So, do I understand that Betsy is now pregnant? I have heard a couple
of hints, but no explicit statement saying: "Betsy is pregnant."
Please provide clarification on this matter in your next weekly
epistle.
I got a CD for my birthday at Zone Conference on Saturday: Love is
Spoken Here. Luckily, it hasn't been opened yet, so I can go to the
bookstore today and exchange it for something else. And "Thanks!" to
the Bates family for the birthday card. Tell Jimmy that he's got my
kind of odd, quirky taste in cards, and I really did enjoy the Batman
card for one's nephew's birthday.
Cindy told, er, wrote about her temple trip on the 14th. Elder Jaynes
was pretty jealous. By the way, one of the first things we do when
I'm getting home is either eating, or going to the temple, depending
on how hungry I am after I get off the plane.
Anyway, things are still going slowly. Elder Albert and I have a
couple of cool investigators, but they're going to be moving at the
beginning of July. It's been a bit of a slow week, possibly because
everyone is getting ready for the fourth of July. I dunno. Next week
might be slower. The ward is having a big barbecue at Murphy Park on
the 4th, complete with a fireworks show. The Marshallese love partys,
especially barbecues, so hopefully a lot of them will come out.
This last week we ended up finding a few Marshallese members. One of
the major problems in getting them to come to church is there are
multiple families in one apartment, but there's only one car, and
it's used by whoever has to work. So the Marshallese don't have
rides. We're drawing up a solution to rectify the situation.
Thanks to all for the gifts, cards, prayers, and love. They are
greatly appreciated.
Well, it's a pretty short letter, but that's all I have for the week.
'Till next week!
