Entry for October 22, 2007
Fine, fine. Suddenly I move, no one has my address, and they all
wanna send me mail. It's: 510 Chestnut St. #4   Huston, MO    65483.
I'd better see a major influx of mail, now. Or at least a package.

It's quite a different experience to go from a city of 60,000 people
to a bunch of scattered cities with 74 to 3,000 people. I'm not sure
exactly what to do. Everyone has already talked with the missionaries
in Huston. The cities are too distant (especially with going to
Winona once a week) to visit often, so I've decided that we're going
to start hopping on our bikes and tracting up the highways and long
roads. Especially around Huston and Raymondville. We'll probably do
some tracting in Licking, though, which seems to be the biggest town
here. No major prospects, but there is a 17-year old that, at least,
was close to baptism. We're not sure right now. Her parents aren't
supporting her that much, so she was going to get baptized in
November, right after she turns 18, but a member from the Winona
branch told us last night that we're going to have to push it back
six months. We're not sure what's going on.

My companion is Elder Hause from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He's been out
about 3 months. Honestly, he irritates me. I figure it's just me,
because my last three companions were Pacific islanders. I'm trying
to figure out how to interpret his behavior so that I'm less
irritated. For now, I just shove it, and remind myself of what I was
like three months out.

Yes, I've met Elder Salt. He told me we were related, but he didn't
know exactly how, and neither do I. Perhaps you could explain it to
me. He has red hair - about like Nate's.

I was able to talk with President Seal on Saturday. He wants me to
keep studying Marshallese, because he's going to send me back to
Springdale. He just felt that I needed a break. I'm quite glad. I'm
not sure I like my current location as much as Springdale, but the
break is welcome, as well as the fact that I will indeed be returning
to Springdale. I dunno if I'll be serving with Elder Albert again. He
told President Seal that he prefers English work, but Elder Kaneko
will need a break too.

Yeah, about my temple recommend - here's the situation: when we got
the new temple recommends, I forgot mine. I'm gonna have to wait
until the next time I have interviews with President Seal to get a
new one. He's allowing us to keep our old ones (they're unusable
anyway).

No tornadoes, but I'm still hopeful! Tell Celeste (and all the other
Sorensens) "Hello," and give her my address. I'd like to actually
hear from one of my peers.

Congratulations to David on finally getting his dream guitar - the
Gibson Les Paul Limited Edition in Midnight Blue. And on getting his
job at ATK. Hopefully soon after I can get back, I can get my dream
electric - a Gibson Les Paul Studio in Blue/Teal Flip-Flop. Good
thing I already have my dream acoustic! Ah, I miss her so....

Anyway, better get going. Gotta finish laundry and such. See you next week!
