Corollaries to the Movie Day Rules
A. Saturday is an ideal day for Movie Day.
B. Movie Day usually takes place right before Andrew or Blake leaves for somewhere or something.
C. Typically, Movie Day has begun and ended at 1035 Park Avenue.
D. Ollies is the standard for our Chinese dinner.
E. Since so many snacks are present, and we want to save room for our Chinese dinner, we usually have no lunch on Movie Day.
F. Ever since the second Movie Day (2001), 40s of Malt liquor (preferably Colt 45) have been purchased for drinking during the final movie of Movie Day.
G. If someone falls asleep during a Movie Day movie they must have their face written on before they are woken up. Otherwise, face-writing is prohibited. The offender must also make up the movie watching they missed while they were asleep at the end of Movie Day (Enacted on MD04 and instituted on MD05).
H. Movie Day T-shirts should be made on Milestone Movie Days.
I. No pausing/stopping any Movie Day Movie.
J. No photos or camera are allowed during Movie Day Movies.
K. All cellphones/pagers/blackberries/newtons must be turned off BEFORE any Movie Day Movie Starts.
L. "Movie Day Survivors" (people who are present for all of a given Movie Day) will be given preferential treatment for the next Movie Day, and can make title suggestions that will be taken seriously, as they will have a bigger stake in Movie Day than "Part-Timers" (people who drop by for only a few Movie Day Movies).
M. Only Blake and Andrew, upon total agreement, can make any important Movie Day decisions.
N. We must always watch (at least) 1 quality, well made, critically acclaimed film on Movie Day. This is known as the "good" movie.
O. 6-7 movies seems to be the best number of movies for a Movie Day.
P. Ideas should be brought forth frequently to expand the capacity of Movie Day in order to keep it fresh and new.
Q. Opening Ceremonies should happen 2 nights before Movie Day so that we don't get strung out on Movies.
R. Breaks between movies are important and should involve getting outside and getting exercise.
S. The break between the first and second movie is typically short or non-existent. In the past, this has been due to starting Movie Day late or getting behind schedule.
T. Enacted/Instituted MD2005 - There should be one krispy Kreme doughnut present at the beginning of a Movie Day to represent each Movie Day past. In 2005 we had 6 doughnuts.
U. Snacks and movies should be aquired the night before Movie Day.
V. The Movie Day lineup should be set at least 2 days in advance.
