Everyone on the Moon was celebrating there Princess's 14th birthday. Serenity looked around the ballroom in desperation. "Where is he?" She thought to herself, as she politely curtsied to the Queen of Illusion. "Sere!" Serenity searched through the crowd to see who called her name. "Sere, Sere!! Over Here!" Serenity looked once more before she saw a tall brunette waving her arms wildly. "Lita!" She called out as she pushed her way through the crowded dance floor. When she got close enough she saw three other girls. "Mina, Raye, Amy, Lita! You guy's came!" She cried out as she jumped into each of their arms. The four princesses' of the inner solar system gazed happily at their friend. They hadn't seen her in a long time. "Sere did you really think we would miss your 14th birthday." Lita said as she straightened out a wrinkle in her forest green dress. "Oh you guy's don't know how happy I am to see you." Serenity twirled around happily, Diamond now completely gone from her mind. Serenity spent the remainder of the party with her friends, gossiping and catching up on all the things they missed in the last year. After the party was over and all the girls had retired to their rooms, Serenity started to worry about her missing boyfriend. Serenity decided she would go see if he was in his room, when she was sure everyone was sleep. Later on that night Serenity dressed in a silk robe, tiptoed quietly out her room and down the long dark hall. When she reached Diamond's room she stared at the door before knocking on it gently. She knew that the doors were sound proof so she couldn't tell if he heard her or not. Curious to know if he was in the room, she turned the knob to find the door unlocked. Serenity carefully walked into the dark room, it took a while for her eyes to adjust to the sudden change. She looked around the room trying to see if Diamond was in bed or in his bathroom when she saw the most horrible sight. There Diamond lay in his canopy bed with his arms around a girl Serenity did not recognize. The light from the lamp on his bedside table shined lightly down upon his sleeping face. Tears filled Serenity's eyes as she let out a sob that reached Diamonds ears, and woke him up immediately. Diamonds eyes fluttered opened, the first thing he saw was Serenity standing in front of his bed in nothing but a robe. He looked at Serenity with guilt in his eyes, but he was the reason those tears were falling down her face now. It pained him to see her cry but he couldn't do anything about it. He thought to himself angrily. Suddenly Diamond felt Sarah move beside him. Diamond yelled in his mind, but it was useless. "Baby?" Sarah's soft voice called out to him. That was it Serenity couldn't take anymore. She ran out the room leaving a shocked Sarah and a pissed Diamond lying in bed together. Diamond didn't have the heart to go after her; a little part in her mind knew that he would never she her again. "Diamond, what was she doing in here?" Sarah pulled on Diamond's bare arm. Diamond glanced at her in anger, he sighed and let himself calm down. "No reason, she'll be fine, just go back to sleep." He took Sarah in his arms and laid her down. Was the last thought in Diamond's mind as he drifted back of to a restless sleep. Serenity ran blindly out the palace, the betrayal of her first love cutting through her heart like a silver bullet. She didn't know where she was and she didn't care. All she wanted to do was get far away from the palace as possible. After running for what seemed like hours, Serenity finally stopped and noticed that she had no clue where she was. She looked around and knew immediately that she was in the forest behind the palace. Serenity spent most of her childhood in this forest, so she knew the place by heart. Serenity thought as she walked helplessly around. "Well I guess I should stay here until the sun comes up." Serenity spoke out loud. "I just hope mother won't find me missing from bed." Serenity sat down on the grass, it was really chilly and she had nothing but her skimpy robe on. The wind didn't seem to bother her as she began to ask herself a million questions at once. "Was I not beautiful enough for him?" She asked herself sadly. "Of course you are." A voice called from the trees. Serenity gasped. "Who's there?" She asked in a shaky voice. "Don't be alarmed dear girl, I won't harm you." the voice thought in her mind. The woman stepped out of the shadows with a evil smile on her face. Her long black dress flowed around her as she walked towards Serenity. "I think you and Diamond were never meant for one another." She said as she walked over to a dumbfounded Serenity. "He was so... stuffy." Serenity glanced at the women as she pushed her jet-black hair out of her face. Serenity thought carefully. "Don't worry about how I know you. You should be worried about getting revenge on Diamond." Serenity looked at the lady in wonder. "Oh look at me, talking about all your problems and I never even introduced myself to you." the lady curtsied to Serenity. "My name is Morgana Night, I am here to grant you your wish Serenity." Serenity's eyes widened. "My wish? I never.." "Sure you have, you asked for this wish all the time." Morgana interrupted Serenity. "You wished to get away from here." Serenity gasped It was true she wished so many times to leave the moon and all her responsibilities of a princess behind, but how did Morgana know that. Serenity looked at Morgana skeptically "Serenity?" Morgana interrupted Serenity's thoughts for the second time that night. "Where in this universe do you want to be, other than the Moon?" Serenity thought for a minute. She had already been to every planet in the Silver Alliance. Looking up to the sky in frustration a beautiful green a blue sphere caught Serenity's attention. "The Earth." She whispered. "I have never been there, becuase it is forbidden." Morgana glanced at the Earth a smiled evilly, she quickly wiped the smile off her face when Serenity looked at her. "Serenity if you go to Earth you don't have to worry about the harsh responsibilities of being a princess." Morgana told Serenity as she placed a friendly smile on her face. "You could start over, a new and better life." Serenity was confused, she loved her life and her family and friends, But there were times when she couldn't stand having the title of princess by her name. "What about my friends and my family?" Serenity asked worry etched deep in her voice. "What about them? Believe me Serenity your family won't miss you, and your friends will go on with their lives." Serenity couldn't believe Morgana was telling her this, here she had a chance in a life time to get away from everybody and everything and she was sitting here confused. Serenity thought to herself. "Trust me Serenity this will be the greatest decision you will ever make." Morgana looked in to Serenitys eyes. Serenity shivered. Serenity sighed and looked away from Morgana. Suddenly images of Diamond in the arms of another woman flashed through her mind. Before she could think about it anymore she blurted out yes. Morgana's eyes brightened. "You will? That's wonderful!" She jumped to her feet. "We must get started before the sun comes up." Morgana pulled Serenity to her feet and lead her deeper into the forest. She stopped in the middle of a clearing and tightened her grip on Serenity's hand. Serenity did have any clue what Morgana was doing, and she didn't ask. Morgana closed her eyes and began to chant in a strange language. A bright light surrounded them and Serenity began to have second thoughts about going to Earth, but it was to late. She could feel her body being torn from existence. She cried out in fear and pain as Morgana's evil laughter filled the air. "Bye bye little princess." Was the last thing Serenity heard before the darkness closed in on her. ~*~**~*~ I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of my story.
