Brady’s first letter (10/18/2006)
Well, the first day is over. It’s 9:45 and I’ve got some time to write a letter, shower, and do whatever else until 10:10 and then it’s floor prayer, and lights out.
I feel like I’ve been in classes all day. Everyone’s been telling me I’m gonna miss my parents, but I feel like I’m in college, so I haven’t yet.
Apparently there were three Elder Bradshaws and two Sister Bradshaws today. My companion is, humously, Elder Lefranc, which I believe is further evidence that God has a sense of humor. My companion, however, is not French.
I feel like the oldest person here. Most everyone’s 19 and I’m 23. It looks like my entire 3 weeks here have been completely planned out for me. P-days are on Saturdays, which is when you’re allowed to write letters, but I don’t get a P-day until NEXT Saturday, so you won’t be hearing from me for a while.
I won’t be getting breakfast until 8 AM tomorrow, so we’ll see how my early-morning anti-sociality goes. My companion suggested I buy some Nutra Grain bars……
In closing, I’d just like to say that so far, the only bad thing right now is I’ve got a sore throat.
Brady (oops, scratched out)
