A temporary home found at very short notice, nevertheless a second team was entered into the league during our stay and we started to recruit players from the locality including the scouts who had a team in the junior league.
It was at this time that the junior league was just being set up and we became the club that many of these young players moved to when they were ready to step up.
The second team was made up mainly of junior players and I remember the first match we played in the league at Blessed Sacrament when I was partnering a new member whom I had not met previously. She asked me how old I was and when I replied 20 she said 'Oh you are old'.
