-Matrix Knowledge-

-The name of the book Neo hides the $2000 in.
The book is Simulacra and Simulation, written by Jean Baudrillard, and is considered his first important step towards theorizing postmodernism. The section that Neo specifically places the cash in is a chapter entitled "On Nihilism". Undying Matrix Fan elucidates that Nihilism is (1) an extreme form of skepticism that denies all existence and (2) The belief that the destruction of existing political or social institutions is necessary for future improvement.

-The Fighting.
Some of the fighting programs Neo learns are listed as Savate, Jujitsu, Kempo, Drunken Boxing, and Kung Fu. Neo sits through ten hours of training to learn the aforementioned and more. Tank loads the programs using "Drive D". The actors spent 5 months, 8 hours a day in martial arts training.

-The name of the hotel Trinity first appears in.
The hotel is called the "Heart O' the City Hotel" and features "hourly rates" and "free tv." Trinity specifically first appears in Room 303. Funnily enough, the room where Neo is heading into just before being shot and realizing he is "the one" is in the same hotel, and the same room.

-In Translation.
In the Italian version of The Matrix, at least these lines were mistranslated: "...and that's why chicken tastes like everything" translated into "...and actually today many things taste like chicken". Furthermore, after Neo takes the pill, Cypher tells him something about Dorothy and "Say bye bye to Kansas" but in Italy it sounds like "Hold on strong Alice, that at this moment you will see nice things" (Ed. I suppose this would be related to the "Alice in Wonderland" theme).

In the French version of The Matrix, several lines were mistranslated: "Men have fired entire clips into them and hit nothing but air" translated into "Men have fired entire clips into them and they felt nothing"; "Are you telling me I can dodge bullets / When you're ready, you won't need to." translated into "... / When you're ready, you wont feel them."; and "...and that's why chicken tastes like everything." translated into "...and that's why chicken tastes disgusting." Ptz reports that in the German translation, when Trinity shoots the Agent, dodge thiswas terribly translated to nur ein agent what would be just an agent in English.
