Elder Bradshaw's Blog. (Letters sent to home.)
Entry for May 7, 2007
NOTE: apparently the email Dad and Mom sent to Brady didn't go through.

It appears that you haven't written me, so I will just write a few things.

First of all, Happy Birthday to Dad, Remy, and Tate. Congradulations

to David on graduating, and good luck in trying to find a real job!

Congradulations to everyone who also graduated that I don't know

about. Congradulations to Kevin and Jennifer on their marriage.

Things are about the same. I'm doing a lot better with Marshallese,

and am to the point where I can state that I'm a missionary and that

I teach people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That's about it, but

it's progress. When Elder Valai-Tafuga whips out a scripture in

Spanish lessons, I whip out a Spanish and a Marshallese Book of

Mormon, and try to follow along. I know just enough of both that I

can figure out what the scripture is saying. It's helping me a bit

with vocabulary. I think I can now bless the family that we're

teaching in Marshallese.

Not much more to say. I don't know a lot of what is going on. We had

a couple of investigators come to church. Elder Kaneko has a bunch of

family here. We've met some of his cousins, and he also ran into his

sister. Elder Valai-Tafuga and I are getting some pretty good

exercise in with the bikes (especially since they don't seem to

believe in sidewalks a whole lot here, so on the busy highway we have

to ride on the grass), and I feel like I'm in pretty good shape. It's

gotten really humid, and I feel gross at the end of the day. The

beef-and-teryiaki-with-frozen-vegetables Top Ramen is going great.

Combined with my

tater-tot-topped-with-chili-and-salsa-and-cheese-and-sour-cream dish,

I'm eating pretty well, but I need more fruit. I'm now accustomed to

mission life, and am doing great. Not much more to say.

Here's my birthday wish-list:

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (laminate the cover, and set it

by my other Harry Potter books--I'll read it when I get home)

Mormon Tabernacle Choir - Hymns of Faith II

Mormon Tabernacle Choir - Love is Spoken Here

Marshall McDonald and Steven Sharp Nelson - More Holiness Give Me

(I'll probably buy this CD myself)

Special Witnesses of Christ (DVD)

Socks from Missionary Mall (4-6 pairs, the $3/pair kind)

Shirts from Missionary Mall (3-4, short-sleeved, size 17)

Creamed Honey (ASAP)

Spoken Marshallese

my dictionary (on the left-most side of one of the selves downstairs,

right next to a green Bartlette's Roget's Thesaurus, should be the

New Oxford American English Dictionary), or else you could buy me a

dictionary, but make sure it has etomologies)

Also, Dad should check out a cover of Over the Rainbow by "Brother

Iz." I think he was wondering what it was some time ago.

Anyway, see you all later. And send me letters!
