Prince Endymion Strikes Back

          It was summer. Prince Endymion and his
mother, Queen Emily, left the Earth to visit the grand
presentation of the newborn Princess of the Moon. 
          By the time they got there, crowds of people
were outside the castle just to witness their newborn
princess. "Do you still have the present Endy?" Queen
Emily asked her son. "Yes mother" Endymion answered,
while searching his pocket. He let his hand out of his
pocket and showed his mother a gold necklace with a
rose pendant on it. His mother picked that one for him
since she know that her son loves roses and is sure
that the princess will love it. 
          "Presenting Queen Emily and Prince Endymion
of Earth" one of the guards announced as they both
entered the palace. Both of them went towards the
direction where the Royal Family of the Moon and other
rulers of the Solar System are to be found.
          Finally, it was the time for each of them to
present their gifts to the princess. Each of them went
to Princess Serenity's crib and give the gifts they
brought. Soon it was Endymion's turn. He went to the
crib and took a peek. There he saw the Princess
smiling at him and making funny noises. He smiled at
her and took her small hand and gave her a gold
necklace with a rose pendant. Meanwhile, Queen
Serenity and Queen Emily are talking about their
children. "Serenity, look!" Queen Emily said as she
pointed to her son beside Princess Serenity's crib "Oh
he's so cute playing with my daughter" Queen Serenity
replied as they watched Endymion as he make funny
faces which makes the princess giggle. "We can make a
plan for them to get closer, shall we? Every summer,
Endy will spend his vacation here. Is that okay with
you?" Queen Emily said with a smile "I think it is a
fantastic idea Emily." Queen Serenity replied with a
smile. 
          Prince Endymion never failed to spend his
summer vacation at the Moon. He went there since her
mother and Queen Serenity made their agreement twelve
years ago. Now, 16 year old Endymion is going back
there...not because he wants to but because of his
mother. "Mother! I don't want to spend my summer
vacation again with Serenity. She's a crybaby an-"
"and she needs a friend" his mother finished for him.
"But mother!" "No buts. You're going and it's final.
You should be acting like your age, not like a ten
year old. Now get dressed and we're leaving." Queen
Emily said, leaving her son in his room. "This is
going to be a loooong summer." he said to himself.
