September 2-3, 2003 Slug Buggerific! One of the games lost to me when I entered "adulthood" was that of the Slug-Bug game. Ever since I started working in the group home and have become certified to drive, I am constantly being assaulted with slug-bug this and slug-bug that. Well it didn't take long before I started doing it driving around with my friends and I am pleased to report we have revived a long dead tradition among us, the slug-bug game. We have of course ellaborated on it to include the mini-cooper (shot to the junk,) Cadillac Attack, and Hummer hummer (although the last has yet to evolve into anything more than a running joke since we never hang out with girls.) I anticipated the slug-bug game getting out of hand on our way down to Provo on Saturday, calling out before we got to the dealership that anything on the VW lot didn't count. I feel I avoided near disaster and a devastating wreck as Adam, Jeff, and I would have pounded each other for all the cars on the lot (pictured below.) If there was like a weekly hero award given out I am sure it would have been given to me for my quick thinking in a crisis or something... Adam, Jeff... you're welcome for your lives. I have been getting my schedule worked out for my second job as an Indian Ed Tutor for the ESL department in the district. It's been hectic. I am working at 3 different junior highs and an elementary school. With all the hours and the screwed up schedule I might have to end up quitting the group home, but I hope I can avoid it. I would also like to publicly apologize for these comments. I don't know why people can't read all of them. Oddly enough I can read all of them at my house, but not when I try from school or anywhere else I can only get a few of the total amount. I am reading them all though and appreciate your comments even if no one else gets the chance to see them. Hopefully the dirty British host will get everything fixed. Speaking of dirty British, it reminds me of the dirty Americans. I paid almost 2 dollars a gallon for cheap gas yesterday. We "won" the war in Iraq and there are no WMD and gas is still unbelievably expensive... what exactly did we win again?

August 30-September 1, 2003 The Long and the Short of it. My mom has been out of town for the past couple of days visiting her husband in Nevada. I was very lucky yesterday to receive an invite for dinner from Jeff's family; an invite that saved me the hassle and displeasure of eating cold cereal again, a commone occurrence when my mommy is away. We ate a lot of vegetables, which hit me as weird remembering, even when I was in high school, that I wouldn't eat a vegetable if my life depended on it. It's funny how much I have changed in a lot of ways. Nothing stays the same though I guess... I mean my friends have gone away to school and they are all hanging out with or in the case of Jared (Jetta-Girl) and Tyler (Taylorsville-Girl) dating girls, something you would never have seen here. Jeff and I then headed downstairs where we talked for a minute and then ended up taking like a 3 hour nap each. Anyway we woke up and watched the first two movies, with Rachel and her friend Jen, in the Lord of the Rings staying up until like 1:30. On the "Two Towers" DVD there is a short that Rudy made for us about a midget from Thailand and some tall lurpy guy. I couldn't help but think about it on Saturday when we went over to this girl's house and I saw her and Adam standing side by side. I made them pose for a picture and the rest is history... I would talk more about our visit, but more than likely the contents would be inappropriate for the public forum. Our new little friend... or midget or munchkin or whatever the legal term for it is, is officially a little person standing 4'9". What is upsetting about that to me is she gets a friggin' handicapped parking decal. The only way I can see me getting one of those anytime soon is if I get more obese than I am already. Some people get all the luck. I think facial hair should qualify me for a decal when I go to Provo, I mean everyone stares at me like I am a lepper. I met a kid from the mission at Sam-hawk when we went, and the kids parents, whom I had never met, proceeded to ask me, "where I had lost my razor?" Goodnight folks!!! You don't even know my name and you're giving me crap about not shaving. What's worse than that... they don't even have the excuse of being from Utah (which excuses... or at least accounts for most social faux-pas and premature judgements.)

August 25-29, 2003 School has started up again and sucks. Luckily I only have to ride it out until December when it ends. Hung out with Sloan and watched some Korean music videos the other day. It was pretty fun. That is by far one of my favorite things about Korea is the mini-movie spectacles their music videos become. I got punched in the face at work in addition to throwing out my back moving furniture. The weekend was a great relief. Jeff, Adam and I headed down to Provo and met up with Kyle, Mary, Sam and Tyler. We went to Sam-hak and had some pretty good Korean food and just laughed and talked. Sam and I wore the mullet t-shirt and Sam sported the mullet (and goat) that's days are numbered as he prepares to enter BYU. We decided to take a panoramic picture where we all wore the same clothes, when we got back to Kyle's house. I haven't had time to edit it in Photoshop yet to match up the colors on the background or remove that strange growth on Tyler's head, but it looks like it's gonna turn out alright. Mary endured our immaturity and mad clothing exchange, as we took the picture, incredibly well. It was good to have her around after all this time, even if we have been reduced to being just the "Oldie Moldie" friends. Well I will leave it at that for now and update again tomorrow when I am not so tired. I will be talking about our trip to Mckenzie's house so stay tuned! (Just thought I would get some pics on as soon as possible.)
