Elder Bradshaw's Blog
Elder Bradshaw's Blog. (Letters sent to home.)
October 17, 2006
Well, my Dad's trying to figure out this whole blog thing, so he wants me to make another entry. So, I just finished writing my first entry in my Missionary Journal (Ta Da!), which I did right after I was set apart, so now I am an official Elder. Hooray! No TV for two years!

Everyone's been telling me that they're going to send me really good stuff while I'm in the MTC. I say: don't forget me later! I'm gonna be gone for two years; there's plenty of time to send me cookies and packages!

So, this feels more like I'm going off to college in Tulsa for two years, rather than going on a misson. Kinda weird. I'm a bit nervous, mostly with the whole companionship thing. And a bit with the whole proselyting thing, since I usually keep to myself. I'm trying to stay in a mindset of dating sucks, but girls aren't evil. I also figured out how to get those intellectuals to shut their mouths: explain quantum electrodynamics, renormalization, and Schrödinger wavemechanics for half-integer-spin particles (James will understand, but I won't go into it since he already knows, and most of you just don't want to go there).

Anyway, it's getting close to bedtime, and I'm actually kind of tired. I get up at 6:30 tomorrow morning, and I have to be at the MTC at 11:30, so we're going out for breakfast instead of lunch. I decided to go to the International House of Pancakes (that's for you, Heather Duke), since I've been wanting to go but haven't gone yet (apparently it's also one of Cindy's goals).

Stick it to The Man!
