1. Following the recent library expansion of hours, including more weekday time and renewed Saturday service, what would be your next funding priority?
My next task is to make sure the Library has the continued funding to keep it open with the new hours.  After that, we need to look our book and other published materials to make sure they are current and replace them if needed.  We also need to look at enhancing our Passport Program and look at new ways of adding services for the community.

2. Why are you running for the library board?
I have lived in Placentia for 18 years and have seen the Library go thorugh many different phases.  My goal is to make sure that the Library is best source of information in the city.  The Library has many fine programs that I want to make sure continue.  We also need to review and add programs to make sure they fit the communities needs.

3. What is the biggest issue you see facing the library in the next few years and how would you deal with it?
Funding - The Library is funded through the State and through organziations like the Placentia Library Foundation.  The Placentia Library Foundation continues to do an outstading job in keeping the Library funded, while the State of California funding has been dismal.  We need to make sure the State of California continues its funding by activily working with our local representitves and continue to promote and support the Placentia Library Foundation.

4. What qualifications do you have for being on the library board?
With over 20 years of customer service management background, I feel that I can help the Library run efficiently, work with the community to promote the Library and provice the community with outstanding customer service.

I belive in working with the Library staff and the people in the community to give the citizens of Placentia the best Library in Southern California.
