Letter for November 6, 2006
Three days left until I jump on a plane. It seems really weird to be here. Two years seems like a long time, but when I compare to 3 years at USU, it doesn't seem so long.

I've been starting to enjoy the Referral Center, mostly inbound calls, because there's some really cool stories behind the call. A man named Michael called because he saw a commercial for the Book of Mormon twice, and couldn't stop thinking about it. He said he felt "prompted" to call. A lady by the name of Sarah said she was interested in the Together Forever video, as her family had just buried the hatchet and was getting together for Thanksgiving. What's really cool is we can send the free books/DVDs with the missionaries, and we can also use the Meeting House Locator at LDS.org and invite them to check out our worship services. More people take the latter option. We also get a few calls from kooks , but I've never really gotten them, though. Just as I start liking the RC, its my last day...Ah well.

On Sunday we watched "Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration" as a district. It's still good. If you haven't seen it, go to Legacy Theatre and watch it. Tomorrow we plan on watching "The Testaments". Oh boy, tomorrow's Fast Sunday. After that, 23 more to go! Only 713 days left!

It's been rather difficult to keep my patience with so many Elders that act like Freshmen. The Elders in my district are always trying to get one of the other Elders in my district to eat some strange concoction of food at lunch and dinner. And they're always trying to do some prank, pratical joke, or mischieveous act, and are pretty rowdy at night. I just shut the door and write in my journal or read the scriptures. I've been getting about 6 hours of sleep at night, because my roomies talk until about 11 or 11:30 and then they wake up at 6:00 to get into the shower. I get really discouraged some nights, but I just tell myself "Heck with that- keep going"

This is Elder Bradshaw signing off. See ya in Oklahoma!
