This is one of Bowie's best albums, in my humble opinion. When my friend first bought it, before I discovered the wonder that is Bowie, I thought how strange and frightenening it was. Then I listened to it. Now I adore it. Its amazing! And the musicianship is fantastic. Its a bit scary but it's supposed to be. All ths actual songs are brilliant, and the segues really freak me out, especially Basby Grace. ooo frightening. Tehn it explodes into Hello Space boy. I wish I could write something like that. The best I dan do is 2 normal chords a bar. Well I am only 16, bowie was crap when he was 16. No, Bowie was never crap. Actually Aged Papeir are rather good. Thats my folk rock group. The e in Aged has an accute accent, like french, but this thing doesn't like using them

So, my favourite song on the album is Strangers When We Meet, which, just out of interest, also features on the 1993 album "The Buddha of Suburbia." (read the book, there are a couple of really nice compliments to Mr Bowie.) I know it is the popiest song on there, but it's one of those songs which sort of creep inside you. The bass line is a bit like the one on "V-2 Schneidr" from "Heroes," but who cares really, with a song as good as that. Its not as if musicians don't nick most of their ideas from somewhere else anyway, and at least Bowie nicked it from himself really.

One of the best things about Bowie is the musicians he puts in his band. Above is a picture of the great man with his current bassist, Gail-Ann Dorsey. She's really cool, and a fantastic bass player. She joined the group during the Outside Tour, though she didn't play on that album. He does seem to molest her a bit while onstage, but he did that to Mick Ronson (the fantastic guitarist from Ziggy and the spiders from Mars.) (Well we never really knew his sexuality for deffinate.) Another fantastic musician he works with a lot is Mike Garson, the pianist, (becareful when saying that word). Now he is amazing. Probably best known for his work on Aladdin Sane (who could forget that? Wow!!) He has played on lots of Bowie albums since, and was actually at party in the park this year (2001) where he played with some person (my memory isn't that great.I can only remember really pointless infomation.))
Outside is about the art-ritual murder of Baby Grace Blue, a fourteen year old girl. The album cover is probably the most disturbing part of the album, featuring Bowie dressed up as many of the characters, including Baby Grace, and Ramona A.Stone. Now that is disturbing. And they banned the cover of The man who sold the world because he was wearing a dress. mmm. Anyway, the cover contains the diaries of Nathan Aldler, the detective on the case. It is in the way Bowie often writes: it sounds very good, but it's not exactly understandable. He talks a lot of nonsence, and the only conclusion that he comes to is that Ramona was Baby Grace's mother, or could be, you know. Well, if you haven't bought the album, I suggest you do, but you can't buy it here because I'm just a member of the public, with a strange idea that maybe someone other than Charlotte and Vicky might visit my website, even though it isn't on any search engines (or at least if it is I didn't know) and I'm certainly not telling any of my other friends about it! 'cept possibly Ann, she's nice, but it's not as if anyone other than charlotte or vicky know who ann is. You don't even know who choz and vick are - well they are otherwise known as Carol and Collette respectively, but that story can't go up untill choz sends it all to me anyway. OK, I'll shut up now and do something use ful, like find some pics that can go up. I do have them but they're not somethingorothers so it won't let me upload them. Anyway, go look around some more!! NOW!! or ill set Jaden on you (with Spidergirls permission of course)
