Search diligently, pray always, and be believing, and all things shall work together for your good, if ye walk uprightly and remember the covenant wherewith ye have covenanted one with another.

Doctrine & Covenants 90:24

If I have nothing else to say for this week, I want to once again say how amazed I am at how much the Lord loves and cares for us. I find myself again in a situation when I must proceed with faith, and test some of the many promises He has given. I go not with the anticipation that everything will work as I want it to (although I'd really appreciate that), but with the idea that everything will work as it should, and will lead to my eventual happiness. I have already seen the Lord at work, and even negative events of the week (such as developing an inflammation in my lungs that made breathing painful) seem to have some possibility for adding to a positive outcome.

I understand that I'm speaking in vague generalities this week; I'm sorry I don't feel comfortable being more specific. Perhaps another time I'll be completely open, and share with you the events that have brought me to be writing this today. Perhaps I'll be sharing a wonderful conclusion to my current situations, perhaps I'll be proclaiming a wonderful conclusion that would not have been reached without first passing through affliction and disappointment. Only time will tell; the most important thing is to place absolute confidence in the Lord's power, wisdom and love. In the end, that's really where all of our trust should be.

Michael
