This year, there were only two teams at Esquimalt High School which actively participated in league play against other schools: Midget Boys and Senior Girls.
The Midget Boys team was coached by Mr. Tauson, Vince Greensil, and Jeff Eden. Their volleyball team had a very successful season. The team finished well above 500 in the win-loss and was third in the cities.
They would like to thank the three coaches and Glen Sorboe. Without their help, the season would not have been possible. Big thanks also go out to all the players as well as all the parents that helped out. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks for a tremendous year.
The Senior Girls team was led by Mrs. Fortier and Mr. Johnson. They participated in league play with all possible schools in the district and came in 8th out of 16 teams. They were 2nd in the "AAA" league for the city playoffs and 5th in the island playoffs.
They had an enjoyable season with tournaments in Victoria, Nanaimo, and Saltspring Island. We wish good luck to the grads - Teri, Jessica, Rhi, Andrea, Joanna, and Julie.
