn't back by then, we go searching for her. Agreed?" They all nodded, and eight pairs of eyes turned to different parts of the village, searching for a familiar head of hair. Suddenly Mokato perked up, standing up to her full height, and a huge grin spread upon her face. "Look.....Look over there. She's back." All eyes turned in the direction she was pointing, and they to smiled. There was Usagi at a nearby cart, smelling flowers and talking to the lady there. The girls rushed over to them, and when Usagi spotted them, she smiled. "Where have you been??!!" shrieked Rei. "We've been waiting for almost an hour! What were you doing?" Usagi shrugged, smelling a purple flower in her hand that looked like a tuba's opening with a yellow center. "I just wanted to be alone for a moment. And like I said, nothing happpend to me, and I'm safe and sound." Rei growled and was about to comment, but was stoppped when Minnako put a hand on her arm. "We were a little worried about you Usagi. We're responsible for your well being, and when you go missing for too long, we get worried." Usagi smiled warmly at her, apprectiation in her eyes. "I understand Minnako. I'm sorry I worried you." She thought for a moment, and came to a decision. "How would you like if there was some way I could tell you I was in danger if you weren't real close or I was far away." Minnako nodded, but there was confusion on her face. "How could you do that?" 'Like this.' Minnako started, staring at Usagi, until she realized Usagi hadn't spoken through her mouth, but she'd spoken through her mind into theirs. 'This way, I can tell you and only you guys if I'm in danger, and you can come save me. You'll be able to see where I am, who's attacking me, and you'll be able to find it easier because I'm linked to your minds.' Mokato smiled broadly shaking a fist in the air. "It's wonderfull. That's perfect." Minnako nodded. "Is there any way we could test this to make sure it works?" Usagi nodded. "I'll go hide somewhere, and you come searching for me by using the link in your minds. Okay?" They all nodded, and Usagi took off. She had to choose her location carefully in order to give the link it's deserved test. As she walked the streets, she looked for the best place to hide. As she reached the back streets of the village, she found the perfect hiding place. It was a little alleyway, half concealed by discarded blankets and broken down carts. It was dark as well. It was perfect. Usagi hide herself in the alley way, realizing as she entered it was large than she had first judged. Wall to wall, it would be able to hold three people side to side. Usagi crouched down behind the blankets and carts, then signaled to the others she was ready. 'Okay, I'm in hiding, come and find me.' Usagi sensed their confusion underneatth their excitement, and was glad that they had come up with this idea to test it and accustom them to this before a real emergency happened. Sensing their beginnning of the search, Usagi sat back into a more comfortable position in the alleyway, and offered them instructions and reassurances when she would feel them faltering or losing their way. 'Just concentrate on my energy.....that's it, good. Just follow my voice, and follow the link. The closer you get the stronger the link groes........good.' They were getting closer, they were just on the outskirts of the village where the houses became more run down from abandonment or thieves. So set on instructing the four girls on finding her, Usagi didn't hear the approaching footsteps, until someone spoke. "Well, well, well what have we here?" Usagi gasped at the leering voice behind, and turned sharply to face the voice. Four me stood behind her, they wore tattered clothing, with their hair in a dissarray. Some even had missig teeth. They stared at her with an evil gleam in their eyes, gazing at her in an way that one would gaze at a prize just one or something on the market to be bought. She didn't like the feeling they registered. "What's a nice thing like you doin' in a place like this?" One asked with a very heavy back street accent. Usagi guessed that he must be the leader because he was in front and doing the talking. "None of your business," Usagi snapped, hiding her fear at being out numbered. The men laughed, the leader rubbed his chin thoughtfully the grin still on his face. "It is my business when your own our land." "I don't see your name on it," Usagi said, glancing around as if looking for his sign of ownership. The man frowned at her lack of fear, annoyed she was getting the better of him. "This belongs to me little lady, and those who step on our land must pay." Usagi stood slowly, her eyes never leaving the leader. People like this were usually cowards and looked to the leader to decide their course of action. If she could take out the leader, she was positive the other two would run. "This land is owned by the King and Queen. Not by you." The man laughed, and Usagi gagged at the rows of missing teeth. "We work it, not the king and queen. Therefore it is ours." Usagi snorted. "I doubt people like you three ever did work. You gain your money from lying, cheating, and stealing." The man's good humor faded to be placed by a cold, evil stare. "In case you haven't noticed little lady, you are out numbered, and you have no place to run. Your quite the prize here. I should get some enjoyment from you. Hand over all you got." Usagi glared and fisted her hands, bending her legs, and preparing to fight. "Not on your life. You want you'll have to take it." The man smiled at her bravery, but his eyes remained cold. "If you insist." He raised his hand in a typed of signal, and suddenly Usagi arms were grabbed from behind, pulled behind her and held tight. She gritted her teeth at the pain, but didn't cry out. "You are a fiesty one aren't you?" The man asked softly approaching her in an almost stalking manner. "Well, it won't last. Your outnumbered and outdone. You haven't a chance, so just cooporate and I'll go easy on you." When the man was almost a foot a way, Usagi roared kicking up her feet and hitting him with her feet on his chest. He gave a suprised oaf, as he fell back. Her arms were renched tighter behind her back, her hair pulled so that her head was forced back. Tears misted in her eyes from the pull, but she continued to glare as the leader stood. He held a hand to his chest, breathing deeply. "That wasn't very nice of you," he said almost sadly. "Now you have to pay." With a great amount of speed the man was in front of Usagi, his face only inches from hers. "Quite fighting and it will go easier." The man placed his mouth on hers, and Usagi tried to scream but was cut off by his lips. She tried to fight, but she held fast by his followers. Usagi gave up fighting, and her only thought as the man began to kiss her deeply wasl; 'Where are my Guardians?' Half way across the world, Endymion sat up sharply from his bed as he felt a pain in his head. Something was wrong. Jedite who was sleeping in a bed next to Endymion looked at him sharply, confusion on his face. "Hey Endy, you okay?" He whispered so as not to attract the other students. Endymion stared blindly ahead, his head tilted as if listening to something. Jedite nudged Endymion, trying to get his attention. "Hey Endy. Snap out of it. Are you okay?" Endymion continued to stare forward, but finally he spoke. "Usagi's in danger," he whispered. "HUH?" Jedite said. Endymion shook his head as if to clear it, and turned to Jedite, worry very effident in his eyes. "Usagi's in danger. She's scared. I've never felt that from her before. She's in real trouble." "Are you sure?" Jedite asked, then shook his head at the stupid question. "What's happening, can you tell?" Endymion scrunched his brow, concentrating on her energy. "She's.....she's being Kissed," he whispered shocked. "Kissed?!" hissed Jedite. "What's so bad about that?" Endymion glared at Jedite, before concentrating once more. "Yes kissed, but it's by someone she doesn't want kissing her, and it's hurting her." Jedite saw the sweat begin to grow as Endymion struggled to hold the image. "But what can we do? You'd better be careful, it's taking alot out of you." Endymion shook his head. "I can't pull back until I know she's okay." Jedite shook his head, and signaled for the other guards attention. They sat up wondering at the alarm, but when they connected minds with Endymion and Neflite they saw what the problem was and using their stregnth, they helped him to keep the image. "We have to help her," gasped Endymion, his vision becoming blurry. Because of the far distance it was hard to keep the image, especially because Usagi was unaware that Endymion was in her mind at the moment. She was to busy with the man kissing her and touching her body to talk or even acknowledge him. 'I know we have to help, but what can we do Endy?' Neflite asked via the psychic link. 'She's there and we're here.' Endymion growled in frustration under his breath. 'I know, I know. But I have to do something.' Breaking the link, between the guards, Endymion began to pray. 'Please.....someone help her.' 'Someone help me!' Usagi screamed through her mind, trying to break the hold around her arms and on her face. 'I need help. I can't fight them all myself.' Five minutes away from where Usagi was located, four girls were running down the street. Passer byers stopped what they were doing to stare at the girls. They were dressed in a odd assortment of attire. They were each in a differen color, with very short skirts, tight bodices, bows on the chest, and a piece of cloth in the back. They wore tiara's on their forheads with different shoes and boots, earings and chokers. "Hurry!" The one in red said. "She's close by. Just down this bend. We have to protect her." "Sailor Scouts be prepared for anything," one in orange called. "If anything's happend to her, I'm going to really pound someone to dust," One in green growled. "Keep a calm head Jupiter. We'll need it if we are to save her," one in blue commented, never looking up from a small contraption in her hand. Finally they reached the alleyway where Usagi was being mauled by the four men. They each formed a semi-circle around the alleyway, and each prepared to fight. "HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!!" The orange dressed sailor scout called. "I demand you release that girl at once." Ten pairs of shocked eyes turned in the direction of the voice, and five jaws dropped. They stared at the girls, unsure of what to make of them. "Who the bloody heck are you?" asked the one holding Usagi's arms behind her back. Usagi eyes were mere slits on her face, but she stared at the girls before her, happy that someone had come to help. "We are the Sailor Scouts," The one in orange announced. "We are defenders of the innocent and protectors of all thats good. On behalf of our planets I demand you release that girl at once." All five guys snickered, laughing at the girls. "Run along home girlies to your mommy, before someone gets hurt," one of the men said. The scout in green tightened her fists, and glared at the men. "Be careful who your talking to mister. You don't know who your dealing with," she growled. The men snickered again, and the leader gave them the go to attack. The fight was over in a matter of moments. It happened so fast. Suddenly the whole area was covered in fog, there were curses, followed by yells, grunts, and then silence. The leader held Usagi in front of him, waiting for the fog to clear to see who the victor was. As the fog cleared their eyes widened to see the girls still standing and the thieves out cold on the ground. The scout and red smiled coldly at the leader, raising her hand as a sign for him to surrender Usagi. "Now like we said, release her," she sneered. "Or do we have to get rough with you?" The man gulped, then taking one last look at his comrades, dropped Usagi, and took off down the alleyway. Usagi dropped with a gasp, massaging her aching arms. She looked up to thank her rescuers, but found the street empty. "Huh? Where did they go?" She asked aloud, gazing up and down the street. Suddenly from down the street and to the right, Usagi could hear yelling. She recognized the voice of Mokato. "USAGI??!!" She yelled, panic in her voice. "Usagi are you here? Answer." "I'm here," she tried to yell, but in came out a croak. She gave up and called to them with her mind. 'I'm here, in the alley covered by the wagons. Help me, I'm suddenly very weak.' The girls arrived at the alleyway breathless and flushed from their run. "We sensed you in danger and came as fast as we could," Ami said kneeling down beside Usagi and gazing at her to make sure she was alright. "I'm okay now," Usagi said softly. "But I was saved by some girls. Strange girls they were too." Rei rolled her eyes. "What do you mean strange girls? What you hallucinating?" Usagi shook her head, her face srunched in confusion. "No, no they were real. They were dressed real funny, in very short skirts, and a sailor like attire. They said they were scouts, here to defend all good. They saved me." Minnako shook her head. "I've never heard of them. You must have been seeing things." Usagi shook her head. "NO! I have proof. Look right there. How do you explain those guys being unconcious." Usagi guestured to the unconcious thieves, daring them to argue. Mokato glared at the men, growling under her breath. "Well who ever saved you should have give those guys a bigger fight. They got off to easy." Minnako placed a comforting had on Mokato's arm. "It doesn't matter now. Right now we have to get Usagi back to the palace." They all nodded and proceeded to help Usagi up, then they began the long trek back home. On the other side of the world, Endymion sighed in relief, and opened his eyes. 'She's okay.' he said softly to the others. 'Yeah,' Neflit murmured. 'But who were those girls? What did they do, and where did they come from?' 'I don't know, I'm just grateufl Bunny was saved.' The others nodded, and begrudgingly turned back into their beds and tried to sleep. "Gracious child, what happend?" the queen cried, when Usagi and the other girls entered the hall. Usagi sat in one of the chairs sighing as she did. "I got ambushed, but I was saved." The queen turned to the four, happiness in her eyes. "Thank you. I'm so glad you were there." The girls shuffled their feet nervously, not meeting the queens eyes. "Well....you see," Mokato started off nervously. "It wasn't.....what we mean to say is......," Minnako murmured. "It wasn't them," Usagi said softly. The queen turned on Usagi sharply. "What??!!" Usagi took a deep breath, shutting her eyes in exhaustion. "I said it wasn't them. They weren't the ones who saved me." The queen faced the other girls, wringing her hands in unconcious nervousness. "Well who did?' Usagi shrugged, her eyes still closed. "I don't know. Some Sailor Scouts who said they were the defenders of the planets. They saved me although I still don't know what they did." The queen covered her mouth in shock. "Sailor Scouts? HERE?" Usagi opened her eyes, nodding in confusion. "Yes.....Why?" The queen began to pace her face a mixture of confusion and anger. "Why?.....Because they are the guardians of the Moon Kingdom. They protect the Queen and the people of the moon. What are they doing here?" Usagi sat up straighter in her chair, her eyes alert. "Mooon Kingdom? You mean it's real?" The queen stopped her pacing and faced Usagi. "Real? Ofcourse it's real. As real as you and me." "Why are you so upset your majesty?" Ami asked. The queen took a deep breath and released it. "Because people of the earth and the moon have not been able to get along. To many people believe the Moon is trying to conquer the Earth and rule it unjustly." Usagi swallowed nervously. "Do you believe that?" The queen shook her head vehemetly. "Of course not. Me and Queen Serenity have been life long friends. She is a fair and gentle ruler. She would never do anything to hurt others." Usagi eyes glazed over at the mention of the Queen's name. "Serenity," She whispered. "Why does that sound so familiar?" "Usagi you okay?" Mokatko asked, pulling her from her thoughts. Usagi shook her head to clear her thoughts, and smiled. "Yeah I'm fine. I hate to break this up, but I'm very tired, and I wish to go to bed." The queen nodded, compasion filling her eyes. "I understand dear. You go on right ahead. I must speak with your guardians." "Don't be harsh with them mother, it was my fault after all," Usagi said as she headed towards the door. "What do you mean Bunny?" the queen asked, raising a brow. "It was my fault we got seperated. I was testing something, and they got lost. It was all my fault for why they weren't able to help right away." "Thank you Bunny. Now you retire to bed. It will be alright." Usagi nodded, and left. Once she was out of sight, the queen faced the girls. "So you managed to save her without her knowing it was you?" she asked. Minnako nodded. "Yes. She never suspected a thing." The queen nodded satisfied. "Good. I wish it to stay that way. You can protect her in that manner, but she must not know it is you until the time is right." The girls bowed the queen. "Understood your majesty," Minnako said formally. "Very well. You may all go." The girls left, and after a moment, the queen followed suit. Usagi had just let her hair down and was combing it out, when there was a knock at the door. "Come in," she called. The door opened, and Mokato, Minnako, Ami and Rei walked. "Usagi, we wanted to.....apologize," Minnako said hestitantly. Usagi stared at them shocked. "Apologize? Why?" "For not being there when you needed help," Ami said. "We feel real bad that we weren't able to be there for you right away." Usagi smiled, and walked over, hugging the girls individually. "Don't fret about it," she scolded gently. "There was no harm done. Just a few bruises. I'm sure you would have been able to help me to some degree or another if those strange scouts hadn't of showed up. More than likely if they hadn't of showed up, that man would still be mauling me, and you would have had to save me." Ami smiled happily. "You think so?" Usagi nodded. "I know it. Now don't worry your silly heads any more. It's over and done, and best forgotten. Let's all retire to bed, and prepare for the new day." The others nodded, and headed out the door calling out good night's to Usagi. Usagi smiled warmly as she closed the door, and then turned and walked over to the window. She sat on the bench huggin a pillow to her chest. "Endy," She whispered. "I hope you are safe and warm on this night. Sleep tight, and stay safe." Usagi stood and went to her bed. She pulled the covers to her chest and stared above her. Suddenly a voice pulled her from her reverie. 'Bunny? You there?' Usagi sat up sharply. 'Endy?' 'Actually, it's Neflite.' 'Neflite?!' Usagi gasped. 'Yeah, Endy's in getting an ear full from his teacher about sleeping in class.' Usagi barely heard his words. 'How....how are you able to talk to me?' 'I'm using the stars. They give me the extra power I need to talk to you,' Neflite explained. Usagi nodded, and then his earlier words registered. 'What's Endy getting an earfull for.' 'For falling asleep in class.' 'What?' Usagi asked shocked. 'Endy asleep. Are you serious?' Nelfite chuckled. 'He fell alseep in class. But it was because he was up last night worrying about you.' 'Me?' She asked shocked. 'Why?' 'Because he sensed you were in danger earlier and he wanted to make sure you got help.' Usagi nodded. 'Oh. Well, when will he be out?' Neflite shrugged, although Usagi couldn't see it, and grinned. 'Who knows. He's one of the highest ranking students, and it just won't due to have him fall asleep.' Usagi giggled, and settled back into bed. 'I'll have to talk to him later,' she murmured. 'So.....are you okay?' Neflite asked hesitantly. 'Hmmm?' Usagi questioned sleepily. 'Okay from what?' 'What happened earlier,' Neflite chuckled. 'Are you okay?' Usagi nodded. 'Ummhmmm.' 'Good. I'll let you go now, so you can sleep. Talk to you later.' 'Good night,' Usagi said between a yawn. 'Good night Usa.' Usagi didn't hear the name, because she broke connection after saying good night, and so his words were never heard. The next day, just as the sun was peeking over the horizon, Usagi was awakened once more. 'Bunny, hey wake up. Your going to miss the sunrise,' The voice demanded. Usagi mumbled in her sleep, and turned onto her stomach. 'No fun without Endy here,' She mumbled sleepily. 'Well, maybe I can't be there, but we can still see it together through one another's minds.' Usagi sat up sharply. 'Endy?' Endymion chuckled slightly. 'Who else would it be?' Usagi rubbed the sleep from her eyes, and yawned. 'I don't know. Neflite maybe.' Endymion's eyebrow's shot up in suprise. 'Neflite?' 'Yeah. He talked to me last night. I thought it was you because I wasn't paying attention to the vibes. I was to tired. He wasn't as strong or as familiar. It didn't feel the same as when I talk to you.' 'Feel the same? What do you mean?' Endymion asked in confusion. Usagi yawned, and shook her head in frustration. 'I can't explain it. There's just a different feeling about me and you when we talk. I don't feel it with any one else. The closeness, the security....I don't know. Do you understand?' Endymion nodded, a soft smile spreading across his lips. 'Yeah. I do....Now hurry and get up or you'll miss the sunrise.' Usagi grumbled as she pushed the sheets away, and walked over to the window. 'I'm up, I'm up already. I am a little tired you know.' Endymion chuckled. 'Yeah, I know.' They watched the sunrise in silence for a moment, although for Endy, it was the sunset where he was. When the sun was up where Usagi was, and the sun gone from where he was Endymion spoke, breaking the comfortable silence. 'Bunny, are you okay?' He asked gently. Usagi wrinkled her nose, and rolling her eyes. 'I'm fine. Why are you asking?' "I felt you in trouble yesterday, and I couldn't help. I know you were saved by the Sailor Scouts, but I wanted to make sure you were okay personally,' he explained. Usagi smiled softly, and gazed over at the yellow rose on her night stand, still in bloom and as beautiful as it had been the first she got it. 'Thanks for the concern Endy, but I'm fine. A little shaken up, and nervous about kissing, but besides that I'm great.' 'Kissings not all that bad Bunny,' Endymion said gently. Usagi giggled. 'And just how would you know. Have you ever kissed someone?' Endymion blushed and stuttered for an answer. 'No....that is to say.....I mean.....Well.......' Usagi burst out laughing and fell unto her bed. 'I love making you stutter and embarrassed. I don't get very often, but when I do, I love it.' Endymion grumbled under his breath. 'Yeah I can tell. But in answer to your question, I've never kissed a girl, yet, but I've had guys here telling me about it. They say it's pretty nice, when the both of you want to do it.' Usagi blushed, a little embarrassed at the turn of the conversation. 'Do guys alway's talk about things like that?' 'No, just sometimes. We like to talk, just like you girls, but we just do it differently.' Usagi nodded, mimicking her voice so it sounded deeper. 'Yes, we must keep up our manly image.' They both laughed, and then drifted into silence. 'I miss you Endy,' Usagi whispered after a moment. 'I miss you too Bunny, but in a while we'll see each other again. Just watch, it will go by real fast.' Usagi nodded. 'It couldn't come any faster. I can't wait to see how you've grown and all you've accomplished.' 'I can't wait to show you. Just watch I'll get so good at fencing, you won't be able to beat me.' Usagi snorted. 'Yeah right. I'll be better than you forever.' 'Fine we'll have a match when you come to Avolon, then we'll see,' Endymion challenged. 'Deal. We'll just see who's better,' Usagi growled. They laughed once more and then said good day or good night to one another until the time they would be able to talk again. Well, that's it for this time. How are you all enjoying it so far? I'm hoping you like it. Let me know what you think. Again thanks to all of you who have written me and encouraged me to keep writing. I really appreciate it.
