She sat on the park bench, not waiting but thinking.  Children ran around playing football and picking on each other, but she didnt know any of them.  She was a very intelligent person, and knew some very interesting things, but no one was taking any notice.
One wouldnt have been able to tell by looking just how much he wanted her.
He looked normal, in his dark coat, black trousers, and plain shoes.  Of course, from a distance one doesnt notice the material of a mans trousers.
     These were leather.
As she listened to her music and thought her thoughts of life and death, he walked slowly around the park.  He was not regarded greatly by people.  The mothers were too busy talking and the children too busy playing.  There were surprisingly few fathers about for a Saturday, probably all at home watching the football, like her father.  He watched her quietly from afar.  There was no point in scaring her, he would let her notice him in her own time, and play it at her pace.
The day would come when she would crave him.

She went home in her own time, strolling casually along the pavement, head bobbing slightly in time to U2s Elevation, which she played at a moderate volume through discreet headphones.  She crossed the road discreetly upon seeing a group of kids of her age drinking and smoking pot.  She wasnt the sort of person to take their nonsense for anything except nonsense.  She didnt care what people like that thought, if they thought.  But she didnt want to get hurt.
A new fic.  Name anyone?
