I really appreciate it! Well, as I have not posted anything of this story yet I have gotten very few e-mails about it, (I only sent it to my friends) I have only gotten encouragement from my friends, but if you feel like e- mailing me, I PROMISE I will right back. The address it nitehawk@silcom.com. That is right folks, nitehawk@silcom.com. Disclaimers: I don't own Sailor Moon, etc., etc. It you want a better disclaimer they are out there, but not on this page. We ALL know the disclaimer routine so I doubt you need another one. Now, as always, to get straight to the really fun parts skip straight to chapter 3, these parts are very exciting as well, but just not quite as fun as chapter three. Thank you for your patience. And of course thanks to all the people who have complimented me on the other stories! Expecially Chichiri, Sailor Venus, Sailor Saturn, Alicia Blade, Melinda, Mareike, and any others that I may have missed. Oh, there was this story I was reading once, and I can't remember the author or the title (yes, my memory is bad) so if any one can tell me the titla and/or author of a really cute story about Jupiter in which she goes to Rei's school and is have trouble with this guy that she does not like, she volenteers at the hospital and so does she, oh, and also this is the story in which she plays the Sailor Moon arcade game and uses the Jupiter Desperation? Move and is acused of cheating. Well, if anyone knows what I am talking about, tell me!!!! "White Rose, Red Rose" - Chapter 2.5 Laughing, a Princess ran through the halls of her palace. Running past servants, guards, Lords, and Ladies. All who saw her smiled. She radiated joy, happiness, and love. True there were some changes from when she was a little girl, she had longer hair, it was past her ankles, and her eyes showed that she was more intelligent, but she was still the same girl at heart, if not happier. She was still the white rose that she had been when she was little. And now she was almost twelve. A very important age for a lady. It was time in which a girl became a young woman, and then at sixteen she was actually a woman. It was the age in which mother's started looking for suitable matches and a girl's training changed from the basics to more involved things. It was a very important age. But most importantly for the Princess on her twelfth birthday her court would be coming to stay. She had already met all of them and they had been good friends ever since she was little, but now they would officially be her protectors and she would be able to see them every day. Not that they had not been protective of her when they were little, in fact they had always been extremely protective. - Flashback - "Serena if you keep running like that you will hit something. The garden has a lot of things to trip over." Minako yelled after Usagi. "Yea, you could trip and fall." Rei added as she picked up her skirts and ran after the Princess. As if on cue Usagi tripped and went sprawling straight into a large rock and knocking herself unconscious and getting a large cut on her forehead. Ami, the healer of the group, immediately rushed over to her and began to heal her wounds. Makoto went up to the rock and punched it, hard. As a result the rock cracked into several pieces. Makoto proceeded to pick them up one by one crushing them into dust. Nothing could live that hurt her Princess. Minako had just burst into tears and Rei was hounding Ami to see if there was anything she could possibly do to help. - End of Flashback - That had just been one of the many incidents. @--<--<--- The morning of the Princess's birthday dawned bright and the Princess was wide wake to enjoy it. "Mamochan, you should see this sunrise." she whispered to no one in particular. "I would like so much to speak to him right now, but I don't want to wake him, he does need his sleep after all. And my turbulent emotions probably kept him awake half the night anyhow." Usagi sighed. But, as usual, Mamoru already knew her need and as usual he responded to it. She could almost feel the warmth of his comfort as he asked groggily, "Usa, what is the matter? Today is your twelfth birthday, the day that marks you a young woman, I thought you would be so happy that you would be bouncing off the walls." she laughed softly at his remark. "Mamochan, you can always make me feel better. I am afraid though. My training is going to really start in earnest and I am not sure if I can do it. Everyone expects so much of me, I just am not sure if I can live up to their expectations." "My little Usa, you never change," Mamoru said, still waking up. "Should I?" Usagi questioned, a hint of sadness in her voice. "No! I love you this way, I would not have you any different for the world. You are always thinking of other people and never thinking of yourself. No one could ever be disappointed in you. All I meant by saying that you never change is that you are the same wonderful girl I met almost ten years ago." Mamoru finished lamely. Usagi smiled. She loved it when he tried to make her feel better for he always succeeded. Mamoru could feel the change in her attitude and the calming of her heart. He felt as if a great weight had been lifted off his shoulders. "Now Usa, I am going to give you your birthday gift. Close your eyes and concentrate on the picture I am going to place in your mind." Closing her eyes Usagi looked into her mind for what Mamoru had put there. As she began to focus, energy began to course through her, but not her own. She knew it immediately, it was his. She loved the feel of it; it felt so different from hers, like gold compared to silver. After a short while the energy stopped flowing, although she could still feel it tingling within her. She never really saw the picture he put into her mind. "Open your eyes now." Mamoru told her in a gentle voice. Opening her eyes she found a beautiful red rose before her. Gasping she gently reached out to touch it. "This rose will last as long as we remain close. It will remind you that I am always there for you." he told her. Usagi stroked the petals in awe. "Mamochan, it is beautiful! I have never seen a red rose before. They do not grow here, do they grow where you live?" "It is red?! I meant to send a white one. Whoops." "I am glad you did. It is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you ever so much. Well, I guess I should go down to breakfast. Talk to you later. Thank you ever so much for being there for me!" with that she took off running down to breakfast. @--<--<--- Mamoru sat in his room staring at the sun which was still low in the sky. Sighing he placed his head in his hands. 'A red rose. Why did it change to red? I sent a white rose. The gift was supposed to reflect how our friendship was pure and innocent. But it came out red. Why?' but he knew. It had been creeping up on him and he knew it. His roses reflected his feeling and red roses stand for undying love and passion just as white roses stand for innocent and pure love. He knew he loved her. But why? Why did he have to love her like this? He had always loved her, but it was supposed to be like a sister. She was apart of him, true, but he had known her, it seemed like forever. She was his best friend, and people were not supposed to fall in love with their best friends. That ruins friendships. But he had. He broke the rules and had fallen in love with her. She was now at the age that her mother would begin to look for a suitable husband for her and he could not bear the idea of that, some other man being able to hold her, some other man bringing a smile to her face. That was his job. But then he had never even really met her, just talked to her and of course knew her ever feeling and emotion, that was all. "Earth to Endy!" Jade's voice drifted into Mamoru's thoughts and he looked up. Jade was sitting in front of him waving his hand in front of his face. "Man, where have you been? The moon?" Mamoru smiled weakly. "So, Endy, what is the matter?" Mamoru could feel Jade reach out with his mind and cut him out. "That was a rather harsh way to stop me." Jade said frowning. "You always tell me everything, after all I am the guardian of your passion, so I have a right to know. If you don't tell me the bond might crush me!" Jade said with mock horror. "Jade, I know that you think I tell you everything, but I kept you from one of the most important things in my life. What I am about to tell you is to be kept VERY quiet. You are never to tell a soul and you must swear on the bond," Mamoru said quietly and very seriously. "O, I swear on the bond never to tell anyone about whatever it is that I am about to be told." Jade said the words in a flippant voice but he knew that if it was so important that Endymion would make him swear on the bond and had hid it form him so long, that it must be important and must be taken seriously. "It is a girl, huh?" Jade asked. "Yea, but not just any girl. She has this way about her, this aura of joy and happiness. Every one around adores her, and needless to say, so do I." "Well, what is her name? Who is she? What does she look like? Do I know her? Where does she live? How old is she?" Jade fired the questions at his Prince rapidly. "Well, to your first question her name is Usagi, at least that is what I call her. I don't know what her real name is. And to all your other questions the answer is that I don't know." Mamoru sighed. This one was going to be hard to explain. "So let me get this straight, you are in love with some girl, which is not surprising since you are sixteen, but some girl you have never actually met, and you are head over heals for her?" "That's about it." "But how? Is she some figment of your imagination?!" Jade asked exasperated. "No she is real. I seem to have some sort of connection to her. I can speak to her, feel her, know all her emotions and thoughts. When I was three I first felt her, and when I was seven I first spoke to her. I suppose that you have heard stories about how I was a rotten little boy and then all of a sudden just started smiling and no one knew why? Well, it was because of her. When I was little I felt like I was missing some part of myself and felt like I was empty on the inside. Then, one day, I felt a joy well up in the emptiness. Even as a three year old I was smart enough to know that the joy was not my own, after all I had no reason to be happy, but I felt a happiness nonetheless. This continued on and I felt like there was someone out there that was sharing my feelings and I thought that if I could feel their feelings they could probably feel mine, so I tried to be happy all the time. Finally one day I heard a gentle female voice call for help. I reached out and found the source. Not knowing her name I called her gentle one. I helped her with her problem and ever since then we have been great friends. At first neither of us thought to tell the other where we lived or anything. I decided never to broach the subject though because I did not want her to know I am a Prince, she might start to treat me differently. Somewhere over the years I started to fall in love with her and never realized it, and now I am hopelessly in love with her and don't even know what she looks like. But today is her twelfth birthday and I meant to give her a white rose, and it came out red" Mamoru finished his tale despondently. "You gave the girl a red rose?! Red roses are the symbol of undying, passionate love!!!" Jade nearly screamed. "I know" came the almost inaudible reply. "And you probably channelled your energy through her to create the rose and it was supposed to be white? And it came out red? Man you have got it BAD!" "I know. But I don't think that she knows what a red rose stands for. She is familiar with white roses and sees them all the time, in fact people compare her with the white rose, but she was surprised when the rose was red and said she had never seen one before." "So she doesn't even know what it means? This has got to be the funniest situation you have EVER gotten yourself into!" Jade began to laugh. Mamoru watched him as he fell off the bed and began to roll on the floor howling in later. A small smile began to curl on his lips. @--<--<--- Usagi put the rose in a small vase of water and set it on the table next to the bed. Smiling she reached out and touched it. She was sure it was the softest thing that she had ever felt. 'I wonder what the red rose stands for.' she thought. 'I heard that each colour of the rose means a different thing, so I wonder what red stands for.' "Princess Serenity, it is time to come down for breakfast, your mother desires your presence immediately." Molly smiled at the girl sitting on her bed. She did not see the rose, only the Princess's happy face. Standing Usagi responded, "Is it not a glorious day Molly? I feel so happy that I could just fly!" As always the Princess's joy was contagious and Molly's smiled widened. "It is a fitting day for your birthday your highness." "Oh Molly," Serenity said giggling. "How many times do I have to tell you, call me Serena, like all my friends do. I mean you have been my maid and friend since forever! But anyhow, did you not say that breakfast is ready?! Let's go!" With that Serena and Molly took off down the hall laughing the whole way. @--<--<--- Queen Serenity smiled as her daughter burst into the breakfast room. She was dressed in her usual, loose pants and shirt. 'At least she has put the sword in her dimensional pocket.' the Queen thought with relief. But despite the fact that she dressed differently than any other girl and learned all the things a prince learned as well as that of a princess, Princess Serenity promised to be an excellent ruler someday. She had an incredible gift of understanding and was always fair and just. Plus the people loved her. No one that had ever met her had disliked her, and she disliked no one. True she had never shown any special favour to any boys as her mother hoped she would, but she never showed any disliking either. But that would come soon enough, especially as she was now twelve. "Good morning mother! It is such a beautiful morning!" Usagi ran around the table to her mother and gave her a light kiss on the cheek and sat down next to her. "Serena, you are wearing pants," her mother chided gently. Serena laughed "Well, the ball is not until this evening and so I thought that I would wear them until I have to go get ready. Are Minako, Ami, Makoto, and Rei really going to be staying forever?! I mean they will miss their mothers and fathers, won't they?" Serena asked, concern begining filling her voice. "Serena, of course they will miss their parents, but they already know and are prepared for that fact. And their parents know that they can come and stay as long as they want anytime they want. Besides, your training requires it that you make a circuit of all the courts, so you will be visiting each of the kingdoms and staying at the palaces." "REALLY!!!" Serena screamed happily. "Have I ever lied to you?" the Queen asked, smiling at her daughters exuberance. "No, but this is just too good to be true! I will be able to see the other kingdoms healing techniques; I will get a chance to spar with the greatest masters, cook with the greatest chiefs, and the list goes on and on!" Serena could barely contain her delight. "Do not forget the reason that you are going." "Of course not! I have to see how the other kingdoms rule so that I can see the best and worst points of each government and make my kingdom the best it can possibly be." Usagi laughed as she spoke. 'And so that you will be exposed to more Princes that you could possibly wed.' Queen Serenity thought mentally adding to her daughters list. @--<--<-- Usagi's day flew by and soon she was in a dress standing by her mother's side in the ball room. She had had a lovely day and was looking forward to seeing her friends. The ball was underway and it was just a few minutes before her friends would be introduced and the oaths would be made. After that they were free to catchup with each other. She had not seen any of her friends for a year and a half as their parents had wanted to be able to complete the stage of the training they were in and spend as much time with them as possible. Needless to say the girls had a lot to say to each other. Usagi watched the announcer step up and hold up his scroll. The room fell to an excited hush and Serena waited impatiently, excitement mounting by the minute. 'Wonder what Mamochan thinks about my feelings right now' she wondered briefly. "Princess AinoMinako of Venus, head guard of the Princess Serenity's court" the announcer announced (tee hee, the announcer announced). Minako practically waltzed into the room looking every inch a princess. She wore the royal colours of her court and her long golden hair flowed down her back while her blue eyes twinkled in the light. Approaching the throne she dropped into a low curtsey and then turned toward the entrance as the next name was called. "Princess HinoRei of Mars, second in command." Rei walked elegantly into the room dressed in the Martian royal colour, deep, blood like red. She looked elegant with her black hair cascading down her back and purple eyes shining. She came up to the throne and curtseyed. "Princess KinoMakoto of Jupiter, third in command." A tall girl with fiery auburn hair came in the room and with her came a storm of excitement. Her green eyes seemed to demand that people have a good time. She also was dressed in her kingdoms royal colours and style. She curtseyed gracefully. "Princess MizunoAmi of Mercury, fourth in command." The girl that came in had deep blue hair and her whole body seemed to suggest a delicacy that few others had. She shyly glanced around the room as she approached the throne and then dropped into an elegant curtsy. "Princesses, you are welcome. You have traveled far to come and be apart of my daughters court and we are honoured to have you. You have been friends of my daughter for a long time and like daughters to me, and so it makes me very glad to know that you have come to stay with us. Princess AinoMinako, please step forward and present yourself to your Princess." Minako stepped forward towards Usagi. "Princess AinoMinako do you, on behalf of Venus, swear that you will protect the Princess Serenity at any cost, letting her life become your life, her needs yours?" "I do swear that I will protect the Princess Serenity at any cost. Her life is my life and her needs are my own. I do accept" "Lift your head" Minako lifted her head and looked straight into the eyes of the Princess. The Princess's crescent moon was already glowing on her forehead and on Minako's forehead the symbol of Venus began to glow. A beam of light connected the two symbols and Minako could feel herself filling with energy. Although she had already had special power because of being part of the royal line, only the guardian of the Moon Princess could receive the full power of her planet, and as it was known the power of Venus is the power of Love. The other girl's were much in the same fashion although according to their own respective planets and ranks. Minako's power was based off Love, Rei's off Fire, Makoto's off Thunder and Lightning, and Ami's off water. But even with the power of their planets backing them, none could claim to be half as powerful as the Princess of the Moon for she was more powerful than all of them combined. @--<--<--- End of Chapter 2.5 Well folks, that's all for now.
