Sounds like you guys are getting loads of snow! We've got...60's.
It's hot. But from what I hear, it will be getting colder, and in
February, we'll be getting the ice storms (or freezing rain,
whichever you want to call it).
Sounds like everyone is going through some troubles, but is still
okay. I heard about the Christmas Party through a letter from Grandma
and Grandpa, and I got it the 6th. Interesting to receive a letter
and hear of news that is happening right now. Anyway.
I'm having a bit of trouble myself. I rolled my foot last night.
Really good too. My ankle is pretty swollen, but I've gotta keep
walking around, or else I'm not going to be much use proselyting.
I didn't realize it was the end of the year until the night of Dec
31st. Elder Morrill at first was going to set the alarm for 12:00 AM
so he could say "Happy New Year," but either he decided he just
wanted to sleep, or else we both slept through it. I'm not sure which.
We had an awesome day on Saturday (the 6th). We had a great Zone
Conference, and then had a baptism: Bob Owens. One of our
investigators, Glenn Allan, who is trying to quit smoking so that he
can be baptized, attended the baptism, and I think it really gave him
more of a determination to quit smoking. Anyway, Bob will probably be
receiving the Aaronic Priesthood in two weeks (next week is Stake
Conference) or so. The Huningtons didn't come to church, so we'll
have to push their baptismal date back.
The computer I'm using doesn't have a front-side USB, so no pictures
today (sorry). I haven't taken much more anyway. Oh, by the way, the
library will be closed next week for Martin Luther King Jr.'s
birthday or whatever, so you won't be getting an e-mail from me then.
Anyway, it's about time we went out to eat and go shopping (we eat
first so that we don't buy as much food), so I'd better end this
letter. See ya in two weeks!
