The One Ring.Net (TORN) The premiere site for movie news and anything Middle Earth. Includes fan sections and a small, but excellent fan fiction section located in Green Books.
The Fellowship.nl In Dutch. Movie and Tolkien info. Lots of message boards. The cartoon strip archive is a gem (and is also in English, as is the message board associated with it).
The Barrow Downs Fan site with lots of info, games, quizzes, crosswords, and a huge fan-fiction section.
Lord of the Rings Plaza An online community of Tolkien fans. Members can join in discussions about any topic related to the books or movies. There is also a forum for fan fiction.
Fan Fiction.net An online database of fan fiction from any genre you could possibly think of. The quality of the stories varies, but there are hidden gems that are waiting to be found. Of special interest to me is the Silmarillion section, which contains treasures from Lipstick, Ithilwen, Finch and many others.
Henneth Annun An online database of Tolkien fan fiction. The quality of the stories is very high, and there are regulations as to what is acceptable on the site. Members can submit and review stories, as well as participate in discussions.
