Jamus and Carolyn met online. Yes, it does happen! Both rabid Celtophiles, they connected on ICQ to "talk" about Celtic music. In the fall of 2000, Carolyn moved from Florida to Everett WA, north of Seattle, to be with Jamus, and, on the first anniversary of her move, they were married in a very "Celtic" outdoor ceremony with Jamus' three daughters as the bride's attendants.

Jamus and Carolyn moved to Globe AZ in March 2005. We miss the girls, who live with their mom near Everett, but we stay in touch online and by phone.

Some of Jamus and Carolyn's passions, as our web pages have reflected, are Ireland and Irish culture and politics; traditional Celtic music (although we also listen to classic rock, bluegrass, old-time country & western, Old School rap... we have pretty eclectic musical tastes); old ships, planes, trains, and cars; and exploring new places. Jamus is a fix-it guy: he'll figure out how to make or mend almost anything! Before the accident that disabled him, he was affectionately known as "Jamus the Human Forklift," a modern-day sort of Goliath. While his days of benchpressing Yugos are over, he still tries to be active. Carolyn is more a reader and thinker type. (Jamus says she usually overthinks a problem!) She has a pretty w-i-d-e Goth streak, reflected in her love of hearses, cemeteries, and vampire lore. Jamus is more down-to-earth, but humors her. Must be love....

The girls are, well, girls. Aundrayah (Aundi) just got her driver's license -- watch out world! She is finishing high school on Washington's Running Start program which allows dual enrollment at her local community college. She's busy, also, with fixing up her first apartment and work. Tambre (Tam) is an Emo girl who adores Elmo! She's also a die-hard Law and Order: SVU fan. She's our rock-and-roll gurl. An active kid, she also holds the Clan Copp record for most broken bones. Kelleigh (Kells) is the baby, 9 going on 29. She loves Teen Titans, Barbie, unicorns, and princesses, which is appropriate, since she's a princess herself. Thanks to her dad's quirky sense of humor, she was singing "Rippy the Gator" and reciting dialogue from Young Frankenstein in kindergarten. She's Clan Copp's next generation's big reader, is already worried about the SAT, and wants to work with animals when she's grown up. She thinks Jamus and Carolyn should adopt a wild horse. Jamus' parents, Jim and Rhea, live in San Diego. Now that we're closer to them, we hope to be able to visit them more often. Kelleigh returned there with them after their visit here last summer, and she and Tambre visited them at Christmas with their mom. The girls love their Grammie and Poppa, and so do we.
