Brilliant 23rd Century computer Scientist, inventor of comptronic and duotronic systems. Winner of the prestigious Nobel Prize and the Zee-Magnees Prize in 2234 at the age of 24.
Daystrom had troubles during childhood and after his early successes earning him the title �boy wonder.� He tried to live up to this image but drove himself to a near nervous breakdown until in the 2260�s he invented a concept called multitronics in which human neural engrams were grafted onto computer circuitry thus creating the M-5 unit. He used his neural engrams for the computer. This concept hoped that the computer would act and think like a human. Unfortunately the computer inherited Daystroms mental instability as well resulting in disaster leading to the death of nearly 500 Starfleet officers. This failure pushed Daystrom over the edge finally loosing his sanity. He was placed in Elba II until being relocated to a low security Asylum on Corbik IV.

Famous 23rd century Starship Fleet Captain whose exploits are well read at Starfleet Academy. Garths achievements included the historic victory at Axanar in the 2250�s that helped preserve the Federation. In 2260�s Garth became seriously injured in a terrible accident. He recovered on Antos IV where the inhabitants taught him the art of cellular metamorphosis but did not realise that the accident had left him criminally insane. He tried to destroy Antos IV but was committed to Elba II for further examination. In 2268 Garth overpowered the colony�s staff and declared himself Lord Garth, Master of the Universe. Garth was of course recaptured and detained once again. Several techniques were used to help in his rehabilitation but none worked. In 2282 Garth had apparently committed suicide.

Starship Captain who believed he discovered the secret to immortality on the planet Omega IV. He supplied weapons to waring tribes on the planet surface and violated the Prime Directive. When his plans were halted he was later arrested and court martial. The court deemed him mentally unstable and he was sent to Elba II where he fell into a catatonic state. He later died in his room in 2269.

Starfleet Captain who leaded an unauthorized assault on the Cardassians in 2367 which was a direct violation of the Federation/Cardassian peace treaty of 2366.Suffering from paranoid delusions and apparent Schizophrenia he destroyed two Cardassian ships and one outpost believing the Cardassians were planning an assault on the Federation. He fought in the Cardassain wars. He was arrested and tried where he made the defence of being criminally insane. He was then sent to Elba II to be evaluated. He is still there to present day.

Alice is a Romulan/Vulcan child who was discovered abandoned in a run down cottage in the middle of the Banff woods on Earth. No one knows the wearabouts of her parents nor was their evidence of foul play. No one knows her real name. She was sent to Elba II after several agressive outbursts leading to physical harm of others. Alice then fell further and further into a catotonic state. The only sign of activity is her drawings and her obsessive reading of Alice and Wonderland. This has earned her the nickname Alice.
