This Page is about. . . .those inevitable leftover parts. |
It's interesting to note that when you try to save money by doing a project yourself, it sort-of appears that you spend more then necessary as there are almost always those left over parts. Which is why I am able to show the following examples as proof of such a simple theory. |

Example #2 is the extra -87 2WD auto that the previous owner "Was going to get-around-to-installing" one of these days in what is now my daily driver GL-10 turbo, with the D/R 5spd. |

Example #4 mileage from 86 GL is 149696.3 and the engine bay should be in the index below as well as all the example thumbs in full-size. During road-trips to Michigan it would use 1 to 3 quarts depending on how often I drive above 4200RPMs = 80 MPH+ (which is usually 16 to 18.5 hours straight through) |

Example #1 is a 1.8L carb'd engine out of a car I scrapped back in 98 summer and has been up in Michigan storage at Gramma's house; until 3 weeks ago, when I brought IT and the 4WD MT that is either a 4 or 5 speed out of an 88 hatchback or sedan. |

Example #3 is the rear end from the daily driver used-to-be-auto-4WD as the D/R is a 3.900 |

Example #4.5 this is the engine thumbnail shot (note 1/2 shafts are just over a year old, starter is in the rear cargo area BTW). |

Example #5 The GL Blue fabric Drivers seat; here with a windowtint and building shadow shading. Sorry but this is the best angle I could get. |

Example #6, 7, and 8 are the left, right and rear images of the 86 GL. The rear shown with tailgate open to see the 88 4WD D/R (either 4 or 5 spd, I don't know), a flywheel and pressureplate for this tranny, a severely overheated 87 EA82T (which was from the previous owner of my daily driver) with a good torque converter still attached to engine, and its intake system in sitting between tranny and engineblock. |
