It looks like my e-mail last week didn't get sent of. Good thing I
type them up in Notepad and save them to my SD before I send them
off. So, I have resent last week's email, and here starts this week’s:
How did my parents do to prepare me for a mission: pretty well, I
think. I think what lack of preparation I had was my own fault.
Certainly my lack of sociality was, and is, something that I have to
overcome (and I have overcome it to quite an extent). While college
did prepare me more on living away from home, I wish I would have
tried to learn to make more meals from scratch, even though I'm
having fun with my cooking from scratch experiments (unfortunately I
haven't made wheat bricks or wheat paper lately, nor cake patties,
but I do make cinnamon phlem every once in a while). One of these
days I want to try making some homemade dough.
Not much work this week. Yeah, deer season has opened up here, but
they don't get any days off from school. We talked to a lady
yesterday and said that at her church, there weren't a whole lot of
men in the congregation.
As for our investigator, Jennifer, the branch president has felt that
we need to delay her baptism. However, he doesn't have the authority
to do that, since the mission president holds the keys for convert
baptisms. We went down to Winona and figured out what was going on,
and we'll be back down on Wednesday and Thursday to clear all this up.
New change for Preparation Days: they're on Mondays, except when
there's a holiday on Monday. Then, they're on Tuesdays.
It's getting colder here. I'm having to wear my coat in the mornings.
I dunno exactly what the temperatures are, but I think Utah is a bit
colder. At the very least, it's colder than about what Fort Smith was
at this time (I was still sweating up until a week before
Christmas!). So, we might have a cold winter this year. Luckily I
still got my thermals!
Better get going. We still need to go shopping. See ya later!
