Chapter Two

	Hi! Here's the next part. Anybody guess what they did when they got in the palace?. .CORRECT! they played a energetic game of gold fish! So lets see who won ne? E-mail me!

Disclaimer:  I don't own Sailor Moon, or the game of gold fish. But  I do *own* gold fishes. .the tank is sorta green now. .think that's bad? And there eating off the gravel on the floor..... hmmm I'll feed them later.

	Endymion stirred in his sleep when he felt the moon's light fall on his eyes. But then he realized the moonlight was coming from the wrong side of the room and there was unfamiliar warmth lying in his arms. 
     Unconsciously moving closer to the source of the warmth he inhaled the strong scent of cherry blossoms. His curiosity beating his drowsiness Endymion opened his eyes to see who exactly was in his bed.
                              Looking  round he found the moonlight was actually the light coming from his home earth and glancing beside him was the goddess of the moon he was on , the events of the past night came back to him full force.
    Lying next to him was the beautiful maid he saw at the party. 'Usako' his mind whispered. 
Her silver hair spread around them  and her body pressed to his covered by the white sheets wrapped around them.
     Remembering the night they shared together, Endymion couldn't help but feel guilty for taking her virginity away from her. Recalling the innocence in her eyes, he felt like a bastard for using her trust in him to take her so quickly.  His lust had over powered him.(AN: I guess they weren't playing goldfish...)
               But still with in the guilt there was still a twinge of happiness to know that he was her first. .'and her only' his heart added.       Endymion shook his head confused by his thoughts. 
           Why all of a sudden so possessive.  Usagi was just another one of his women. 'No she's not, she's special' his heart once again reminded him.
    But he wouldn't accept it. . He had  been to bed with much more sophisticated and experienced women. And none of them mattered. Ever. And this one doesn't matter either he stated to him self reassuringly 
                'Of course she doesn't matter. And that's why you keep hearing her sweet voice in you head. And even though you've been with others, this one. Usako is the only one to confuse you so much' 
          Still in denial Endymion slowly separated him self from Usagi's embrace and pulling the covers around her body.   "Mamo-chan" he heard her murmur and then snuggle deeper into the pillow once again falling into a deep sleep.     Smiling down at her he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and took his boxers that were thrown carelessly on the ground and put them in there proper place. (AN: Did they have boxers back then? Lets say they did, I don't think Tie the loincloth back on sounded proper)
                       'You see, you would have never shown that for anybody else. Admit it.' his heart taunted him.   
       It's just the proper thing to do, I didn't want her to get cold.
            'And since when did you ever care? You've always been cold to the women who warm your bed.'
 Endymion hung his head in defeat. It was true. He never cared. Never. But Usako.  God Usako was so different, so special. But what can I do for her? She lives on the moon and I'm going to have to go to earth soon.
                 Why did I have to start falling for a girl now?!    They were leaving any day now and he couldn't just very well forget her. But they had only shared one night of passion, he barely even knew her.  Even though something deep inside of him was nagging at him. Yelling at him. Saying that it didn't matter.
     Lights in the distance disturbed Endymion from his thoughts.
I guess the negotiations didn't go well with the Nega-moon. he thought sadly.
           It was such a pity that such a beautiful planet was going to be destroyed. His thoughts were negative but it was true. The Nega-forces were much too strong to defeat. Even with the famous crystal the queen possessed. It need strength to control it, and from what Endymion heard the Queen was in no condition. And Earth had come to late to really have an affect.  
                            But then a panic filled his heart. 
What would happen to Usako? If the nega-verse took over she would be enslaved, tortured or ki-- 
      A large explosion  erupted from the distance making the palace shake from it's powerful force.
            "Mamo-chan!" a hysterical voice called out from his bed. Endymion was quickly by Usagi's side comforting her.
                  "What was that?" she asked worry evident in her eyes.
"It seems the war is continuing. The negotiations wasn't a success" he told her seeing the fear in her eyes.
       'Oh no mother. She said she would end the war!' Serenity thought in despair, tears cursing there way down her cheeks.
             "Shhhhh, it's okay. Please don't cry. It breaks my heart to see you cry" Endymion said gently, but realized that the statement was all too true. To see her cry was tearing his heart out. She didn't deserve this. Not someone like her. Why did she have to be here of all places.
    Serenity buried her face in his shoulder listening to his soft voice trying to soothe her. Even with  the was raging outside she felt so safe in his arms. Nothing mattered, her family and friends. All Serenity saw was Mamoru.
                      And that was what frightened her.  She was the princess of her planet. It was duty before love. Love? They only spent one night together and she was already thinking about that word. But did what they share really consist of love? She shivered at the thought that it meant nothing to him.  
               Serenity looked up and saw into Mamoru's deep blue eyes. They were so beautiful and held such feeling.  'Oh god she hoped it was love' because at that moment Serenity was positive she was falling for him.
     "Don't worry Usako, I won't let anything hurt you" he said lowering his head to hers to give her another kiss.
The mood was ruined when another loud explosion went off in the distance, which caused Serenity to jump deeper into Mamoru's embrace.
             Serenity realized that some one would probably be sent to her room to make sure she was okay. And if she was correct it would probably one of the scouts.
    Serenity turned to Mamoru with regret in her voice "I really have to get going now. My lady must be worried"
Endymion looked disappointed, after spending the whole night with her he didn't want to let go of the beauty beside him just yet.
                      "She won't notice. Stay just a little bit longer then you can go" he said husky next to her ear causing her to shiver. She was still only wrapped in a blanket and with his warm body close to hers it was having a dizzying effect.
      "Just a little while longer" she said coming closer to his lips.
           He smiled and once again caught up in the heaven he felt when they were together. (An: waffy ne?)

              "Okay Mamo-chan, I do really have to go now" Serenity giggled as Mamoru once again stopped her from leaving.
     Serenity's back was against the door while Mamoru was pressed against her stopping her from moving through the door.
       		"A little longer" he said against her lips.
"You said that an hour ago, and the hour before that" she complained with a pout on her lips.
                "So then you won't mind staying another hour" he answered trying to move her away from the door.
    "I wouldn't mind honestly Mamo-chan, but my lady is probably frantic by now. The sun is already rising." she pointed out.
         "Well, that's good for the sun isn't it?"he said arrogantly.
"Mamo-chan" she said warningly, she would have gladly went back to bed but the scouts would have been searching for her and when her mother found out she wouldn't be able to see him again.
		Endymion gave a heavy sigh moving slightly away from her.  
"Meet me in the gardens tonight?" he asked her while she was almost out of the door.
               If the others found out she was going to see a stranger she just meet yesterday *again* they would kill her, looking at Mamoru she asked her self if he was worth the risk.
        "Of course" she said smiling and gave her one last lingering kiss before she stepped out of her room and into the dark halls making her way

	Serenity quietly entered her room closing the door soundlessly. She was lucky none on the guards noticed her and hopefully the senshi's didn't notice her missing either.
      "And where exactly were you?" a cold voice came from a corner from her room.
Surprised Serenity turned around to see who it was. The figure came out of the shadows and reveled a girl with long blonde hair and an orange fuku her blue eyes filled with anger.
	"Venus! You almost gave me a heart attack!" Serenity said moving further in her room hoping that she wasn't *that* upset with her. 
                         " *I* almost gave *you* a heart attack!? My god Serenity I've had the others looking for you all night! Do you know what your mother would have done if she knew about this?!" Mina scolded waving her hands and walking around the room.
	Serenity cringed, okay so she was that mad. 
"Well, why were you looking for me anyway? Is there a problem?" she asked trying to divert the attention away from her
        "If you would have been here, you would know that the war has started again. Your mother wanted us to make sure you were okay. God knows that what she would have done  if she knew that when we got to your room we found that you haven't even slept in your bed" she continued in her pacing of the room.
     	"The others. There not all mad are they?" Serenity asked her voice quite. She felt guilty for making them all worried about her. 
     "Mad. Isn't exactly the word to call it. Rei nearly exploded let me tell you that" 
Serenity cringed again. The senshi of mars was always a hot head, and she would have a lot of explaining to do with Rei, compared to her Mina's scolding was nothing.
		"But.  Your here now. Your safe. And we'll just dump some water on Rei to cool her down" her  voice still stern but with an edge of humor.
	"Now go change into your night dress, I'll notify the others your back"
Serenity nodded glad Mina wasn't upset anymore but also worried that Mina noticed how she was dressed in a maid uniform. She would be answering a lot of questions.
		Doing as she was told Serenity waited  for the arrival of her other guardians.
She knew they came in when she could hear Rei practically yelling something that Serenity couldn't make out to one of the other senshi.
	        "Calm down Rei you'll wake up the whole castle" reasoned Lita trying to calm down her friend
       "I'll calm down when I get my hands on Serenity and find out what exactly she was doing roaming the castle at night unguarded!" Rei said her voice never lowering.
	Serenity gulped she could practically see the steam raising from Mar's head.
"You should listen to Lita, I'm sure Serenity has a reasonable explanation for her disappearance" Ami said. 
            'Oh Ami, always the trusting one of the group. I don't think the reason. I went to see a man I just meet and just happen to spend the night with him would have gone over well with them. ' Serenity thought, trying to come up with another reason other then the truth.
	"Well I'm waiting" Rei said now standing in front of Serenity with her arms  on her hips.
	       Serenity looked at Mina for help but all she got was a shrug. She was alone on this one.
     "Well, you see. The explosions woke me up. And I decided to see if everybody else was okay. I was just worried" she finished give them her 'innocent' look. 
               It wasn't a total lie. The explosions did wake her up, she just didn't mention that it wasn't in her own bed.
                     "Then why  did your bed look untouched?" Ami asked. 'She was the smart one too' Serenity thought was a sigh.
           "I fixed it before I left?" she knew it was weak. Looking at the unbelieving stares she received Serenity hung her head. She was in deep trouble.
		Mina stepped forward and took a closer look at Serenity. She didn't notice anything before but now.
                     "Did anything happened tonight Sere?" she asked.
Serenity looked startled for a minute and gave a nervous replay "Of course not Mina! Don't be silly"
	"Why would you ask that Mina?" That tall brunette in the green fuku asked.
"No, it's just. I sense something. I see a glow around you" Mina said looking closer then shaking her head. "Never mind. It's late. Let's leave now let Serenity get some rest" she said saying the last sentence like an order.
       "Don't think your off the hook yet. When I've had my rest we'll talk again tomorrow" Rei said warningly.
                           "Oh leave the poor girl alone Mars, she's alive and that's all that matters"
"She's alive now but if she--" her ranting was stopped my Mercury
         "Tomorrow Mars, we need out sleep" she said pulling Mars towards the door. "Good night Serenity" and the three senshi's exited the room, leaving Mina behind.
               "Why are you looking at me like that Mina? Your not still mad are you?" Serenity questioned her, confused as to why she didn't leave with the others.
		   "You can't hide these things from me Sere. It's my job to know these things."
               Serenity understood at to what she was implying. "I thought I  could at least try to hide it" she replied.
 	       "Do you regret it?" she asked her tone serious.
"No. It was wonderful. I felt so complete when I was with him. He's special Mina-chan I can feel it. Here" she said her voice dreamy and her hands placed on her heart.
	" Your special too Sere. Make sure he knows that. If he hurts you tell me. I'll take care of him" Venus said saying the last sentence lightly but still absolutely serious. Nobody hurt Serenity if she could help it. 
		She felt a sort of anger towards the man who took her innocence away. She was still young and not experience with things of that sort, while he on the other had probably didn't think about that. Still, she was thank full towards the man also. Serenity ws so happy practically glowing. She was so depressed over the war and to see her smile again would  make  every body's heart lighter. But if ever he turned away from Serenity and was careless with her heart, Mina and the others would in no doubt make sure he paid the price for taking her smile away again.
             "He would never do that Mina. I know it. He feels the same way. I saw it in her eyes" Serenity continued. Her eyes filled with so much warmth and happiness.
		"I'm happy for you Sere. But. It's still late and you still need your sleep. I'll see you tomorrow princess. Good night." and bowed slightly showing her respect and stepped out of her room leaving Serenity to dream about Mamoru.

	When Venus closed the door to Serenity's room. Someone was waiting for her.
"Did you tell her about her mother?" the voice asked.
		"Oh! Rei you scared me! Don't' do that!" Mina  exclaimed.
	"I'm sorry. But. Did you tell Serenity what happened to the Queen. She needs to know" Rei repeated.
"I know she needs to know!" Mina snapped at Rei. 
		"But. I didn't tell her" she said quietly.
"Why not? This isn't some game anymore Mina! She needs to take her duty much more seriously. Her mother isn't going to last long. Soon Mina. Soon she'll need to grow up. No more sheltered protected princess. We all want her to stay the way she is. But for the sake of her kingdom she needs to know what she's up against." 
	"Don't you think I already know that?! I just couldn't! I looked into her eyes. Didn't you see it?! She looked so happy. She's in her own perfect world right now. Not even the war is touching her. If I told her the news her mother is dying it'll all crash down. I don't want to do that."
		"You have too" Rei repeated.
"Give her one night. Let her be happy for one more night."

	That ended in a sad note. And because I'm not usually a sad person I have made this for all you sad people. To make not sad.
	 =I     LOL! I *love* that face. Doesn't he look like his mouth is full of marshmallows? . . .. -_-  well it cheers *me* up every time. But still! E-mail the crazy girl! me! MoonBunnie56@aol.com! please? please? . .okay. .done begging. .
