Elder Bradshaw's Blog. (Letters sent to home.)
December 31, 2007
Last day of the year! Holidays just don't seem like holidays in the

mission field. They just seem like typical days. There's no hubbub

and pomp about the upcoming holiday really, so it feels like it just

comes and goes, and we just do our typical thing. Although we've been

asked not to do any proselyting today and tomorrow, so it's about

like last week. I'm not liking it.

It doesn't look like Elder Gregory or I will be transferred. We

haven't gotten a phone call yet telling us if we are or not, so

pretty much we probably are here for another 6 weeks.

Winona is getting two elders, and West Plains is getting two more,

one of them being Elder Kaneko. I suspect that either Elder Albert is

doing Marshallese work now, or it has been closed (but I suspect I

would've been told that). Luckily the district leader will be in

Winona, so hopefully I'll be able to see some of the people that I

have been teaching.

We didn't go to Winona this week. This week has been mostly walking

and tracting since our miles are low. But, since we get more

tomorrow, we'll be going to Winona one last time to set everything in

order for the incoming missionaries. Like, for example, they need a

place to stay, possibly a phone line, but especially they need to be

picked up from the transfer point all the way out in Mt. vernon

(probably about a 3 hour drive).

I'm hoping I get to see Karen and Scott one more time. I talked to

them Sunday, and they were able to get some reading done, and they

have some questions. They're not sure if they're going to Karen's

parents' house while we're going to be down there or not, but I'm

praying I'll be able to get a picture with them.

I'm not sure what's going on with David Shelby. He seems to have some

concerns, but he's not telling us what they are. We weren't able to

meet with Erin last week, but hopefully the end of this week we'll be

able to.

These holidays have made me feel rather lazy. I'll be glad when

they're over. I've also been a little sick with a bit of the stomach

flu (mostly I just get kinda nautious when I eat), but I'm doing

alright.

We get some people talking about Mitt Romney, but mostly members.

We're not supposed to have political discussions, or specifically use

Mitt Romney as a way to talk to people about the gospel, unless they

mention him or ask.

Well, it was good to talk to everyone, and I will see you all next year!
