Once Michelle had put Dominic to bed, she lingered in his doorway, unwilling to return to her own room.  She watched him sleep for a while, and then looked up and down the corridor.  Jareth was waiting outside her door.
Michelle, he said, I want to show you something.
She was a little scared, but she took the arm that he offered.  He took her down the stairs, and through a wide corridor she had never bothered going down before.  The floor was carpeted, and the walls lined with paintings.  At the end of the passage was a large pair of double doors, ornately carved, and made of thick wood.  Jareth opened them both, and led her through.
The room was huge.  The ceiling was very high.  It was lit by enormous chandeliers, which sparkled like stars.  It was completely empty apart from the two of them, but Michelle could hear music, which came from everywhere at once, but no where at all.  It was beautiful.
Would you like to dance, fair maiden?
Jareth bowed low, and looked up waiting for her response.
I thought you hated me, she said.
He shook his head.  She smiled.
     Id love to, she said.
He took her hand, and led her to the middle of the room.  She put her arms around his neck, and he put his around her waist, and they danced.  Neither wanted to stop so they didnt.  They danced for hours, close to each other, happy in each others arms.  At some stage Michelle lifted her head and kissed Jareth, who happily responded.
After a long time they both went to bed in their separate rooms and dreamt of each other.

Michelle and Pascal sat side by side on a stone wall near the edge of the labyrinth.  The air seemed to shine this morning, and Jareth and Dominic were playing catch with some goblins and laughter rang about the whole city.
Michelle told Pascal everything about the night before.  Pascal grinned throughout, and couldnt help noticing how Michelle and Jareth kept looking at each other, but away quickly, like a pair of teenagers.  When Michelle had finished she did a mock-disappointed look and said, So you still dont know if its a sock?
Pascal! Michelle scolded her, going slightly red, and sneaking another look at Jareth.
You have to tell me when you find out, you know!
I think Ill just keep you guessing, much more fun.
They giggled, and both looked at Jareth, who looked back suspicious.
Do you want to play tag? Michelle asked.
     Ok, said Pascal.
Tag, said Michelle and ran off.  Pascals it! she shouted, and the crowd scattered, Jareth and Michelle in the same direction.  They hid behind a wall again, and held each other and kissed like kids behind the bike sheds.  Pascal found them.
     Hello, she said.
     They both burst out laughing.
Mmm, I think Ill leave you to it, she said.
     Dominic ran up behind her.
     Whos it? he shouted.
I think Mummy and Daddy are a bit busy at the moment, Dom, she answered, so I guess its you!
She ran off, and Dominic ran after her.  Michelle lay back in Jareths arms and watched them.  Jareth kissed her hair and watched them too.  She turned around back to him.
     I love you, she said.
I love you, he said, and they kissed again, eyes closed and hearts pounding.
