The Lord Jesus Christ
April 16, 2003 --

But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate they performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul.

2 Nephi 32:9

Here I am, just barely getting this page up on time; but I wasn't going to let the day pass without it. I've enjoyed keeping this page, and I'm glad to have a chance to keep in touch with all of you.

I've been reminded this week about how wonderful a gift prayer is. In a dark moment, I found myself on my knees, pleading with my Heavenly Father for comfort and direction in my life. Comfort did come, and the assurance that all things are within the power of Lord; "be still and know that I am God." (D&C 101:16)

There isn't much else to say. These are difficult times we are living in, and sometimes it is hard to know what we ought to do, or even what we ought to believe. Always, He waits patiently to answer our questions, to guide our steps and to hold us when we cry. As we turn to Him we will always find the direction we need.
