One of Bowie's most Bowieish albums, he shows off a lot of the talents that he has, as he plays all the guitar parts, the moog, sax, keyboards and does all of the singing. He wrote all but one of the songs (When you rock and roll with me), which he co-wrote. It was released in 1974, and he is bloody thin in all footage to do with the album, even thinner than he usually is. The cover of the album is kind of disturbing, featuring him looking like a dog. Mmm, not very attractive. The music itself though is very sexy.

Why is it so sexy I pretend someone asks, because he is so sexy, and he does everything. Most of the sexyness ocmes from "Sweet thing," which turns into "Candidate," which turns into "Sweet thing reprise," which turns into "Rebel Rebel." I mean WOW!!!! VERY SEXY!! It has been described as an orgasm. Or something. Other people are more clued up on stuff like that than me. Including Charlotte apparently. Mmmm, the virgin Charlotte, how does she know about things like that? It's just the big build up, mainly in Candidate. Lyrical interpetations are a bit odd on this point. I think we all agree that " who press you on the ground while shaking in fright" is a reference to rape, but only Bowie knows what quite a lot of the rest of it means, or if it means anything. There's a shop on the corner selling Papier Mache, selling bullet proof faces etc etc is a bit confusing. But I just sing along anyway. It is incredibly sexy!

Wow I didn't know there would be this much space to fill up, I mean talk rubbish in, I mean wow, I have so much space in which to communicate my feelings of sheer wonderment, awe, and respect in. So, I've run out of pictures, + I dont really know what else to say. Oooo I know: The impressive thing about this album is Bowie's interesting songs about george orwell's 1984, in we r the dead, 1984, and big brother. Yes despite popular belief he does have a brain, and can read!! sorry that was uncalled for, all of his things that I have read have shown great signs of intelligence. If he wrote them. I read earlier, on a yahoo music page, that "rebel rebel" is also based on 1984, and that the rebel in question is based on the line "Rebel from the waist down," which Winston said to Julia. Hmmm. I always thought it was about me! I mean, Im not that rebelious on the surface, but deep down.... Dont worry, im making it up as I go along. If you only buy one album this year (which would be a pretty stupid thing to do, I mean how boring) buy Diamond Dogs. O and Outside, and Earthling and Bowie at the beeb (only the one with him live in 2000) and Ziggy, and Aladdin Sane etc. Ok that didnt work. Im gonna go write some fanfic before I bore someone to death.
