Welcome
Welcome to my blog, I just started it, so there's not too much yet, but there will be soon! Yes, very soon!
Basically, this 'blog' as I call it is a collection of my mad fangirl ravings (which there are many of, might I add!) and whatever else my sugar-high self decides to talk about today!
Celebrate Good Times, Come on!

February 9, 2005
Do you know what today is? *long Pause* I'm sure you do, just think about it... *even longer pause*
Eh... In case you don't know, today has two special meanings. Today is the beginning of the Lunar New Year 2005, and today is also Ash Wednesday. Both mark very special beginnings.
The Year of The Rooster begins today, which means until next Chinese New Year all the babies will be born in the Year of the Rooster. All you Furuba fans out there should know how this works! ~_^
The Rooster is:
a hard worker
shrewd and definite in decision making
often speaks his/her mind
a dreamer
a flashy dresser
extremely extravagant

May seem:
boastful

Likely Careers:
restaurant owner
publicist
soldier
traveler.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, or the forty days until Palm Sunday. According to the Bible and Christian faith, these are the forty days that Jesus spent in the desert and its a time of reflection and penance.
You are urged to give up one of your favorite things, in order to feel a little bit of the suffering that Jesus felt. (Mothers always tell their children to give up candy or video games. XD )
What am I giving up? Well I haven't decided just yet, but I am resolving to read from the Bible more often.
Both of these events had me spending the day (in additon to school) going to church to recieve my ashes and creating paper lanterns with my baby brother. I must say, mine turned out a lot better then his... he's only two! ^_^

I have discovered an awesome site! Its called Beybites, and is a beyblade fansite that has lots of awesomely random beyblade junk! Really! Its the whole sites motto!
People who aren't fans of shounen ai probably won't enjoy most of the content on this site, but its not hentai or anything, just light fluff!
For people who do care about the pairings, the site is mainly Gianoli. (Giancarlo + Oliver), with a bit of Tyka, TysonXKenny, ReiXRay.
But its really awesome, and they are nearing their next kiriban!
And on top of that, Feb. 2 was the second Gianoli Anniversary! Yay, Gianoli!

Speaking of Beyblade, I want to tell you about an awesome peice of artwork I did. Its Hilary reading a valentine and blushing deeply, and was supposed to be my valentines poster/gift on Glittering Snodrops, but my scanners not working... sob... Anyhoo, I used my new Neopiko markers to color it, and it came out really well. These markers don't give pictures a normal effect ~ they almost look like they were painted with watercolors. Way cool, and I'd recommend them to any artist!
Now, I'm talking too much, so I'll just list some up coming events:
Valentine's Day, Feb. 14 Girls, its time to get a gift for that special someone, and don't forget the giri choco either! Don't have a sweetie? Spend some time with your other 'single' girl friends, watching movies and making fun of guys, or if your fangirls, celebrate with a night of your favorite bishies! No one should be alone today!
Besides, the guys pay us back next month on white day!

Manga, Manga, Manga!

Today is my Daddy's Birthday, so Happy Birthday Dad!

My birthday was a few weeks ago, so for my birthday, my parents bought me the Mummy and the Mummy Returns! Those are like two of my all-time favorite movies, so I was ecstatic. They also got me MIB 2. YAY!
My Nii-chan gave me two volumes of one of my favorite mangas, Dragon Knights. Its really funny and hilarious. My favorite character is our half-Yokai, Demon Hunter, Bishie, Rath! XD
I love that guy... but I can relate more to Thatz, because I like shineys...but I won't steal though! Can I help it if gold is one of my favorite colors? ^_^
Its a really awesome manga though, even if it isn't the most popular. If you like Fantasy/Humor, then this is for you! I would recommend it to manga fans of all ages, even if it is rated T-13. It is only rated for violence, and in this modern day and age I think kids have seen much more violence in various video games. Its your choice, though.
I am reading an online manga called "Forced Alliance". Its pretty funny, but I'm only on chapter 2 out of like 20, so I don't know too much about it yet. Here's the link:
Forced Alliance On a sadder note, one of my wallpapers was taken down from deviantart because of "Policy violation" or something.. O.o I thought it was kinda cool. It had pictures of various bishies, and the caption was "I shall call him Bishie, and he shall be mine, for he is my bishie!"

Well, I gtg now, but I hope all of you who read this have a great day!

I Believe in the Morning Light

January 31, 2005
Ahh, Yesterday was my older brother's birthday. Happy Birthday Nii-chan!
Now that that is out of the way...

I was thinking about how some people are pessimistic, and others are optimistic. And in my opinion, the optimists have the better deal! There was one time when I thought it was 'cool' to be dark and moody, but I see now that it was the wrong thing for me. I didn't smile or laugh, and I only wore dark clothing. I was rather depressing.
But now, even though I still wear colors that are on the darker side, I get out there and enjoy life to the fullest. Like one of the guest speakers at my youth rally the other day said, "Frog. It means 'fully rely on God.' Do everything you can to the fullest extent, and God will do the rest for you."
Now. there was a lot more to that speech, but this grabbed me and I made a descision. I, Electric Fire, was going to live life to the fullest extent. and that meant that I was going to live for the day, and do everything to the greatest of my capabilities.
Yeppers, no more darkness for me! I've seen the light ~ and it involves lots of sugar, anime, and hyperness! I am fully charged up and ready to go!
