Chesalon
Fortress
Continued
He spoke, and suddenly the path to the stronghold was clear.  He took my hand in His and began to walk toward the fortress.  Demons surrounded us, but they could not harm us.  The Master protected me.  As we walked, the demons began to disappear, and I became more confident.  When I could no longer see them, I let go of my Masters hand and I began to walk on my own.
Suddenly, the demons were whispering to me; leading me away from my Master.  They tripped me, and I fell flat on my face.  As I looked up, I saw that I was surrounded again.  I was tempted, and the Master was nowhere in sight.
Terrified, I cried out, Master!  Why have you left me?
I did not leave you, my son, but you left me.  The Master said, appearing by my side.  You strayed from me in your pride, and you fell.  You began relying on your own strength again.  Look where your strength leads you.  He offered His hand and I took it.  He helped me to my feet, and we set off toward the fortress, hand in hand.

I cling to Him now as I dwell in my stronghold.  Even now I hear the father of lies whispering in my ear.  Even now I am tempted.  But I will cling to my Father with all my might.  I am in His hands and no one can take me out of My Fathers hands.  He is my Father, my Master, my Defender, my Stronghold, my Fortress, my Chesalon, and He will always be with me.
